There are so many amazing things I could say about Dr. Brenner, his office, his staff, and his work - I really don't know where to begin. I came to Dr. Brenner more than 4 years ago when I had a history of issues and a very good friend absolutely insist it was tied to my implants. When my implants were recalled and my capsulary contracture had become unbearable I finally decided to put myself first snd get them out. I had consulted many plastic surgeons who all insisted that because I had put on weight since getting the implants, I had to put a new implant in or I would look terrible. They used words like "deformed" "miserable" and "misshapen, driving me to tears feeling almost guilty for insisting I didn't want them. Keep in mind I was also very sick during this time and was told over and over that it wasn't related to the implants. It really made me feel crazy sometimes. By the time I met Dr. Brenner I was absolutely overwhelmed and felt truly exhausted by the fact that no one believed that I needed them out without new ones being put in. I felt so miserable. I finally got to the point that I didn't care what I looked like. I just needed them out of my body. I felt like I was being poisoned, and I didn't know why I felt like this until after the implants were out. At my first consultation, he immediately told me that I did NOT need to put a new implant in, and in fact, said the opposite, that if I did put a new implant in, I would likely have the same reaction physically (he actually believes women when they tell him they, they're not feeling right!) My surgery was very complicated for reasons that couldn't have been anticipated, and even with the unforeseen issue inside one implant, my final product looked spectacular almost immediately. Over the next months and years, my health has improved immensely and even after losing a tremendous amount of weight (for many reasons including getting my life and energy back thanks to these toxic implants being removed). I knew something was wrong within 3 weeks of having a breast augmentation. I couldn't take in a deep breath, I had heart palpitations, my chest was constantly tight/sore after months, sleep apnea and many other symptoms. I had an explant with Dr. Brenner in 2021. He did a good job of removing my capsules and my scars look great. However, I am extremely disappointed and deeply regret going to him for 2 main reasons... First, his bedside manner was actually abhorrent and extremely inappropriate. During my pre-op appt, he pinched my breasts and seemed "disappointed" that I had very little breast tissue to work with in removing my implants. This made me feel quite bad in the moment, but I tried to let it go. Then the morning of my surgery, the anesthesiologist was late and he came into my pre-op room visibly upset and verbally short with me about it. It was very inappropriate and disturbing to be on the receiving end of his anger towards his anesthesiologist right before going under. Second, and this is the main reason ~ the day after my surgery, he told me he repaired my lower left muscle only. After the swelling went down, I could see that my chest was concave and I was originally told that it was because the implants left indentations in my chest wall. Which was true. However, after months of research and physical therapy, I found out that the concavity was also due to the fact that my chest muscles were not repaired properly, with my right side being much worse. When I talked to him about it, he was extremely defensive and told me he repaired both muscles, even though I distinctly remember him telling me he only repaired the lower left side. This was my ONE chance to have normal chest muscles because I have since consulted with 5 other surgeons and they do not recommend opening me back up again because of the risk of losing muscle function. Either he lied to me the next day after my surgery, or he was so careless that he didn't remember what he did the day before. I do not trust that he gave me the care and attention to detail necessary to have a successful muscle repair. I feel completely failed by Dr. Brenner and will now spend the rest of my life with impaired muscle function. I suffered from a recurring lipoma tumor on my forehead for about 5 years. I had already gone through surgery a total of 3 times! I recently had an accident and required emergency reconstructive surgery to repair a portion of my lip that had been torn away. Dr. Brenner's office had just opened two days earlier after being closed during quarantine. Given this was an emergency, I had no prior consultation. But after seeing a photo of the injury, Danielle, Dr. Brenner's Surgical Coordinator assured me the Doctor would make the repair. Within two hours I was seen by Dr. Brenner. After an extensive consultation I was in surgery, and 50 minutes later, I could not believe what I saw. My only request was that I would be able to smile again. I never imagined I would walk out of the office looking like I did. I was stunned, in the very best way. The complications of operating during a pandemic were made seamless by Dr. Brenner's staff. Jihan coordinated my intake by email and could not have been more helpful and kind. When I arrived the process of checking in was handled with extreme caution and I felt very safe and well cared for. Dr. Brenner was also remarkably attentive and spent a good deal of time explaining the surgery and what needed to be done to repair my lip. He was calm and very reassuring though careful not to set my expectations too high. In my opinion, he was humble, because the results were nearly flawless! Despite 13 sutures, and the need to repair the muscle and remove additional tissue to realign my lip (creating a lip line where it had been torn away) Dr. Brenner meticulously reconstructed the area and I knew in time, it would be virtually undetectable. My recovery was incredible. Every day I saw improvement. And everything happened just as Dr. Brenner detailed. He covered how to care for and clean the area, how to manage swelling, pain, and my activity, what I could expect from scarring, how and exactly when to start massaging the area to reduce scar tissue, all to ensure the best results. And when I had a question after surgery, Jihan was only too happy to answer. When I thought a suture might be protruding, they had me come in for a look and took care of me right away (incidentally, it was nothing unusual and they even trimmed one of the sutures as it was healing.) I cannot get over the incredible care I received from Dr. Brenner and his team. And the results a month later are astounding. People cannot tell I had surgery and I still have a few sutures inside my lip. It feels great and will only improve over time. I have never had cosmetic surgery. And this was not how I imagined seeing a plastic surgeon for the first time. Dr. Brenner and his entire team are the best!! I went to Dr. Brenner for my explant with capsulectomy and full mastopexy in March 2021. I had my breast implants for almost 13 years and truly disliked them for the last 10 due to them increasing a lot in size (later to find out that was due to inflammation). I knew I wanted to have them removed, but wasn't sure when would be the right time. So, one day I decided to look into it a little more and googled breast explant surgeon in LA and Dr. Brenner was the first one that caught my eye. The next day I called to schedule a consultation and spoke with Dani. I had heard about BII before, but wasn't sure how seriously people actually took it until Dani asked if I was having symptoms and if I would like to be connected with Amanda, their explant liaison. I later spoke with Amanda, who made me feel like I wasn't crazy for thinking these implants could be causing issues. Other doctors I went to about these issues said nothing was wrong with my tests so there was nothing to do about it. Again, I still wasn't sure at this point how serious I was about doing this procedure so I didn't schedule a bunch of consultations. I went in to meet with Dr. Brenner and immediately knew I made the right call and that I didn't need to meet with any other surgeons. He acknowledged that BII is a real thing, but he was also realistic in the sense that some symptoms could be age related or do to other issues. I appreciated that he confirmed BII was not made up and also kept my expectations in check. He was very thorough in that appointment and made sure that all my concerns were addressed. Two months later I went in for surgery. Dr. Brenner did a great job of making me feel really comfortable walking into this procedure. The surgery went really well and recovery went a lot better than I had mentally prepared myself for. I was immediately happy with how things were looking and so excited to see how things continued to shape up. I am now 6 months post-op and this may sound dramatic, but life-changing is the best way I could put it. Almost all of my symptoms have resolved and I'm just so happy with the size and look of my breasts now. I didn't realize how much of an impact this surgery would have on me - I'm far more confident in the way they look and I feel more comfortable in my own skin. I debated to write this review but I decided to because I wanted all you ladies to know who are considering breast explant en bloc capsulotomy and lift surgery to do your homework! I had an appointment with Dr. Brenner and it was not a good one. First of all, I had to wait a half hour in the waiting room before they took me into their room, then I had to wait another half hour before Dr. Brenner showed up. I saw Dr. Brenner who saw me for about 15 maybe 20 minutes at the most. The last 10 minutes was with the coordinator. She gave me her price which was the highest of the 3 well known surgeons I made an appointment with! She mentioned that it was because his office is in Beverly Hills of which I replied the other 2 were in Beverly Hills as well. With that said she made me think maybe I should look outside of Beverly Hills! Ladies I saved close to 10,000 dollars got my breast explant en bloc capsulotomy and lift with an excellent surgeon who also has been on the news/tv and is very well known for explant surgery he has done plenty of them and OMG my results are unbelievable I am so utterly happy with the results. I found this doctor through facebook explant surgery chat group. I am sure Dr. Brenner is good I did my homework but you can find surgeons out there who are just as good but does not come with that high Beverly Hills ticket price! read more

Dr. Brenner was the 2nd doctor I had consulted for breast explant surgery. I had been on the fence about explanting, but odd symptoms that would come and go never added up to anything. I had immune tests, saw various doctors, but thankfully everything came back normal. After meeting with Dr. Brenner, I made the difficult decision to explant. WOW! WOW! WOW! If you are searching please seriously consider stopping right now. Dr. Brenner and his breast team are the BEST hands down. I initially found Dr. Brenner in an article commending his aesthetic eye and how he perfected the "natural" look. I live in NV and I was not pleased with the surgeons in my area. I had saline implants placed in 2012. About 2 years ago, I noticed the shape of my breasts changing and a painful pulling sensation in my armpit area. I didn't really know what I wanted expect that I wanted them taken out given the complications I was having. I found Dr. Brenner's website and filled out a consultation form early April. The next day or so, Dani (practice manager) called me and we discussed available dates for a consultation. We talked for about 30 minutes and she explained some of the items I could discuss with Dr. Brenner during my consult (i.e. explanation with fat transfer). Dani, is like my long-lost best gal friend. She really set the tone for what to expect in Dr. Brenner's practice. I had my consult on June 19, 2020 and I felt so safe coming into his office. Everything was COVID compliant, Dani and Dr. Brenner informed me of all the additional practices they were doing to assure my safety. I HAVE NEVER met a physician who truly listens, explains, and cares more than Dr. Brenner and his team. The consult is usually an hour (which is already better than most plastic surgeons), but he took his time and allowed me to ask additional questions. All in all, I think we spoke close to 2 hours. He informed me that I had capsular contracture on both sides with the right being grade 4. I finally had an answer to the pain I was having. On July 9, 2020 I explanted and opted for a fat transfer from my lower back and abdomen area to restore volume. Since I live out of state, I had a few issues with my COVID results getting to Dr. Brenner's office in time, but his staff (Jihan, Lola, and Dani) worked tirelessly to find alternatives for me. The day before surgery Dr. Brenner and Dave (nurse anesthesiologist) called me to check in and discuss what to expect before the big day. These phone calls really alleviated any anxiety I had about the surgery. Fast-forward to surgery day and it was the easiest most painless process; I was greeted by Rosie the surgery nurse who is literally the epitome of an angel. The operating table was warmed special thanks to Rosie for arriving earlier than my 6:30AM arrival to start the warmers. I told Dave that the feeling of the sleepy medicine usually burns my hand and he was quick to assure me that he would make sure it was painless this time around (which it was!). As Dave and Dr. Brenner worked on my IV, Al (surgical tech) held my hand and Rosie rubbed my head which kept me really relaxed. Dave numbed my hand where the IV was going so I literally felt nothing. As a drifted to sleep, I was told I reached for Rosie's hand (I'm telling ya'll, she is a real-life angel). When I woke up, I had some slight pain in my back area, but nothing too serious. I've been under anesthesia several times for health-related reasons and I ALWAYS wake up crying, screaming, feeling like I can't keep my eyes open...nauseous. I told Dr. Brenner and Dave this beforehand and both smiled at me with a twinkle in their eye telling me that this would be different. I woke up and felt amazing, no crying, no screaming, nothing but CALMNESS. Rosie made sure that my husband understood the discharge orders and how to care for me for the next few days. Dave called me later that night to check on me. I felt amazing, I was tired, but comfortable. I was able to move around unassisted the next day after surgery with 0 pain. I had the best team of professionals caring for me. The entire recovery period I have felt minimal pain. Possibly a 2/10, maybe once or twice if I moved a weird way or something. When I initially had my breast implants placed, I could barely move and wasn't able to get up unassisted until a month or so. I'm coming up on 2 months post-op and I feel incredible! Dr. Brenner is a plastic surgeon Michelangelo. My breasts look 1000x better than before. I remember the day after surgery when the bandages came off, I looked in the mirror and said, "they look so real;" which Dr. Brenner and Jihan replied "because they are real." For the first time ever when I look in the mirror and I like what I see. Dr. Brenner has perfected the natural look. I cannot put into words how amazing my experience with Dr.Brenner and his staff was. I explanted August 30th 2021.  I had BII symptoms for 2 years but I continued to ignore them after seeing multiple doctors and my blood work was impeccable; etc. After talking with Sarah and Amanda the BII liaison they told me this is real. Best decision I have ever made to have Dr. Brenner do my explant! I am flat chested and I had saline implants put in under the muscle when I was 25 to make it a B cup. They were too big and stiff so 7 years later I had new ones put in and they were softer and smaller. However, they still never felt or looked natural so I always worried that people could tell they were fake. Fast forward I am 50 years old now and am really tired of carrying them in my body. Searching for a surgeon I can trust was no easy task. This is not the type of surgery I could ask around to get a referral without revealing about my implants. I did lots of online research on the surgeons' credentials, watched their videos and read the reviews. I narrowed down to three that I was going to have consultation with. However, I made my decision after having my first consultation with Dr. Brenner because he made me feel I can trust him. He listened to what I wanted to achieve, explained all the options best suitable for me, and did not push me to choose one way or another. Coordinator Dani also explained more after the consultation because I couldn't decide whether to take out the capsule or not. I ended up taking out the capsule to avoid the possibility of cancer and I am glad I did because some people had to go back for a 2nd surgery because the capsules were making them sick. One thing I was really worried about was how my breasts will look after explant since my skin and muscle were streched out by the implants for 25 years. And I can tell you Dr. Brenner did a fantastic job. They pretty much went back to how they used to look before the implants. Dr. Brenner also has a fantastic team - Dani, Clara, Jihan were always there to answer questions whenever I call. Amanda was one of Dr. Brenner's explant patients before she started advocating. She was always checking on me to see if I have any questions and giving me good tips. What could be more assuring than talking to someone who went to the same surgeon and had good results? Laurie was my anesthesiologist. She is so friendly and confident and she made me feel very safe under her care. Yoko was the nurse on the day of the surgery and she was so happy and friendly. I debated for quite some time whether or not I wanted to even bother writing a review, but after months of consideration I decided to. I drove from Palm Springs to see Dr.Brenner based on all of these raving reviews. I received a call asking for me to come in an hour ahead of my scheduled appointment. They were aware that I was driving several hours to make this appointment and luckily I left early enough to accommodate this request for them. After arriving an hour early per their request I waited almost 2 hours to get into a consult room. I scheduled and paid for what I thought would be a 2 hour consult like others stated they had with Dr.Brenner and instead I saw Dr.Brenner for a total of seven minutes. That's right SEVEN minutes. I was there for well over three hours by the time I left and that's all the time I was given with the doctor. This was after paying $250 for my consult that I was told would be informative and hours long. After this his nurse then brought me into a small room and slapped an outrageously priced bill in front of me and was extremely pushy that I schedule the surgery ASAP. I said why would I pay this absurd amount to see a surgeon who didn't take any time to see me or even act like he cared? Could I have paid cash right then and paid for the surgery that day? Sure. However this would be my first ever surgery and I was not at all comfortable after my seven minute $250 consult. read more
