Absolute professionalism and your goals in mind, they begin with review of your injury alongside your doctor's PT order and put a personalized plan in place and are explained with client/patient. As you move through your stages of exercises, the therapist explains what muscles you need to engage, how and it's importance to your recovery. After working closely with therapy team, in time you move into doing your exercises somewhat on your own. You may think the therapist isn't watching closely, but any wrong move, you'll here a voice correcting your movements/tips on how you need to improve from the team. I originally went due to a pulled muscle which eventually got worse and had a bulged disc. Long story short, I had a hard time walking and in constant pain and left with almost no pain. Some places may have asked to continue coming back because of good insurance coverage but Adam said you should be good to go and left on my last day with exercise equipment and printout of exercises that I can do from home. He works with you & never pushes anything on you. I also have a cyst on my spine that does not have to get removed. He does not remove it. He had me get the MRI to find out what was causing my pain etc. He explains everything very well & it really shows so much care. He jokes around too which I love. I will go back for follow ups as I am much better than I used to be for sure. We need more caring doctors like him. The office is very pleasant too with the staff. I booked here when I was having foot pain around 1.5 months ago. After doing research about local podiatrists, I chose this place due to their positive testimonials and experienced doctors. It was super quick and simple to book online, too. They do have limited availability for Dr. Halihan specifically (I believe he's only at this particular location on Thursdays) so be sure to check that if you'd like to book with him! The actual building has so much parking right in front and to the side which is great for Chicago. The waiting room was humongous and I was taken in relatively quickly both times. The receptionists at the front are very nice and personable, too. I had to reschedule one other time before my follow-up appointment and the lady was very helpful on the phone. They discovered I have a stress fracture and took x-rays at both of my appointments here. He listened to me thoroughly and gave me a boot to help, along with other tips on what to do to heal it. Even after a few days in the boot and not walking as much my foot felt so much better! If you're looking for an affordable doctor who knows what he's doing, I definitely recommend this place. I drove over 45 minutes for this appointment, only to be handed additional paperwork when I arrived that had never been mentioned beforehand. I was asked to provide my ethnicity and a copy of my driver's license before they would see me. None of this was discussed when I booked the appointment. Had I known in advance that this information would be required, I could have made an informed decision before making the drive. When I questioned why my race was necessary for what was supposed to be a simple facial -- not surgery -- I was told they "needed to know my race to determine my skin type." That explanation did not sit well with me. Skin type can be evaluated professionally without reducing it to race. Because I was uncomfortable with the additional undisclosed requirements, I chose to walk out. Transparency matters. If certain documents or demographic information are mandatory, that should be clearly communicated before taking a deposit and having clients travel significant distances. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and frustrated.
