Had this spot on my list of pizza places to try because the pics of their New York pizza actually looked like New York pizza. I started as I always do when coming to a spot claiming to have NY pizza by ordering a plain cheese slice. It was thin like an NY slice, but it was short on the cheese and tomato sauce. And it didn't have the crackle when I folded the crust. The sauce was tangy and a little sweet, which I liked, though maybe not very NYish. I also ordered a sausage slice and a pepperoni slice. The sausage seemed to be the pre-packaged kind, but at least they topped with it liberally. The pepperoni was solid. This was the best slice I had. The little puddles of orange grease I actually liked. Not good for you, but so good! It's really a take out place with only one table for two and a stand-up to eat-on-the-go counter on the outside like they have in NY. The guy making and serving the pizza was friendly and positive. We were looking forward to it, but it was a big disappointment. The pizza was super wet, liquid-like and soggy. If you picked up a slice - everything on the pizza slid right off like an avalanche of a soggy mess. Basically, it wasn't edible like a typical pizza. It was like the crust was the only part that had been cooked enough to not fall apart in your hands. We also ordered Mozarella sticks - and it wasn't what was advertised. Instead, it was Mozarella sticks that were rolled in BBQ sauce on the outside. It looked like poop sticks with a flavor of bbq sauce. Try eating that with your hands! He was attentive and told us he wants to make this place more of a real neighborhood restaurant, with dine-in seating and longer hours. (Currently it is essentially a "ghost kitchen," selling food under a number of restaurant names and brands almost exclusively via delivery apps, and isn't open for lunch).
