I ordered togo today during a rainy Tuesday. As soon as I walked in the staff greeted me and was immediately helpful. The food came out pretty quickly after I ordered online. Pretty much the exact time it says to arrive. Inside the was quaint and had a few small tables to enjoy. Next time I will dine in! The pizza was great. I love the taste of the crust and sauce. We placed an order through DoorDash the other night and tried two pizzas--the Momo Pizza and the Ms. Lolita--along with their house-made meatballs. The pizzas had a thin crust but were nothing particularly special. The meatballs were also quite bland and lacked flavor. I'm thinking I love this place! It's a go to spot when in the area. Decent prices, ok street parking, and shareable. One of those pizzas that have good crust, good sauce, and good placement of ingredients; and a good place to watch the world go by while eating. I can eat 3 slices unnoticed. Good NY style pizza with nothing too fancy. Staff is friendly. They'll bring out water after you order at the desk. They have hot honey too, for an extra cost. It's a small place with not that much seating though. I never seen it get too crowded around 5 or 6pm. read more

Vegan for 13 years and the vegan pizza here is easily in our top 3!!! When we think of pizza this is what we crave. The cheese melted so well. They use Violife which is our favorite. Their pepperoni is so good. And the crust is divine! It was cooked perfectly. We ordered through doordash, and was pleasantly surprised by how good delivered pizza could taste. The crust was thin with a slightly chewy texture. Their tomato sauce is really flavorful and provided a great base for all the yummy ingredients on top. They also have oven-baked wings in either plain or hot buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce ones were too spicy for me, but if you like hot wings, these are for you. The plain wings were delicious and juicy. We also got some garlic bread, which was crispy and buttery. A pleasant surprise find in Oakland on New Year's Day. Real NY style pizza on the west coast. We ordered the New York pizza pie $26 (large - 8 slices). Plenty to take home. Reasonably priced. Choice of Medium and Large size pizza pies. Pizza was not being sold by the slice at this time. A decent variety in bottled micro brews. No beers on tap. The service was friendly and very welcoming. So many orders were for pickup this day, but the seating was adequate and could easily accommodate a party of 4-6ppl. The restaurant was very clean. Also, the neighborhood felt safe and was clean. We found street parking right in front of the restaurant. I would easily come again when in the area or wanting some NY style pizza. read more

I like their pizza so much that I gave in and ordered the MOMO (pineapple, pepperoni, and jalapeño on a ricotta-based white sauce). Yes it was also because they say they donate part of those proceeds to a local animal rescue org, but it's actually pretty bomb. I've also ordered the regular pep and their cherry tomato pizza, all bangers. You can't go wrong! I've ordered in store once and they were very friendly. "Bloom" is a New York style pizzeria in downtown Oakland, that says it's got the best pizza in town! Opened in Nov 2022, this pizzeria offers NY Style pizza, calzones, salads, wings, meatballs, desserts and drinks. I got a tip from another Yelper that I should go try this place, so I went by to grab some takeout on a Sunday. I ordered the Supreme Calzone and a Large Caesar Salad. Staff were really friendly. This restaurant has a familiar layout. Narrow dining room, with the counter in the back. My food was ready on time, and I was on my way. I like calzones, it's like a pizza turnover. A calzone is a folded pizza. Some places put slashes across the top. Bloom makes a really good calzone, I like it. The dough isn't thick. When you take a bite, you taste the rich fillings. The menu says: "Ricotta blend with buffalo mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, onions, spinach, mushroom & pecorino romano." Price $15. That's a fair price for a good well-balanced calzone. Includes free marinara sauce. Also, I ordered a Large Caesar Salad. Now everytime I see some place charge over $10 for a salad, I have to wonder if it's worth it. I think this salad is worth the price. Thick grilled white meat, crunchy lettuce, croutons, parm cheese, and caesar dressing. The key thing for me was the big chunks of chicken weren't dry and were easy to eat. Calzone + Caesar Salad= balanced meal, - everyone is happy. read more

That was the best classic pizza I've had in the Bay Area in a long time! Sauce, toppings, crust were all spot-on (ordered the New York). I ate in, and it was a sweet, clean, nice space, with attentive service. Previously I had a takeout pizza, also delicious, but having it fresh out of the oven was better. Found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by. Location has lots of street parking and the inside has lots of seating and framed posters on the wall -- good vibes. We came on a random weekday maybe an hour or two after they opened and we were the only customers in the restaurant but there were people coming in for to-go orders. We decided to try the pizza Margherita and the MoMo, we asked for no jalapeños. We loved both but my personal favorite was the Momo. The Momo looks plain but it was so good especially with the hot honey drizzled on top. The pizzas were filling but light -- not the greasy kind that makes you feel disgusting afterwards. Me and a partner visited a rainy Saturday evening. Parking was annoying, but there was also a show at the New Parish that evening. I am not sure why, but I for some reason thought they had slices (fyi, they don't, ha!). The space was clean and cute. There were a variety of small 2-seat tables. There were a couple larger tables that could seat 4-6. The staff person was kind, welcoming, and answered all of our questions. You have the option for table service or take-out ordering. We were in a hurry, but ended up deciding to take our time and do table service. They noted that food would take about 15 minutes, and we were already running late, so thought why not. We ordered the Caesar and a 12" Momo. It may be hard to believe but we've found a way to bridge the divide of pineapple on pizza by ordering pineapple on half of the pie. Lol. It was on this day that I learned that it works for us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The salad portion was pretty moderate. Not too small and not huge. An ok value. The pizza was pretty good. My partner noted that despite the smaller pie, it is 'foldable'. I wish I could taste the heat a little more and I thought the pineapple/honey kinda cancelled each other out. However, I still enjoyed the pie and enjoyed eating the heated up leftovers. I'm not sure I'll be rushing back, but would consider it a solid option for a future meal given how nice the staff were. read more

Was in the mood for a local pizza joint while visiting Oakland, California. The reviews look good on this place so I decided to go pick one up. Not in the greatest neighborhood and very hard to find, parking is very limited out front. I ordered a small sausage and pepperoni. It wasn't bad, but it was very light on ingredients and it wasn't worth the $25 price tag. The store was nice inside even though it was small and Service was friendly and quick. I usually come here for lunch to have a slice but it's different rules every time , can't get more than one slice per person, the "sell out" of slices before 2 pm. Yet, a rare few possess the fortitude and skill to conjure a truly authentic slice, and to them, I am profoundly grateful. This pizza evokes such a strong sense of home that I found myself calling the pizzeria in Queens where I once worked, just to tell Sebastian, the owner, how much better this pie was. In classic New York fashion, he told me to go throw myself in front of a city bus--a heartfelt expression of affection in his own way. If your preference runs to thick, doughy crusts and tomato-laden concoctions that resemble above-ground swimming pools for rodents (with all due respect to Jon Stewart), then by all means, head to Chicago. First time. The photo attached to the online ordering menu is a little deceiving. The pizza is actually covered in spinach. The photo displays green bell peppers...but the description is clear of what's on there. I got a 16" with +$3.00 vegan cheese. I asked for half and half: half with only vegan cheese. Please d0uble slice thanks. I get the order they did the whole pie as a garden veggie and did the cheese under the veggies as a half vegan cheese, half regular cheese. Half and half is what it is. One half this and one half that. One half garden veggie - other half only vegan cheese. I waited while they remade the pizza. For people that are 100% plant based, there is a possibility you may get have some bits of dairy here and there. For the first time- It was aiiggght! After my second slice I got a slight headache...
