Completely cracked the screen on my iPhone 5S. I have SquareTrade so thought I'd have to send it in and wait a few days to get it back. Low and behold I was able to take it to a local approved shop, Gadget Pro being one of them. Brought it in and ~$103 ($99+tax on the parts) later the screen is brand new. They even stayed open a few minutes later so I could pick it up. Super friendly and great work at a great price. Hopefully I won't be back but if I do break another phone, I'm absolutely coming here! I am fairly conservative on these type of reviews, this said iPhone 5 battery was just not up to par, usually use a guy in San Fran, also excellent. He asked all kinds of questions to make sure I needed the battery, then within ten minutes of my arrival, battery installed, charged it and going on 20 hrs standby 7 hours usage and 25% left. Her haw yahoo etc etc. 10 bucks less that apple store/ no lines no wait great job. Nothing more to say. This is the guy to come to, looks as if a family operation too!!! read more

It's expensive to get your iPhone glass replaced, but this place is half the price of Apple, and my phone looked brand new when it was done. I took my iPhone 6 in for a new screen. Gadget pro told me that my phone was bent and that's why the screen was lifting. They fixed the frame for free and only charge me for the new screen. When i picked up my phone it was working like a brand new phone. After a few days the home button stopped working so I took it back in. When they check out my phone there was a wire under the screen that had split. The guy told me that they had fixed it and they didn't charge me anything for fixing my phone! Best place to get your cell phone fixed! My iPhone 4S power button got stuck about a year after I bought it. Apple store wanted $199 to replace the phone with a refurbished one which means you have to back up all your data and sync to the replacement phone. Tin at gadget pro fixed my power button and it works like new. Great work and repair was done in less than an hour wait! They are very nice, professional, and their prices are very affordable! The home button on my iphone 4 wasn't working. I tried "calibrating" it, resetting it, restoring it, etc. Nothing worked, and the voice control was coming up every 5 seconds, draining my battery and calling random contacts. I had been hearing about this place from everyone I knew... sure enough, my screen cracked. The Apple Store wanted $189 minimum and kept trying to tell me "that's IF we can repair it; you should be prepared to replace it at full price". CRAZY!!!! I knew where they USED to be (in the Kiosk outside Starbucks), but couldn't figure out which "other kiosk" everyone was referring to. Last night I'm turning in to Montecito Shopping Center to go to PetCo and there it is - at the bottom of the clock tower. It was 7:30pm and they were closed. I though for sure I would be stuck until at least Monday. I checked the sign... they are open 7 days a week! Thank God for Gadget Pro!! Don't get lost like I did - head for Petco and as you turn in to the first parking lot turn in, they are directly to your right. read more

Water damaged iPhone 5s returned from the dead! I really thought it was a hopeless case but after reading the yelp reviews I gave Gadget Pro a call. They explained that water damage can be tricky and they can't always fix the problem, but here is the deal they give you...it's a $149 repair if they can get it to work. If they can't get it working, they charge you $30 for the work they need to do to figure that out (seems fair). And here is the other part of the deal...if they can get it working, they give you a 90 day guarantee on the work in case the phone starts to have problems that show up later. So, if you don't want to buy a new phone (I am not yet feeling those "super-size me" iPhone 6's), for $30 you can take a shot at repair. And, the guys there are super nice. They took the time to explain what happened and that the only thing they couldn't repair is the thumbnail password reader which apparently got fried with the water contact and can't be replaced. And they put on a new screen protector at no charge. Nice touch. This is the kind of service you hope you won't need again, but if I ever have an iPhone problem in the future...I would absolutely go back to Gadget Pro. Highly recommended.
