My husband and I stopped for lunch on a whim. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back very soon!! Our waitress was so kind and friendly the entire time. The restaurant has a cozy, family owned vibe and we loved that. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with cavitelli noodles and my husband got the same with spaghetti noodles. I got a house salad with mine and he had Italian Wedding Soup with his. Everything was absolutely delicious!! I loved the house dressing on my salad and my husband is still raving about how good his soup was. We both throughly enjoyed our entrees as well. The chicken was cooked perfectly and very crispy. Gaetano's Restaurant: Horrible Customer Service I had a horrible customer service experience at Gaetano's Restaurant last night. I came in at 7:55pm. The guy taking orders at the front desk was rude and argued with me because they were closing at 8:00pm...even though their website said 9:00pm. I asked him why he didn't change the website, and he said he was NOT going to update the website...just because of the Coronavirus. I then said, how are your customers going to know when you close? He started to scream at me telling me they were closing in a few minutes and did I want to order food or argue with him. Went here for pizza after a really long weekend. Always drove by but never tried. Ordered a Large 8-cut pizza with alfredo and pepperoni, and a Large 8-cut pizza with sausage and mushroom. It was good. The Alfredo is creamy and delicious, and they put a little more on which I loved. The appeared to use a thick cut pepperoni as well, meaty and full of goodness. The mushrooms were fresh and I enjoy the asteroid sausage, which they serve, rather than the crumbled, sliced, or proceed sausage. OK 3 stars. Service was great. The sauce was great. Fresh ingredients great. Sausage was mild and slightly bland. The dough is where it needed some help. I noticed the bottom was cooked well, but it was a bit doughy. Pasta and marina. Period. $12. Not sure how that would constitute a meal. If you want a meatball, it's additional $. Was nice pasta and nice sauce...but $12 for that with no protein? No way. Stopped by Gaetano's on the way back to Indiana as I saw the amazing reviews from other Yelpers. It's a quaint little place, but the chair pads are worn and tattered, and the legs of the tables and chairs are in terrible shape. I was kinda shocked at the prices because another review said something about great prices. The lasagna was $16.95. I said I was going to share with my husband, because I assumed the portions would be huge for that price, and they wanted to charge me $3.95 to share. I wasn't paying over $20 for lasagna. Also, when I ordered, I asked what kind of sauce comes on the side of spaghetti that the menu says all dinners come with and was told marinara or other sauces for another charge. When the food came out, there was no spaghetti. When I asked about it, I was told only certain dinners come with the side of spaghetti. They really need to clarify this on the menu. My son's pizza was covered in grease. It was actually running down his hands as he tried to eat it. The lasagna was okay according to my husband and the ravioli looked like pre-made frozen ravioli from the grocery store. Not too good. The only reason I gave two stars is for the salad and bread, which definitely wasn't worth $50 for three people. read more

The bread and olive oil dipping sauce, excellent! This fine establishment does many things very well. Fantastic service. Going out to eat with my folks is like Seinfeld episode. The waitress was so patient while my dad was asking which portions are the biggest. I was really craving some calamari but it was not on the menu? I settled for Italian Wedding soup It was very average the broth was tasty but there was way to much pasta or what ever that was. There were only a few meatballs and not enough escarole. Disappointed! The salad was good. Iceberg lettuce with freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, olives, tomato piece and great homemade Italian dressing. My chicken parm with eggplant very good. The spaghetti was was cooked perfectly just slightly past al dente. I think it may have been home made. The marinara sauce was good but lacking a little something. My parents split the veal parm with eggplant and got spaghetti with meat sauce. The meat sauce had that missing ummff that mine did not have. They divided the plate for them and I swear each of their halves was almost as big as mine. The veal was tender and tasty. Sorry baby cow but you taste great. This is my family and I favorite local Italian restaurant. When we aren't having homemade pasta this is where we choose! The staff at the restaurant is so kind, it's a smaller restaurant so you feel like they get to know you and they treat you like family (it also might be that we go alot). The bread that they serve is so delicious sometimes I crave that alone and have to go eat there so I can have some! We have ordered many dishes through out the years and they have all been delicious. The eggplant parm, veal parm, wedding soup, lasagna, Alfredo, and chicken francaise are among some of our top picks. (My personal favorite is eggplant parm with homemade spaghetti!). Got takeout from Gaetano's tonight, and the food was incredible. I got the chicken parm dinner with spaghetti, and my fiance got their chicken marsala with cavatelli. She also got the side of their soup - no idea what it was, but she said it was just like her grandma used to make when she was little. For me, it was some of the best chicken parm I've had since moving to Ohio. This place is a hidden gem for Italian fanatics and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good lunch or dinner. read more

Very easy to miss this little diamond, situated right behind panini's. lots of parking which is always a plus. Was easy to seat on a Monday night. Italian bread came out steaming and fresh. Got a salad with my chicken parmigiana. They are definitely NOT shy with their mozzarella on the salad. And their house dressing was tangy and sweet making my mouth start to excessively salivate. I would have totally bought a bottle to go if they sold it. For the entree it's only one slab of chicken, which was tender. Had just the right amount of breaking for me. We're planning on going to Paninis right next door but saw this and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. Very friendly good service. Excellent Italian food. Got the Aglio and Sicilian Pizza. Others in my party got the Chix Parm and Linguini with white clam sauce. Comes with fresh Italian bread. And sides of soup or salad with an entree. Overall, I enjoyed it, but not so much for the entree as for the bread. Wow. It's a sliced loaf rather than a thin roll, and it's superflakycrusty, light, and sooooo, sooooo flavorful. Mmmmm! Butter fans will be happy to see the 20 butter pats that accompany four slices, too. Before I get into the other food, I should note the service. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, nice and just overall fantastic. She offered recommendations and answered questions honestly (like admitting their tiramisu isn't made in-house) -- big points for that. Now, the food: The veal francaise was drowning in lemon-butter sauce. While the sauce was just the right amount of tart-salty-savory, the dish could've benefited if it had just 1/3 the amount of it. The veal was tender and hand-breaded, though a bit soggy from the copious amount of sauce. I ordered cavatelli (though she called it cava-somethingelse) because it's made in-house. It arrived with a tomato sauce that was sweet and tasty. While the pasta was bland and heavy, the tomato sauce and parmesan and pepper flakes I added complemented it well. My tummy was rumbling by the end, thanks to the excessive butter in my dish, so I wasn't able to sample dessert. I'd actually try this place again because the prices were reasonable (I got out at $18 for dinner and a soda), the service is excellent and the bread is outstanding. read more

After we placed our orders the waitress came back to tell us my order had the ingredient I can't eat. I reordered. The salad was tasty. What a great spot! We have a vegetarian in our family and we were looking for a restaurant that serves pasta -- always a hit with vegetarians and meat eaters alike! I've driven by Gaetano's a number of times but I've never gone in. So glad we gave it a shot! We were greeted by a hostess who sat us in the small dining room The decor is rather simple but very clean and welcoming. Even before the waitress came to our table, the hostess brought over some warm Italian bread and it was delicious. Our waitress, Lori, was very nice and explained the menu to us. There are plenty of choices on the menu -- salads, pastas, entrees, pizzas, etc. We decided to get Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Parmesan and Linguini with Alfredo Sauce. All of our entrees came with a dinner salad. We all loved our dinners and the portions were large enough for lunch the next day. My only complaint (and it's a very minor one) was that some of the lettuce in the dinner salads had seen better days. But, all and all, this is a great place and I'm sure we will be coming back many times! It's one of those places where I'd like to work my way through the menu! read more
