Grilled Chicken Teriyaki Noodles and Salad
    Marc R.

We were able to eat here during their opening week and availed of their Buy One Get One Free promo. It is located in the corner of Tysons Corner ground floor food court. The servers were kind and attentive and they kept the tables clean for every new diner. The noodles were surprisingly tasty and the portions were generous considering it was a fast casual restaurant. Their business model and menu is simple choose your chicken protein base with your choice of pasta or rice with greens. Healthy and filling.

Gagawa Plate, Chef's Pan, Pasta with Tomato Sauce, Mediterranean Salad

Gagawa recently opened and I wanted to check it out before viewing a movie at AMC. Located on the first floor of Tyson's Food Court, Gagawa is right across from California Pizza Kitchen. Since it's an open area, you can pick from getting served by a waiter, sitting down at any table and ordering via QR code, or ordering through a touch screen. I opted to sit down and order via QR code, which made it easy. You can pay through your phone without having to get up or flagging someone down. I started off with ordering seasoned sprinkle cut potatoes, or just fries with zaatar seasoning. They were fried good and I had no issues finishing all of it. This left me on a good impression the rest of the food will be great too. I wanted to try what was recommended so I got the Chef's Pan Recipe, Pasta with Tomato Sauce, and Mediterranean salad. When the plate came out, it was long! I was honestly shocked by how much food you are getting for such an affordable price. The Chef's Pan recipe consisted of chicken thigh meat marinated to deliver a unique taste, with shallots, fresh mushrooms and peppers. Along side with the pasta and the Mediterranean salad, it was delicious and filling. I am in awe of how good this place is. I would come back for more since the food came out so quick. It makes sense of why they are such a renowned chain abroad!

This place looked intriguing to try. This is located in the bottom food court in Tysons mall. It is a sit in restaurant. Service was good, could be better. Ordered The Pit master and along side of the Three Musketeers Platter. Food was good. Affordably priced for some healthy food options. Would recommend if you want to eat something a bit healthier for a good price.

Roasted Tomato Soup & Crispy Mozzarella Balls
    Angel P.

I was craving some tomato soup so I decided to try this place. I only got that and some crispy mozzarella balls. Here's what I liked about my experience: -my food was ready so quick -it satisfied my craving -the lady at the front counter was super friendly -pick your own seating / lots of options -W drink selection Here's what I didn't: -I know they're supposed to "fast casual" but the idea of having "servers" while having to pay at the front or at the table before you even get your food is just really confusing. -I was prompted to tip when placing my order thru scanning the qr code but the workers all completely ignored me :/ -gets very chilly since it's open concept style right by the exit doors -mid soup -I ordered "hot water" and I just got warmish glass water of water with no ice. I was very confused,am i missing something? I will be giving this place another chance again soon with a bigger meal but i didn't have a great time this go around.

Teri & Yaki with rice and broccoli slaw

Absolutely loved this gem of a place! Fresh, healthy options of Mediterranean (Turkish) flavor but also offering American faves like Teri Yaki. Appetizer Nazik was my favorite. Grill roasted eggplant flavor is strong and served with pita. The staff from the cashier to the servers and bus persons were so friendly. Hubby got the Teri Yaki with rice and broccoli slaw. You're given a choice of noddle or rice and salad or broccoli slaw. I got the grilled breast with cheese sauce. I shall return. Oh and btw I learned Gaga's means chicken head in Turkish (per the cashier) lol learned something new!

This is their first location in the US and we really liked everything We tried a lot. I think the prices are exceptional for the amount of food and the quality of the food that you are getting. The chickens were cooked to order and they're not frozen. The pasta or rice that comes with it were very flavorful. The starter trio was very crispy. I really loved the house made strawberry lemonade actually ordered twice. Ali nazik is a Turkish meze made from eggplant and yogurt. It was so tasty. Everything was a hit in my opinion. Very clean, service was very nice. It is spacious. Perfect after or during a long day of shopping. I highly recommend this place.

The moment we entered the restaurant, the server greeted us and was very warm and helpful as he helped us navigate the menu for our first time visiting. We ordered the Ali Nazik chicken & la fiesta chicken with side of pesto pasta & salads. The interior has plentiful seating and is bright and colorful with ambient lighting. Servet B was very friendly and had such a positive demeanor. Will definitely come back!

Chicken Master Gagawa is new at the mall, we've been waiting to try it and my wife and I decided tonight was the night. First off, the photos in the menu don't look appetizing, but the pictures are very misleading, the food was really good! We ordered the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer, which came with a really good smokey jam to dip it in. To be honest, I prefer pan searing the cheese rather than the grill, but the taste of the jam more than made up for the fact it is not pan seared. We were not overly hungry so we decided to share a meal. Fortunately, the meals are very generously portioned! One meal was more than enough to share with 2 people. We did ask for extra plates and ate from the dinner plate family style. We ordered the cheesy rosemary chicken, which was definitely the right choice. Amazing!! My wife said it was probably the best chicken she has ever eaten. The chicken was very moist, and flavorful! The chicken looks like it was wok seared, so it had a char-crisp on the outside. Again, it was amazing. For the side we had the pesto noodles, which I typically am not a fan of, but I loved it! Don't be offset by the photos in the menu, the food is much, much better than the pictures.

Delicious, super fresh food, incredibly friendly service and such an open, welcoming atmosphere. Everything felt thoughtful and well done--an easy place to love and one I'll definitely be returning to.

Gagawa in Tysons Corner exceeded all expectations! The service was unmatched by any other restaurant we've visited--attentive, warm, and perfectly timed. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and served in just the right portions for lunch. My wife and I truly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning to try more items from their menu. Thank you, Songu, and the entire Gagawa team, for providing a delicious and memorable lunch experience. Highly recommend!

new restaurant in tysons! to be honest i was a bit hesitatnt to try it since there were some customers but not many inside. Also the pictures of the food, honestly don't look that great. But, with promise of flavorful chicken and for the sake of trying something new out with some friends, i'm happy we gave it a shot! I like that we can scan the menu to order and even pay at the table itself. We all got the sets with pasta and salad and actually the portion is really big! i think you could share with two people if you wanted or just enjoy a big meal to yourself. Sriracha - actually has a spicy kick and taste like a fresh, spicy sriracha! very moist and juicy chicken, cooked pretty perfectly. 3.25/5 Chef pan - it promised on the menu that with its blend it should be reminiscent of red meat which sounded fake but actually delivered! also moist but texture was closer to a steak than the bouncy chicken in the sriracha flavor. 3.5/5 Original - if you dont really want seasoning and need something safe? was not my order but even this was made pretty well. 2.75/5 Tomato pasta - boring but not bad. nothing special. 2/5 Mediterranean salad - nice sour and sweet vinegarette and i liked the cranberrries? raisins? whatever fruit they had on it was a nice touch. not a salad person but this is pretty decent. 2.5/5 Hummus - nutty and yummy. Not that special. Way too little bread to hummus ratio. 2.5/5

Delicious, fresh, tasty, healthy(ish), and yummy. My original review follows. I liked this place so much that I brought my wife here a few days later. Unfortunately, this time, the experience wasn't as good. The service was lackadaisical (I always liked that word). We were left standing at the mall entrance for several minutes before someone offered us a table. It took a long time to get menus, then longer for our drinks, and then about 15 minutes before anyone came over to take our order. This was all while the gentleman, who I would guess was the manager, stood by and watched. There's a problem with their soda machine. The Coke tasted bad. That happened last time, too, and I had thought it was just a fluke. I also noticed something that I would call inappropriate for this type of restaurant. They charge $3 for water. Where do they think they are, the Inn at Little Washington? Wait, even at their level, they don't charge for water. That said, let's get back to my original review, already in progress... I had never heard of Gagawa before. A friend suggested we grab lunch here before our movie. Now I can't wait to go back. I have only two "complaints." The first is that the portion sizes are MUCH larger than some pictures imply. Going in, I was expecting to pay main course prices for small plate quantities. Nothing could be further from the truth. That brings me to my second complaint. Gagawa put me in the uncomfortable position of having to leave food that I really wanted to eat. There was just too much to finish and I couldn't take the leftovers into the movie. I suggest that you consider one entree, perhaps with an appetizer, to share between two people. The service was great! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food was served quickly and was still hot when it got to our table. These first-world problems aside, I can't wait to go back. Though next time it will probably be after the movie.

We were having dinner with some friends and this was centrally located - plus one of our friends is Persian and she insisted - so we were offered a lovely glimpse into this beautiful cuisine. As any of you who have read my reviews know, I am Greek and Greek food is among my favorites. Well, Persian food is "kinda sorta" like Greek food only slightly different to keep it interesting. I was pleasantly surprised. We started out the meal with a sampling of appetizers. Zucchini fritters, hummus, fresh tomato salad, octopus, beet salad. All wonderful and all perfectly prepared and beautifully presented! For our main course, we had some lamb, a ground beef kabob and chicken kabobs. All wonderful. The lamb was - in my opinion - perfectly cooked; the meat was "fall off the bones" tender, just the way I like it and just the way that Greek cuisine would cook it. I did not need a knife to cut it. WOW!!! There was also a beef stew so luxuriously seasoned that it transported me to the Middle East! Cinnamon, probably star anise, cloves definitely! Really different and lovely. As good as all the food was, the rice might be the star of the show for me. They have a way of preparing rice so that it has a crust to it. The outer layer is crispy, crunchy (in a good way) and I loved that. The inside rice is tender and chewy. Divine Divan!!! The ambiance of the dining room is okay. Nothing special. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to add an additional star to this review. Service was professional and fast. Will I return to Divan? Oh yes! Do I recommend it? There are several reasons why I would choose this restaurant again for my wedding: 1. Food quality was amazing. Both our Iranian and American guests raved about the food, saying it was the best food they have had at a wedding. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was delicious without being oily, which is very hard to do. Our guests went for seconds and thirds and majority of the food was finished even though we ordered extra! Even my mom, who is a very harsh judge of Persian food, loved it. 2. Service was excellent. Wedding planning is a really stressful process, so choosing a caterer is really important. Coordination with Mr. Sanaei was very smooth. He gave us his personal phone number and texted us everything we needed within hours (including COI and business license). The business is very organized. The delivery was on-time, and all the food arrived well-packed. 3. Most importantly, the staff at the actual restaurant is just really kind. I initially just went for a meal and after being treated with such kindness, I decided to use them for catering. Honestly, I get a feeling that the staff are more like my cousins. The ability to run an efficient and organized business, while still giving us a homy/comforting feeling is what makes this Maman Joon so special! 4. Price is great! I got a quote from several Persian restaurants in the DMV area (and even other Maman Joon branches) and this was lower for the exact same meals. I wondered if it was just the vinegar or maybe mustard that was hitting too strong. My friend thought maybe it was stale like they'd pickled it too long. Not sure what it was but we couldn't finish it. When we had eaten about 60% the server came by and offered us pita bread. It would've been nice to have it from the beginning... Overall I would return to try their other foods.
