This place looked intriguing to try. This is located in the bottom food court in Tysons mall. It is a sit in restaurant. Service was good, could be better. Ordered The Pit master and along side of the Three Musketeers Platter. Food was good. Affordably priced for some healthy food options. Would recommend if you want to eat something a bit healthier for a good price.

Cheesy Rosemary chicken is so good

I am a huge fan of Gagawa. The cheesy rosemary chicken crispy onion rice, and broccoli slaw is my go-to order. My husband likes to try a different flavor chicken each time we go. And for his sides he gets the pesto pasta and mediterranean salad. I love how tender and juicy the chicken is. The flavor is always so good on the cheesy rosemary. The strawberry lemonade is really good too. If you want a straightforward, delicious and balanced meal, I highly recommend this place.

We were able to eat here during their opening week and availed of their Buy One Get One Free promo. It is located in the corner of Tysons Corner ground floor food court. The servers were kind and attentive and they kept the tables clean for every new diner. The noodles were surprisingly tasty and the portions were generous considering it was a fast casual restaurant. Their business model and menu is simple choose your chicken protein base with your choice of pasta or rice with greens. Healthy and filling.

Roasted Tomato Soup & Crispy Mozzarella Balls

I was craving some tomato soup so I decided to try this place. I only got that and some crispy mozzarella balls. Here's what I liked about my experience: -my food was ready so quick -it satisfied my craving -the lady at the front counter was super friendly -pick your own seating / lots of options -W drink selection Here's what I didn't: -I know they're supposed to "fast casual" but the idea of having "servers" while having to pay at the front or at the table before you even get your food is just really confusing. -I was prompted to tip when placing my order thru scanning the qr code but the workers all completely ignored me :/ -gets very chilly since it's open concept style right by the exit doors -mid soup -I ordered "hot water" and I just got warmish glass water of water with no ice. I was very confused,am i missing something? I will be giving this place another chance again soon with a bigger meal but i didn't have a great time this go around.

Teri & Yaki with rice and broccoli slaw

Absolutely loved this gem of a place! Fresh, healthy options of Mediterranean (Turkish) flavor but also offering American faves like Teri Yaki. Appetizer Nazik was my favorite. Grill roasted eggplant flavor is strong and served with pita. The staff from the cashier to the servers and bus persons were so friendly. Hubby got the Teri Yaki with rice and broccoli slaw. You're given a choice of noddle or rice and salad or broccoli slaw. I got the grilled breast with cheese sauce. I shall return. Oh and btw I learned Gaga's means chicken head in Turkish (per the cashier) lol learned something new!

This is their first location in the US and we really liked everything We tried a lot. I think the prices are exceptional for the amount of food and the quality of the food that you are getting. The chickens were cooked to order and they're not frozen. The pasta or rice that comes with it were very flavorful. The starter trio was very crispy. I really loved the house made strawberry lemonade actually ordered twice. Ali nazik is a Turkish meze made from eggplant and yogurt. It was so tasty. Everything was a hit in my opinion. Very clean, service was very nice. It is spacious. Perfect after or during a long day of shopping. I highly recommend this place.

The moment we entered the restaurant, the server greeted us and was very warm and helpful as he helped us navigate the menu for our first time visiting. We ordered the Ali Nazik chicken & la fiesta chicken with side of pesto pasta & salads. The interior has plentiful seating and is bright and colorful with ambient lighting. Servet B was very friendly and had such a positive demeanor. Will definitely come back!

Chicken Master Gagawa is new at the mall, we've been waiting to try it and my wife and I decided tonight was the night. First off, the photos in the menu don't look appetizing, but the pictures are very misleading, the food was really good! We ordered the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer, which came with a really good smokey jam to dip it in. To be honest, I prefer pan searing the cheese rather than the grill, but the taste of the jam more than made up for the fact it is not pan seared. We were not overly hungry so we decided to share a meal. Fortunately, the meals are very generously portioned! One meal was more than enough to share with 2 people. We did ask for extra plates and ate from the dinner plate family style. We ordered the cheesy rosemary chicken, which was definitely the right choice. Amazing!! My wife said it was probably the best chicken she has ever eaten. The chicken was very moist, and flavorful! The chicken looks like it was wok seared, so it had a char-crisp on the outside. Again, it was amazing. For the side we had the pesto noodles, which I typically am not a fan of, but I loved it! Don't be offset by the photos in the menu, the food is much, much better than the pictures.

Delicious, super fresh food, incredibly friendly service and such an open, welcoming atmosphere. Everything felt thoughtful and well done--an easy place to love and one I'll definitely be returning to.

Gagawa in Tysons Corner exceeded all expectations! The service was unmatched by any other restaurant we've visited--attentive, warm, and perfectly timed. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and served in just the right portions for lunch. My wife and I truly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning to try more items from their menu. Thank you, Songu, and the entire Gagawa team, for providing a delicious and memorable lunch experience. Highly recommend!

new restaurant in tysons! to be honest i was a bit hesitatnt to try it since there were some customers but not many inside. Also the pictures of the food, honestly don't look that great. But, with promise of flavorful chicken and for the sake of trying something new out with some friends, i'm happy we gave it a shot! I like that we can scan the menu to order and even pay at the table itself. We all got the sets with pasta and salad and actually the portion is really big! i think you could share with two people if you wanted or just enjoy a big meal to yourself. Sriracha - actually has a spicy kick and taste like a fresh, spicy sriracha! very moist and juicy chicken, cooked pretty perfectly. 3.25/5 Chef pan - it promised on the menu that with its blend it should be reminiscent of red meat which sounded fake but actually delivered! also moist but texture was closer to a steak than the bouncy chicken in the sriracha flavor. 3.5/5 Original - if you dont really want seasoning and need something safe? was not my order but even this was made pretty well. 2.75/5 Tomato pasta - boring but not bad. nothing special. 2/5 Mediterranean salad - nice sour and sweet vinegarette and i liked the cranberrries? raisins? whatever fruit they had on it was a nice touch. not a salad person but this is pretty decent. 2.5/5 Hummus - nutty and yummy. Not that special. Way too little bread to hummus ratio. 2.5/5

Delicious, fresh, tasty, healthy(ish), and yummy. My original review follows. I liked this place so much that I brought my wife here a few days later. Unfortunately, this time, the experience wasn't as good. The service was lackadaisical (I always liked that word). We were left standing at the mall entrance for several minutes before someone offered us a table. It took a long time to get menus, then longer for our drinks, and then about 15 minutes before anyone came over to take our order. This was all while the gentleman, who I would guess was the manager, stood by and watched. There's a problem with their soda machine. The Coke tasted bad. That happened last time, too, and I had thought it was just a fluke. I also noticed something that I would call inappropriate for this type of restaurant. They charge $3 for water. Where do they think they are, the Inn at Little Washington? Wait, even at their level, they don't charge for water. That said, let's get back to my original review, already in progress... I had never heard of Gagawa before. A friend suggested we grab lunch here before our movie. Now I can't wait to go back. I have only two "complaints." The first is that the portion sizes are MUCH larger than some pictures imply. Going in, I was expecting to pay main course prices for small plate quantities. Nothing could be further from the truth. That brings me to my second complaint. Gagawa put me in the uncomfortable position of having to leave food that I really wanted to eat. There was just too much to finish and I couldn't take the leftovers into the movie. I suggest that you consider one entree, perhaps with an appetizer, to share between two people. The service was great! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food was served quickly and was still hot when it got to our table. These first-world problems aside, I can't wait to go back. Though next time it will probably be after the movie.

The appetizer sampler is a great way to start the meal, the lamb chops were cooked perfectly, and the Adana kabab was flavorful and well seasoned. My only disappointment came at the end of the meal. We were planning to order dessert, but the kitchen had already closed. It would have been nice if our server had stopped by a few minutes earlier to let us know the kitchen was about to close and ask if we wanted to order anything else. That small bit of communication would have made the experience even better. Overall, this is still a great restaurant with delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. The Musakka dishes are served with a side of rice pilaf and the Omelete with a side of fries. Bottom line - all three of us found the entrees to be bland. In fairness, I have only had Greek Musakka before, but I expected more seasoning and flavor, and my friend (the vegetarian) noted that they didn't get a hint of Bechamel - only mozzarella. I tend to agree the entree was heavy on the mozzarella and light on other flavors. We agreed that the rice was very good, both in texture and mild flavor. The french fries also were very good. The service here continues to be beyond excellent. Really good service. If I could give 3.5 as a score, I would, because the service was exceptional. But this is the second time I was here and both times found the entree to be bland. Maybe that's how Turkish food is - if so, please let me know, but I doubt it. Plus they have a great track record---they've been around for 44 years. They open for dinner on Saturdays at 5 p.m. That's when we arrived and were greeted and seated immediately. We liked their two top tables as they were wide and able to accommodate several items at once without feeling cramped. Our server was prompt getting to us. To drink, we both had ginger ale. For dinner, I had Filet Mignon Shish which consisted of: "charcoal grilled tender chunks of filet mignon skewered with fresh tomatoes, green peppers and onions. Served with rice pilaf and vegetable du jour". My husband had "Lamb Chops Karaman" which consists of: "Mediterranean cut tender lamb chops grilled to your perfection. Served with vegetable du jour and rice pilaf". Meals come with a side salad which is simply prepared. Our server offered to grind some pepper over them and we agreed. Plus two warm pitas along with butter were served. We found the food to be delicious. My filet mignon was served medium rare and was very tender, moist and flavorful. The grilled veggies were tender crisp. The vegetables du jour were nicely flavored and tender. The pilaf was wonderful---moist and flavorful. My husband really enjoyed his lamb chops. There were four on the plate cooked medium. He found them to be tender and flavorful. He, too, enjoyed the vegetables du jour and the pilaf. We saved room for dessert and ordered the "Mixed dessert tray for two". The selection varies each day so if you want to order this, ask your server what is on the plate that day. When we ordered it, there were 2 small pieces of each item. There was Turkish rice pudding, which was quite good and quite different from what one expects. Also, there was some pumpkin that was sweetened and tender. Creme caramel custard was also on the platter. The baklava was the star of the plate. Kazan makes their own which is orange flavored and awesome! The phyllo dough was crispy and light plus drizzled with honey and the orange flavoring came through clearly. My husband also had a Turkish coffee which he ordered medium sweet. I had Turkish tea which came with 5 sugar cubes on the side. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated with Turkish items. Service from start to finish was excellent. We left feeling like we had enough to eat but not so much that we were stuffed. And, yes, we intend to return!

Dear Joon Management,…read more My family and I have been regular customers at your restaurant since March because we truly enjoy your excellent Persian food. I have also brought many coworkers and friends to introduce them to your restaurant. Unfortunately, during every visit over the past several months, the rice has been excessively salty. It tastes as though salt was added to the rice rather than the rice being properly seasoned. In May, I brought eight guests, and nearly everyone left their rice untouched. In early July, I returned with four people, and once again no one ate the rice. We mentioned the issue to our waiter, who was very polite and said he would inform the manager and the cook. On the third Wednesday of July, I came with two friends, and once again none of us ate the rice. I spoke with the manager, who was very kind and assured me she would discuss the issue with the cook. Unfortunately, despite reporting the problem more than once, nothing has changed. If this had happened only once, I would not be writing this email. However, after several disappointing visits, I expected that our meals would have been replaced or that we would not have been charged for food that was left uneaten because of the overly salted rice. I respectfully request that you consider providing a refund or another appropriate resolution for our most recent visit. More importantly, I hope this issue is corrected so future customers can fully enjoy your excellent food. If our feedback is important to you, I would appreciate hearing from you. I would also like to share your response with the friends and coworkers I have encouraged to visit your restaurant. My name is David A., and my email address is Shirpelang@gmail.com.
