When I asked her for my watch back, she told me to pay first. When I paid, I went back to get my gold watch from her and she said she did not have it. I've been coming here for a long time. I won't go anywhere else. It is very clean here. Their tools always come from a medically sealed autoclave bag, they bring out new buffers and files for every service, they DO NOT reuse item that are meant to be single use. If there is an issue with your service, they take it very seriously and do everything they can to accommodate you. I like to see Tammy. The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. Poor communication that caused us to sit and wait for our fingernails after our pedis were completed. Finally, after over a half an hour of trying to get someone to help us they said they didn't have time to do our manicures. You can imagine how we felt.... I voiced my dismay to no avail. They have poor customer service and really don't care about their clients. We paid a ridiculous amount of money for a bad pedi and tried to see if we could get into another salon. Hard to find at 6:00 on a Sunday night! To add to this mess we were leaving on a trip the next day. Thank goodness a place over the bridge made room for us. Thank you Lucky Nails. I NEEDED some self care after the quarantine and happened to manage to book an appointment at Gaia THE day they opened back up. I was admittedly nervous, but I really don't do well painting my own toes. The salon took our temperature as we entered and instructed us to wash our hands BEFORE selecting a polish. Be prepared to wear your mask throughout your service as it is mandated by the state. The salon also has mobile screens between clients and technicians, leave a chair between clients and technicians wear gloves through the entire process. You could tell how seriously they were taking our safety and sanitation. Once a client touches something, or leaves their chair, the staff sanitizes the entire area very thoroughly. I was impressed by their attention to detail with their sanitation. I knew I was taking a risk, but it felt like a very calculated risk with the level of care they provided. Following all Covid Measures and The most relaxing and through pedicure I've ever had! I haven't had a pedi since January due to covid. I was so desperate for a pedi I decided to drive over the bridge (from MTZ) and called a few places to see where I could get an same-day Appt on a Sunday. I did have to wait quite awhile (40 mins)with an Appt since they were so busy (with out of towners like myself) but holy moley was the wait worth it. They have custom options on their menu that all look relaxing! I chose the Green Tea pedicure. She really took the time to make my feet look and feel great. I Love that I did it feel rushed. Did a wonderful job on the pedicure, then followed up with an amazing green tea leg scrub and hot stone massage! What a treat! The massage chairs are also super nice and you have your own control Panel that's not a remote that you accidentally drop! Covid safe! They take your temp at the door and immediately have you wash hands. Everyone was wearing masks, Anyone waiting was seated at least 7-8 feet apart and they have plexiglass rollers in front on every chair. Tools are all individually cleaned and packaged. Got a pedicure and went in with two friends, one got a gel set like me and the other didn't. My friend that did not receive gel polish finished first and was told their price was $40 shortly afterwards we were finished and our price was $60. That's $20 extra just for gel polish when it says in their website it's $10. My friend and I didn't argue we paid and even tipped then an extra $10 dollars and left. We will never be returning. I arrived at 6:04p and was promptly seated... so that i could wait for 30 minutes without being helped or without getting started in my gel manicure. In that 30 minutes 4 other women showed up for manicures and all of them were helped before me even though I got there first and had an appointment. I started going somewhere else for nails and Still went here for pedicures. That was until I got an infected in grown toe nail here. I got a pedicure with my friend. We also had an appointment this time during our lunches which we were late coming back to because they did our pedicures one at a time instead of together. But the lady dug into the side of my toe nail so deep it made a cut which a few days later got infected. I had to go to the doctor to get my entire toe nail removed. Sloppy and rushed. Not worth the price. I had one gal doing my nails and then another tech replaced her when it was time to paint my nails. She did it so fast that she didn't even wait for the paint to dry even a little bit before putting the top coat on and now my nails look awful. I spent 75 dollars on a mani and pedi, and instead of it being relaxing, it was stressful and inconsistent service. I had made an appointment at 415 on a Tuesday and was seated promptly, enjoying the chair while the nail technician gathered her tools. One can lounge and be massaged by the chair while the nail technician takes care of your feet. I came in here the other day and was taken care of by Ann. The staff does wear mask, as well as follow CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of their clients. Service has been really inconsistent. I have had a really nice pedicures here, and various nail services. I hate to review harshly when people are hard workers, but I feel really bad about my pedicure today. It was $50 (still tipped $10 as I think she was stressed), I was glad to pay the price for some much needed TLC to my feet. The service was rushed (30 Minutes) and the nice products I paid for hardly had any time to work as it felt like an express treatment. The towels, the stones, the paraffin was all piping hot on the verge of painful, would have been perfect if they were given maybe 5 seconds to cool down. My feet are still very rough, and look like I had a very cheap pedicure done. I can't justify taking the risk anymore coming in. I went in 2 weeks later for a "fill" but since that's not done with dip nails, they soaked them off and started over. I told the tech they had lifted very early on - she thought maybe I was very hard on my nails. I showed her the splotchy polish color and she recommended a lighter shade. The place took my daughter & me right away even if we didn't have an appointment on a Thursday afternoon at 4 pm. It's nice to come in from a busy and hectic strip mall to this ambiance. Please keep it elegant and calm. We each chose organic polish to get the whole experience. I got the milk & honey pedicure while my daughter got the green tea pedicure. We love the bath salts included in our pedicure water. The pedicure ladies spent a good time on our feet: soaking, cleaning, buffering, massaging, and finally applying polish. Only one complaint: The two pedicure ladies sitting side by side giving us pedicure treatments had a lengthy conversation in their language in front of us. I was trying to close my eyes and relax my feet in this dimly lit oasis. Yet, I kept getting distracted by their ongoing personal conversation. We soooooo wanted to relax with our new foot treatment, especially after I drove in a 1 hour traffic commute. And, my feet was getting a royal treatment. As much as I love Gaia at the beginning there service has declined. I use to go to Benicia Spa and Tan bit for some reason they start out good and then the service just declines. I know COVID has been difficult but I would rather I get a better pedicure which is what I'm paying for the expensive one. Nice place, beautiful decor, nice amenities, but for what I pay here I'd expect the nail techs to be a little more courteous and professional. I understand Vietnamese and they were joking about all of the customers, right in front of us. I wish they were a little more discreet with their jokes. I made my appointment for 1:30 and no one started till 2. It was so quick and so sloppy. My massage lasted 3 minutes. Not relaxing at all! I felt like she was in a hurry probably cuz they just take people to get in as many people in as possible not because they are offering quality service. I asked for them to be shaped square and they were not, the nail was not cleaned. This is a 45$ pedicure! Also when I sat down the lady next to me was talking on her phone and no one (management) bothered to tell her to stop. Super rude and again not relaxing! A pedicure should be a thorough and relaxing experience, the massage was 3 minutes and felt like she was racing to get through it, not relaxing! Finally owner manager came over and spent at least 10 min cleaning them up. No apologies given. I really just wanted a nice pedicure and that apparently is just not the standard here.
