I've been coming here for dip powder and usually get it done with Nancy. However, I did a walk in and got my nails done by Lina (I think thats her name) instead. I asked for pink french tips with dip. Instead, she did gel with pink clear coat. She also did not fully remove my old nail color so you could see it under the clear coat. I wish I took a picture so I could show you guys because it was really baaad.. I was trusting the process so I didn't tell her until almost the end. I can't believe she was going to let me walk out like that. I'm not a confrontational person but I had to say something to her. Lina looked annoyed too when I told her like it was my fault lmfao. I was over it and just asked for white tips instead since its easier. She even said "so you want a new color?" Like no girl your work is just bad. I was hesitating to write this review because the ladies were nice but I essentially wasted my time and money here. I asked for a french tip almond shape with pink tips instead of white and during the service I kept telling myself to trust the process but the results were so awful I had to cut them off when I got home. The shape was an uneven round on all fingers, white tips, and very splotchy pink nail color on my nail bed. Also she filed the side of my nail bed so far halfway down my nail bed that it left it raw and inflamed. It'll take me weeks to get my nails to grow out to it's original state. Also my fingers were drier and rougher than what I came in with...I came here because of the positive reviews but I wish I didn't come at all. I have been a customer at Mystic Nails for years. The owner, Nancy, makes sure the standards are kept up. I get dip manicure and gel pedicure. I almost never have a chip so the nails always look great. I have tried other shops and always something goes wrong. I have a high arch on my nail bed and get burned a lot by other shops. At Mystic Nails, this is the most pleasant experience as they take the time to understand my nail bed shape and I don't get burned by the drill. This is a five star for me. read more

They left my hands dirty afterwards as well and the paint was uneven in color. The manicurist also kept arguing with me about the black showing underneath and refused to fix the things I had issues with on the nails. Located in downtown Benicia at the small little corner plaza where Nation's is. Parking is pretty tight in that parking lot but there are plenty of places. I'd recommend calling and making an appointment as this place is pretty small but all of the workers are super friendly and they speak a lot of English here compared to other nail shops. I believe it is family owned, a mother and daughter and son in law are usually working. I found this place because I wanted to follow my nail tech, Anh (Anne). She does such a great job, knows my nails, the styles, and is quite fast! I have been doing dipping powder for almost 2 years and once I did the switch from gel, I never went back (unless I was traveling and couldn't remove the dip myself). They're almost like acrylic but it's your real nails. They have a wide variety of colors and Anh always helps me. She does a great job also at painting pedicures, I never have to ask her to fix anything. I know she gets booked pretty quickly so I'd recommend calling in advance or making an appointment. I had a broken toenail and Anh brought it back to life, she applied acrylic and it's like a brand new toe that you would never know! It's about like $60-$70 for dipping powder manicure and a pedicure. If you do both services in one sitting expect it to take about 2 hours. I also like the video and music they keep on, very edm vacation like. It's tiny and they have a small bathroom. But it's usually always busy when I go. read more

I've been coming to mystic nails for over 10 years! They are the only place in the area that does an amazing job on my pedicures. They take their time, do a great job, and are very friendly. When I got there I only waited about 5-10 minutes before I was seated. It is a small nail salon but you can tell there are a bunch of regulars. I was a customer for a few years and I only went back because I loved my nail tech. The owner of this shop, Nancy, does not have a boundary when it comes to appointments. You could have an appointment scheduled for weeks, but she'll allow her techs to take walk-ins and do add-on services to the customer before you - making you wait 20, 30, 40 mins. It just comes off kinda greedy and I never received a "hello" upon entering the shop or an "I'm sorry" for making me wait. She's only friendly to select folks or when she's sharing about her grandson. As the owner, she has the opportunity to set the tone of the shop and you can feel how heavy the energy is when she's there, and how light it is when she's not. That's a no for me. read more

I went in to get a mani/pedi. My pedi was ok. The girl that was suppose to do my mani had another girl help her so she started doing my nails and she did a horrible job. They weee closing and the girl seemed like she wanted to go home and got up from her chair and said "ok, thank you" like she was done. I couldn't believe she would leave my nails the way they were. The has streaks and huge bubbles. Kim came and looked at my nails and she felt so bad at how terrible they looked. She sat down and immediately started redoing my nails. I had been going to this shop for a few years now after the pandemic and the owner Nancy is rude, I finally had my last straw yesterday after her continuing to discriminate against me and other black people that come into her shop, I typically don't get my nails done by her but Ann is out of town. I should have asked for Kim instead of Nancy. Nancy makes comments out loud about how long its been since I've gone without getting my nails done (Oh my god! How long has it been 2 months?!) she yelled out loud, along with TELLING me she is going to cut my nails short without me asking or instructing her to, I pulled back and said can I tell YOU how short I want them??? She then says oh you don't need to wear your nails long because they curve (my natural nails) Hm its literally a trend now with girls wearing their nails like that now even longer, but MY NATURAL NAILS are "too curved"? All this happened after I waited for my APPOINTMENT, in which I walked in and she acted like she didn't know me considering she knows me when she asks about MY MOM!! and telling her to come in when business is slow. Maybe she only wants black clients when business is slow?? While waiting for my appointment she refused to let me look at colors, it wasn't until Kim came up and said long time no see until I was able to look at the color. In the middle of her shaving my nails down not clipping them like normal, a white woman walks in Nancy perks up greets her by name and tells her to wait in the chair next to me which is not the waiting area, she was quickly offered colors to look at and at that point I had, had enough! I will never return back there. Nancy the owner is racist and only caters to white clients who frequent the shop. I went to another shop near Raleys Gaia and they were so nice! More expensive but I left happy and not felt discriminated against I will continue to go there. I get dip French Tip for my manicure and gel pedicures. My manicure lasts for more than two weeks. Longer if I am careful. I'm hard on my hands. My pedicure easily lasts a month. read more

I usually have a good experience here! Except, no matter how many times I ask them to cut/file my nails SHORT... they never do! I prefer gel over dip on my manis, and everyone does a pretty decent job! So far my worst experience here was a nail repair... I came in a week after my gel mani to fix a broken nail, and the repair totally looked horrible! Should've just paid for an entirely new set!
