Stopped in cause my girlfriend needed a fill and they did just a good job. It was a a gentleman by the front door he didn't match the color exactly but it's more like an ombra color and looks good! Very clean. The only thing that threw me off from my experience here was there was a kid in the back. I believe playing some kind of video game because they were screaming their head off. This is a well established nail salon, the owners are different but the same great service. I have been going for years. Price point is decent. They are small and personal. I'm giving it a 4 star based on good service and cleanliness. Was it the fanciest salon? No. But for the price, it was a good pedi. The menu is a little outdated...and I dare you to try and find it online. The prices are cheap esp for an SA pedi. The salon is a little run down...but you can tell this is a mom and pop shop. Local business is awesome. Definitely worth a shot. They were super friendly and accomodating. read more

Kim is excellent. She is very consistent which is most importantly the reason I'm writing this review. I very rarely review but I've been going to her for gel nail polish aka shellac since April 2021. She does such a great job so that I always leave feeling so good because my nails look exactly the way I've worn them since 1970. My nails have begun to thin recently so gel polish makes them stronger. Also I know I won't have to even think about my beautiful nails for two months. I changed color in October to red in preparation for the holidays and am returning to keep my holiday nails until I will be ready for a spring color at my next visit. One less thing to put on my Weekly To Do List! read more

I should've known better after reading the reviews, but I thought "hey! everyone has an off day, let's give it a shot." i go in for a mani and pedi, the pedicure turned out fine. they ask me what i want for my manicure and i show them. then they get started on my nails. he asks me what shape i want them and i tell him "natural shape" he says "square?" to which i reply "yes with rounded edges". i know i have bad vision but my nails are NOT rounded. they're square. strike 1. after he GETS DONE and the white is on my nails, his wife asks me "oh you wanted the polka dots right?". i say "oh yeah kinda!" and proceed to show her the reference picture again. she looks at it and says "oh, we don't have the instrument for that. we can't do that. we can give you polka dots". i decline and leave after paying $90 for a manicure and a pedicure. i left 15 minutes before they closed and i'm 99% sure they were talking about me before i left. they also left immediately after i did, so i'm not even sure that they just didnt want to close up shop early. tomorrow i'm going to another place where hopefully they can do cow print, and i am NEVER going back. read more

Terrible experience. Went to get my nails done since it's close to my work. The nail tech had me soak my fingers to remove my previous dip. When she would take them out to drill off the old dip set, she kept rubbing the nails with paper towel which pushed the gunk all over my fingers. Then once the new dip was on and she was shaping it, she ended up making my finger bleed from drilling too far back. She didn't clean underneath the nails, so now most of them are stuck to my finger tips. And to top it all off, I had to sit there twice as long for my nails to dry because she insisted on touching my obviously wet nails to see if they were dry. read more

Don't go here, seriously!!! I went to get basic acrylic and nail polish. The sign out front says $25 for acrylic he starts doing my nails and I wanna Ed regular length. Not long just natural looking. He told me $35 and I said why's the sign out front say $25 and he said that's for short. And I said okay show me. And he clipped it soooooooo short I tell you I could have just painted my nails for that price. so I did some research on the web and found another nail salon down the road and soooooo worth h the drive!!! I went to get my nails done yesterday since it is just down the street from where I live. I was a walk in so I knew that there would be a bit of a wait when there were several ladies getting pedis. Since the chairs for those who were waiting were being used as a lounger by a teenager waiting for his mother, I waited outside after signing in. I got there about 3:00 and went back in about 3:15 and was told it would be 30 minutes. I decided to just at wait in my car so I could charge my phone. I went back in 30 minutes later and waited another 15 minutes before they finally had someone to start on my nails. I am not sure of the name of the girl who did my nails, but she did exactly what I asked for and I was very pleased. I will be returning as the price is reasonable and the end result was perfect. I will probably try to make an appointment next time to avoid the wait, although it is Easter weekend, so maybe they won't be so busy next time. Update: I went for my fill today and was every bit as delighted! I had a different technician and he was very professional. I think my nails look just as great as they did the first time! read more

Almost didn't try this place since they didn't have any reviews, but I'm really glad I did! Pedicure chairs looked and felt new and had great massage features. The shop was very clean and neat. They have a range of options/prices for pedicures. I went with the one just above basic, which includes salt scrub and hot towel wrap along with a sort of paraffin treatment. The nail tech was great. He was careful and gentle and did a great job. He wasn't chatty (not that there's anything wrong with that) which was perfect for the relaxed break I was looking for. I have been coming for years to Gala nails and they are always so sweet and through. Unfortunately I have tired other places in the past to find something close to home but you can not beat great costumer service and quality work! I will never stray again! My daughter, my niece, and I have been going here for a few years. I have never had a complaint. I get pedicures and have my nails done. My daughter has special needs and they are so patient and kind to her. They know she LOVES the color pink and always makes sure that her nails are perfect! Went in today to get powder dip nails. Asked for a manicure and a pedicure. The pedicure was OK however at the beginning the water was ice cold I had to say twice too cold. When we sat down to do the nail she started to put acrylic powder on my nails and I said no that's not what I want I want the dip . I had to ask for her to cut away my cuticle. She did not attempt any type of manicure. Halfway through I began to complain about the thickness and the messiness of the nail job but she assured me she was going to clean it all up and smooth it all out. That did not happen I had to go home and clean up under my nails and on my fingers and nails themselves are so thiick they look like little patties on top of my nails. Two of the fingernails have wrinkles in them. This is the worst nail job I have ever received. Upon completion I expressed my dissatisfaction again and she said it was because my nails were too short and the color I chose needed multi layers. I did not pick a very sheer color and even still they should not look like this. read more

I went to Gala Nails on a Saturday afternoon. There was almost no customers aside from me and one other lady. I spent my time with an unpleasant unfriendly serious old man. I watched as another customer was treated to an eyebrow wax that included double dipping the dipstick over and over. Thats how we get abcesses remember? Tongue depressors cost per unit VS the bacteria floating in that jar and your face. What is more costly? The grumpy old man who did my nails refused to do two two-tone French because he didn't want to do the extra work it took to clean them up proper. He did however start out saying that he would do two-tone french until he finished everything but the painting. So I had the unpleasant surprise of being told after the fact that he wasn't able to do what I wanted him to do in the first place. This place had terrible atmosphere. Even worse hygene ethics and protections for their customers health. The opportunity to experience the wonders of cross contaminated items are high. You may walk out with a new look AND a new nail fungus or a nice fat abcess on your face. Yay! The people who do your nails are lazy and unfriendly and uncomfortable to sit with. They won't tell you that you're not going to get what you ask for until it's too late to back out. read more

This place is possibly the worst nail experience I've ever had. I went four weeks ago and I am still healing from what they did. I usually get a powder dip on my nails every two weeks. I had never been here before, but it was close by and I was short on time. So many things were wrong, but the worst is the man cut me horribly on the side of my nail. He sliced my finger right open deeply with the nail file. Because of the sloppy terrible job he did with the dip, it was thick and stuck to my fingers on the sides of my nails. He aggressively filed to try and get it unstuck from my skin and sliced my skin open like a knife was going through it. I winced and got tears in my eyes and it instantly started bleeding. He seemed unfazed and tried to keep going. He only put a drop of antiseptic on the cut and didn't apologize. The picture shows the cut healing four days after it happened. You can see how dark and discolored the cut is, as well as how swollen my fingertip is. You can also see where he cut my cuticle that also bled on the top of that nail, but that pales in comparison. He also sliced open the skin on the side of my pinky nail on the other hand. I had to use neosporin for a week and my doctor called in antibiotics when it was still red and swollen and turning dark by day 2-3. I have yet to be able to get my nails done again because that one cut is still slightly scabbed even a month later. I can't imagine what kind of infection must have been brewing. They did a sloppy, messy job, made me bleed in multiple places on my cuticles and skin, and that is all along with the fact he should have more expertise than to be able to cut someone so badly with a nail file. Further, he used the rotating file drill so aggressively that my nails must have been worn so thin that they literally throbbed and ached for days. On top of all of that, they didn't even do the powder dip correctly - you aren't supposed to use UV light with powder dip. He did. As a result, the clear coat top was chipping and flaking off by day two. Terrible experience. What bothers me the most is how the tech absolutely had no care or remorse for how badly he had cut me and that I was bleeding and teary eyed. read more

Went today with my best friend to get a mani pedi, keep in mind this was my first time ever getting one. Yes it was very clean, but the service was so rushed. They only had 3 people working. People were walking in and then they had an appointment for 4. The massage on both feet/legs and hands/arms lasted about a minute if that. The girl I had put two coats of the gel polish on my hands, but the guy my friend had only put one coat on her's. She asked for a second coat, but the guy said it was gel that she didn't it. Well about an hour and a half later it started peeling off her nails. They need to think about having more people on staff especially on the weekend. Rushing through a service such as this is not very relaxing and a waste of money if the polish doesn't last more that an hour and a half. Won't be going there again. read more
