Had lunch in the area and decided to get my nails done for my birthday. Walked in without an appointment, but did not wait long. Ruby (I believe she's the owner) recommended that I try the new T.A.P Hybrid gel. I had no clue what it was, but the colors on display looked nice (nudes and pinks) ...nothing too flashy...so it was more of my style.I forgot the color I chose, but it was beautiful. I was thoroughly impressed with the color, shine, and feel of it. Very natural. I was told that the hybrid gel is more for the shorter look since it is harder to mold and keep its shape if it was made longer. The process took a little longer due to molding and shaping, filling, and curing, but I loved the end result. I decided to look up this new product. It said that the hybrid gel is less bulky than acrylic and less damaging than gel, yet just as long-lasting as both. Impressive. I do like the look of it much better than shellac or dip. Much thinner and more natural looking, too. Ruby did a great job. I will definitely stick with this style going forward. read more

I have been getting my nails done for well over 20 years and have been loyal to my nail lady for 4. However, I had a nail emergency and with the "snow day" my nail lady was not available and is farther away. This nail salon is on my way home and back and has been in business for year. I've been coming here consistently for the past two years (minus a 6 month break while i had cancer) and i came in today for something i'd consider pretty standard especially when it comes to designs. I've never been so disappointed or let down by a nail salon. I showed her one picture first and was told it'd be too complicated and that they'd charge me $86 so i decided for something a little more simple. I asked for a black french tip with a spider web in red. She did one nail and went to do the other and told me to pick a different color because the red wasn't going to show properly on the black. I asked if she could get another red gel that would be thicker and she told me no so we did it in white. It honestly was just not looking good as a whole so we opted to do a little drip on the tip instead. Ruby then passed me onto a different lady (who was really nice) but then ruby ordered her (in what sounded to be a rude tone in another language) to go take care of another customer and not worry about me. At this point it was 3:00 pm and i walked in a little bit after 1:10 and my nails were not looking good..... i made the difficult decision to ask them to take it off as i had other errands to run and i leave for a trip in two days. Ruby was very rude with me even though i've been a loyal customer. her facial expressions and whole demeanor were extremely unprofessional and rude. I apologized for wasting their time and left. I will sadly never be returning. Whoever is in charge of this place needs to put Ruby in check because she always seems to have a bad attitude. For people looking to come here i advise that you do not get complicated designs. They do a good job when it is a simple one color design and a simple pedicure. read more

I had gotten a manicure and a pedicure with my grandmother. She very much enjoyed it and pearl was very kind to her. My pedicure by Tommy was good however my manicure was horrendous. It was dip on my natural nails so I'll be honest my nails are short but my nail ended crooked and uneven. The price of two manicures and two pedicures with a tip was $240. First-time customer at this location: I looked online and read the reviews on this place. Ruby's work looked amazing and I had time today to get a fill and called to see if she was available for a shellac fill. The person on the phone said yes, she's available. I was there within 15 minutes. She asked how I knew about her, I said I loved the photo reviews of her work. I showed Ruby a picture of the designs I wanted to get and she said that she could do it and to pick my colors. I was only given like two minutes to look before Ruby rushed me to her table. The design I wanted required a natural pink polish as the base coat so finding a color that matches my nails as a mixed race woman is difficult. But I found one I liked. She tried talking me out of it because it was too translucent. I said, "I like one", she insisted I pick a different color. She follows me to the color display area saying "I have another customer coning soon, you need to pick fast." It's only been like 20 minutes into the session. The next two best options turns out don't look natural at all, so I say "I want the first one again, and with two coats of it". She scoffed and painted them. And the color was the PERFECT MATCH (so much so that I noted the paint color in my phone for next time). I picked a couple glitters that would maybe work, but she said don't worry about the glitter and that she has one that would be perfect (the glitter is the main part of the design). I was unsure but said okay. Well, we get to the point of needing the glitter and I don't like the one she had in mind. At this point her next client has come in and is waiting... and Ruby telling telling me I am too picky and I should've made an appointment because her nails usually only take 45 minutes. And I said I called ahead and asked if she was available... the guy on the phone said she was and how am I supposed to know you had another customer coming soon, and you approved the nail designs I showed you when I came in????? And she tells me now that she can't do the design at all to to pick a solid color to paint all my nails. So now I show her a new design photo (simple glitter ombre from the tip of my nails fading upward) for her to do instead of the original I picked to help save time so she could get to her next client. I settle for a glitter, she paints it in a rush, while mumbling to the other workers the whole time might I add (in a diff language), and rushing the glitter application starts making my nails INSANELY lumpy and uneven. And before curing my last hand with the clear top coat, I tell her that I don't like it because it's messy now. I ask her to just please take it off because idk how to save it at this point. She huffs, quickly drills off the shellac/gel, and she tells me "I'm not going to make you pay for this but do not come back here, you wasted my time," & starts grabbing stuff to soak off the acrylic. And I said "No, I'm not soaking off the acrylic because I came in for a fill, I had acrylic on my nails already". And the other costumers are staring at me as if I'm like causing a huge issue.. she was so freaking rude and dismissive. I gingerly said "okay, thanks for your time anyway" and left crying in my car. I already had an awful day and thought getting my nails redone would be a nice 'pick-me-up'... but gosh... that was a horrible experience and now my nails look drastically worse than when I came in and I can't get an appointment with my usual nail tech until TWO DAYS from now. I just don't understand why I would be told that she was available if she had a costumer coming in... and Ruby herself approved my design choice knowing designs take longer than a fill & plain polish and knowing she had a costumer coming in. And she made me feel bad for not having colors I wanted picked out already when I said it was my first time there (and I was only given like two mins look through a ton of their color options), and she made me feel bad for the inconvenience I caused her. Awful. Awful experience. Just the cherry on top of an already really depressing day. read more

No wax on heels, heels still dry and cracked $60 later. Home 2 hours later and my toes are still not dry, what an insult. Manicurist simply walks away when done, no thank you or instructions. This place can be hit or miss, depending on your technician. I only go during the week, not Saturdays, and it's really quiet. It's not my favorite salon or people to do business with, but their location is convenient. NAILS: Ruby does a good job on nails, but she rushes through the manicure and is always gambling or playing some game on her phone, which is so annoying and rude. She is quite mercenary and not particularly nice or welcoming, but nails always look good when she's done, so I request her, despite her aloof attitude. Note: This is now Legacy nails. After a quick search on Yelp, I found this place. This place is a little pricier than others, however, it was the best mani/pedi experience I've ever had. I dance ballet and run, so my feet are often sore, but Ken took the time to give me a great foot massage. The shellac was done right, not touching my cuticles so it won't lift as it grows out. She showed me one after the process and it still did not appear matte -- so she did it a third time and seemed over it/ a little attitude-ish. The room was dark and I couldn't see the quality really or that only one finer nail was matte ISH (because honestly, I was happy to just have a manicure period and decent looking nails), and just left it at that as I was on a time crunch and didn't want to bother arguing for a 3rd time that it still was NOT matte. I was clearly not happy about it, and they didn't even offer to discount it. I still tipped the woman as she did do good work, just not the intended work...
