Been a while since my last visit, which was shortly after they first opened for business. Food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, either. So I thought it was time to give it another shot. Ordered 3pc Chicken Tenders with fries and a side of fried pickles. The fried pickles came first, and while they were ok, they were a little on the salty side. When the tenders and fries came out, they must have dumped an entire salt truck on them. I've never had food before that was so salty. There should be no way to screw up chicken tenders and fries, but Galactic Fried Chicken found a way to do it. read more

My boyfriend and I saw this place on a Facebook group for celiac. Every person who went there raved about it. We shared a 4 piece tender and the chicken dippers, the portions were a good size. They also bring out sauces, pickles, and water. Galactic chicken is easily the best chicken I have ever had. As someone who can't have gluten the options at most restaurants are not very good and more expensive. This place is priced well and has amazing food. The staff and service here was also amazing and seriously some of the nicest guys ive ever met. After only being there once, my boyfriend bought a shirt from them and put in on when we got home. This place couldn't be better! Perfect for this area. I've eaten here 3 times now, and the food has been amazing each time. I used to manage a restaurant, and I love when places have an open kitchen. It shows they're not hiding anything. Everything is made fresh (you can literally watch them batter the chicken per order). This poses my only "issue", it does take a little bit longer, but as my dad always told me, "You get what you pay for!" It May take an extra couple minutes to get your food, but I can guarantee you that it's worth it! Prices are great considering the end product. Attended the Grand Opening today for Galactic Fried Chicken's brick & mortar location in Dayton, KY. This restaurant started out as a food truck in Downtown Cincinnati. Big crowd, including the Mayor! Everything looked great. Fun, retro sci-fi interior and delicious fried chicken. Tenders, bone-in pieces, and an amazing sandwich (that's what I had). Breaded and cooked to order, so it comes out hot, crispy, juicy. It's open starting today until 10pm. I may go back for dinner! read more

The staff was friendly enough but we discovered that their food has monosodium glutamate, which is a derived from gluten. I was excited to try the gluten free fried chicken until I started asking questions and found out that msg was in the batter. Oh well. If msg doesn't effect you and you have to be gluten free, I'm sure it will be great. From my experience though, my reaction to MSG is worse than gluten. What really concerned me is that I wouldn't have known it had msg in it if I hadn't started asking questions. For those of you with celiacs, be careful. read more

Kept hearing how good it was so we finally visited. Very quaint spot in an old building with stamped ceiling and brick wall fireplace. Board games available so you feel free to loiter. Chicken was seriously hot, temperature wise, which is always nice Big portions. A number of special sauces. Chicken very tender and large pieces. Bad deal was the can pop-no fountain drinks. Gluten free batter with a taste of celery. Loaded fries were yummy for sure-cheeses are mixed throughout, not just on top. My husband is a foodie and it passed his test. I stumbled on this restaurant when I did a search for gluten free fried chicken. At first I didn't believe it, but then I saw their menu and realized it was true! I went to the restaurant and gave it a try. I LOVED it. In addition to gluten free fried chicken, they also have GF fried pickles. I haven't been able to have fried pickles in years and these are fantastic! They also offer GF beer and liquor. I will be back as often as I can. read more

My only complaint is the breading flavourful tasty but too much, very heavy and thick so much you really can't enjoy the chicken it overpowers the meat. I had to stop eating mid meal to write this review because IT IS THAT GOOD. Wow. The sauce is spicy enough to feel it, but not too spicy to sweat. The breading on the chicken is delicious and the tenders are MASSIVE. The mashed potatoes are amazing. Even the pickles are great. I can't say enough good things, I ordered this on a doordash whim, craving fried chicken and I am not disappointed. Will definitely be ordering from them again.
