Within the first 15 minutes the bartender also set off the fire alarms with a flaming drink so we had to wait outside for a bit until the fire department shut off the smoke alarms. I've been to several Tiki Bars in California and other locations, this one is pretty low on the Tiki Pole for me unfortunately. If it wasn't so far of a drive I would give them another chance but at this point I would rather just go to Nashville or Indianapolis for my Tiki Fix.

I meant to take my own book, but I did sit with my cocktail and read for a bit from a paperback they had. The main bar is very large and the bartender was great. They have Happy Hour from 4-7 with $2 off all drinks. They do not serve food. He said Saturday nights are wall to wall people, but when I was there on Friday night it had not yet gotten busy. I started a tab because I wanted to walk around to see the space. This is the most beautiful bar I've even been in. The owners did a wonderful job with it.
