Great food, though somewhat limited selection. Nice ambiance and often a higher end clientele than you'll see in the boardwalk eateries. Some may mention the price but really for the quality it is on par with what you are paying throughout the island. read more

This establishment is always crowded and always booked ( even the bar seats are reserved) but with good reason. This is by FAR the finest food on St. Croix. Pricey enough to keep out people in T-shirts and flip flops. Bring people you like to share wonderful food and ambiance with on the regular. This is by far the most elegant place I've been to in St. Croix. And the food pairs perfectly with the decor! I had the green curry with amazing white wine pairings (German Sauvignon Blanc and a Riesling). The reviews about the coconut creme brûlée are all spot on. The service was superb, as well! read more

Went here for our 20th wedding anniversary. The decor is really well done, even the bathroom! You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design. We had reservations for 7:30pm, but ended having to wait 40 mins. for a table. The owner made up for the wait by offering us complimentary drinks when we got our table. Service was good. We had mussels and foie gras for apps, and a green chicken curry and a pork tenderloin, and a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was good, just not memorable. We'll go back and try some other dishes in the future. read more

The food and service were both outstanding. The wine was also great. The decor is amazing an the atmosphere romantic. I had the red curry and my boyfriend got the phad Thai. Both were very tasty and well-proportioned. The calamari was very good, as well as was the coconut milk soup. I think prices are actually not too bad. This is an upscale restaurant...so it's going to be a bit more expensive. read more

It was more then good. One step in this place and you feel like you stepped out off St Croix, a piece of Asia in a big city, when in fact you aren't in either. What a gorgeous restaurant! Wonderful location and the food is fabulous. Their wine list is very impressive and unique. The only suggestion I could give is that the chef go easy on dishes that have a sauce with it. there was a little bit too much sauce on both my rib dish and my husbands lamb dish but other than that.....perfectly prepared!!! read more

We have been here twice once in December and once this April and each visit has been amazing. Each time we were greeted by the owners and treated as if we had been best friends for years. I would like to say the restaurant is elegant (as it appears to be thru the window), or that the food and service are fabulous, but I cannot say any of that because I have been unable eat there. I have made reservations twice at this establishment but never made it inside. Twice I have driven to Christiansted only to drive around and around in the evening and found nowhere to park after searching for parking for 45 minutes each time and giving up. No restaurant is worth that trouble, so unless u are using a cab, go someplace outside of downtown. read more

My vote for the best experience in St. Croix. When you walk in the doors, you feel like you have left the island with the decor, staff and music. The food has smaller portion sizes for non-thai curry options and prices seem on the high side for apps. and desserts but the food is great. They can really kick your ass with spice. The Green/Red Thai curry is always top notch and the service may be the best on the island. The chef always gives you a taste of something at the beginning of the meal and both owners are hands on and welcoming. You get the vibe (and its probably true) that these owners are more in it for creating that fine dining atmosphere and saying they run one of the best restaurants on the island then to make money. It's all about the details. It's easy to get complacent when you've been in business for a while, but this is not the case here. It is evident that the owners have thought of every detail.... From the street entrance to one of the owners welcoming you at the door and thanking you as you are leaving, fresh fish, authentic spices, consistency in food, drinks and service. Delicious, upscale Thai spot in downtown Christiansted. With beautiful decor, including carved pieces straight from Thailand, it's a great place for a date or an intimate dinner. I absolutely adore the green curry with tofu and veggies; honestly, I could eat it every day. They have also begun to carry different vegan desserts, which is an awesome step! My only gripes are that parking can be a pain on busier nights and that the portions are pretty tiny for the price point... overall, though, a lovely place worth enjoying a flavorful meal. read more

This past Friday evening was the first time we have been to Galangal since Hurricane Maria caused it to close for several months for clean up and repair. From co-owner Arthur greeting us at the door, the fine service from our waitress Kat, wine recommendation from the other co-owner Gregory, superb food plated simply, but beautifully, except for minor changes in decor nothing has noticeably changed. I was with a large group that had many different dishes and everyone was very happy. This is our favorite spot for special occasions and we will be back soon. read more

AMBIANCE- That's what you get when you visit Galangal. When Galangal first opened It was the most talked about place in Christiansted and for good reason. The owners took pride in their elegant decor and making sure they would be present as often as possible during their dining hours. Thai insipired dishes along with Thai decor you cannot go wrong. The intimate lighting and space is perfect for a date night. Highly recommended for that dress up girls night out. I would recommend trying their specials and you cannot leave without having dessert. The Shrimp pad thai and red curry chicken dishes are delectable. I opted for their flourless cake but usually order off the menu specials. The restaurant is a perfect square with most of the seating along the walls and they have a lounge area right in the middle. Its a perfect spot right after dinner to mingle and continue with light cocktails or wine. read more

Four of us went here for my birthday. It was the nicest place we ate on the island and the only one who seemed to 'get it'. When I say, "get it", I mean good food, good atmosphere, and a clean bathroom. This did not come without a price, however. We spent about $200 with four entrees, a couple beers, a couple sodas, and four desserts. It would have been nice for them to throw in a free dessert as most places do for birthdays; alas, they did not. My currie dish was a little bland but still tasty. My daughter's pad thai came out with chicken as opposed to beef as she requested (this is why every server should just write orders down) so she had to wait for a new plate to arrive while we all ate ours (I shared mine, though). The desserts were interesting and really good. My BF had different homemade ice creams and they were interesting. The mango was hard to identify really but the ginger made up for that - holy moly, it was ginger/galangal all right. Our server, Lauren, was chatty and friendly and I just wanted to tell her that I'm sure she gives just the right amount of head.. when she pours beer. LOL!! read more

My husband and I came here on our last night in town. The service was wonderful. I had their special mango and shrimp salad as an appetizer. This was the highlight. I also had a fish trio special for dinner. I really enjoyed 2/3 of the fish preparations. I really didn't care for one at all, but that is just my opinion. My husband thought it was great and finished it for me. He had some type of mustard lamb. I had a few bites and personally wish I would've gone with that because it was up there in the best lamb we have ever had.
