By far one of the best diner food I have had with some amazing services. We were a group of six looking for good food after a night of camping. Upon arrival, Hanna welcomed us with the biggest smile! Her positive attitude from the start amplified our whole experience. Hanna then handed us over to another amazing individual, Mikhaila. She had very good knowledge regarding the menu and provided excellent suggestions. As recommended by Mikhaila, I ordered the chicken & brocoli pasta. It really hit the point! Almost gave Galaxy a glowing review for giant portions and great quality, but every time I've ordered here after the first the quality is just disappearing. First order they had giant slices of cheesecake for $7. Same 7$ cheesecake on the 2nd order was less than half the size. Now I've ordered a wrap I really like from them, only to have them use the wrong tops on the container and have it cause the entire dish to become sogged to hell and back. We took a day trip with my family to Flagstaff on 2/05/2023. we stopped by around 3:30 to eat . We were all so excited to try this place. The food was good but, the service was HORRID. our waitress wasn't pleasant at all. didn't come around to refill our drinks. didn't bring any waters. They messed up on our food order, she seemed annoyed with US by the mistake and didn't even apologize. She didn't offer us any boxes for our left overs and when she FINALLY managed to be torn away from chit chatting with her co-worker to bring us our check, she threw it on the table without saying a word. we will never eat here again because of this. when my husband went to pay, didn't get one single word. Not a "how was everything? " or a damn "Thank you!" guess that happens sometimes when you hire teenagers. so disappointing. hire better servers! Teenagers who don't give a crap isn't the way to go. The whole place (especially the bathrooms which were super dirty) really could use a REALLY GOOD cleaning as well. read more

Great little spot in Flagstaff!! Stopped here on way back from Bearizona!! Something for everyone, even the picky eater! Ordered the cuban sandwich which was yummy. My third time here. Same story. Poor waitstaff. Ok food. Waitress never comes back to ask if you need a drink refill. Jelly for toast. Or anything. Ordered the big hank breakfast. Eggs over medium. ToAst light. Food comes out decent time frame. Eggs runnier then a flash flood. ToAst you could use as a scouring pad. I finally beg for a drink refill. Ice tea usually means ICE tea. I get a warm cup of tea with maybe two ice cubes left. All in all the place is cool inside. But with non trained no skilled wait staff and a manager who walks around and doesn't do table checks to make sure anything was ok. I'm done here. Won't ever be back. When road tripping on Route 66 you have to go to a diner, and why not this one especially since they have breakfast specials for $3.99? Parking - tons Ambiance - classic diner with classic American icons like James Dean, Marilyn Monroe & Elvis on the walls. A little on the worn down side. Service - okay, I wasn't expecting too much, so wasn't disappointed. Food - I got the $3.99 for a small side of hash browns - very crispy, 2 fried eggs - the best fried eggs I've had in a restaurant - very crispy brown on the edges and runny on the inside, and 2 smallish biscuits with gravy. I didn't care for the biscuits/gravy, but for $3.99, I can't complain. They have of there $3.99 specials - hubby and son got the short stack of 2 pancakes, 2 strips of crispy bacon and 2 eggs. They were very pleased with their meals. Everything was a little bit on the greasy side, but that's what this type of diner is about. Recommendation - I'm really not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I guess it's all about expectations. For the price, it's a screaming deal. My family and I had lunch here Sunday, August 22nd. We had just finished moving our daughter into The Standard Apartments across the street. We enjoyed our lunch, left our tip on the table and got up to pay at the register. Before my husband was even finished paying the bill my daughter realized she left her sunglasses on the table. She and I walked back and headed straight to our booth which was maybe 10 feet from the entrance. The tip had been picked up, the dishes had not been cleared AND the sunglasses were gone. We looked all over with no luck. I spoke to a young man and he checked to see if they had been turned in (keep in mind my husband was just finished paying the bill now) and the glasses were not turned in. My daughter immediately teared up as they were her new Ray Ban's. I then continued to look and seek out our waitress Amy to speak with her. She took down my daughters name and number. I knew someone had picked up the glasses and I thought if I kept asking questions they would turn up. Whoever picked up the tip money must have seen the glasses as they were right there next to the napkin dispenser. The table was finally bussed and I was still standing there watching. At this point I knew an employee had taken her sunglasses. My daughter was so upset, mad at herself and angry that someone would take her glasses so quickly. My daughter went back an hour later and spoke to the manager AND offered $20 to anyone that "found" them and called her. Her sunglasses never showed up and she never received a follow up call from the manager. If you choose to eat here make sure you hold onto your belongings and don't ever make the mistake of forgetting something. Chances are you will never get back anything of value! There is a thief on staff there. Yes, I am saying it out loud and I stand by my words!! My daughter worked all summer long to save her money for school and her sunglasses were brand new. It's a damn shame that people aren't honest anymore and that the manager couldn't even take the time to call her with at least an apology. I NEVER left the restaurant as I was in the entry when my daughter realized she had left her sunglasses on the table. I know the glasses didn't get up and walk out on their own! I know as an adult that we cannot control what other's do, but I also know that it IS within our power to try and make something wrong right. At least offer a gift card or something. Advice to patrons, hold onto your belongings tightly people and don't accidentally leave anything of value behind. We will NEVER go back! read more

A very fun and uplifting atmosphere while in flagstaff from Phoenix my wife and I stopped in for dinner . My wife had pot roast and I had the Cuban sandwich both were delicious .our waitress was very friendly and attentive . This vintage Route 66 historic diner is a bit worn and tired, but the prices and variety were perfect for our family of 5. My husband said that they have spicy good chili. Our teen enjoyed the stuffed French toast, added a side of bacon and eggs for $2.50 and finished off everyone else's fries. The younger ones had spaghetti and meatballs. They devoured the pasta and sauce, the meatballs not so much. My husband concurred. Our waitress provided friendly attentive service and didn't groan when we ordered water to drink and then had the kids switch to the free drinks that came with their meals. I had the meatloaf, Howard had chicken parmesan. My meatloaf was dry. The flavor was okay, for an inexpensive lunch. Suggestion to the cook, don't use powder brown Gravy, get some kitchen bouquet and make your own. The mix is too salty, add some onion powder and garlic powder...better. So disappointed. Part of our 8 top had dined here before and wanted to return so we did. We wont go again. Arrived early to allow time for them to accommodate large group. No one attending the front. Finally a waiter told me they'd need time to prepare a table. A sign at the door said "no shakes". A dirty table with beer bottles directly across from hostess stand. This was 10:30 am on a Sunday!! Wonder how long that unbussed table had been there? After three different people came to ask how many in our party in the course of our 15 min wait we were finally shown to two booths which we put together. It only went down from there. Part of food arrived 7 of the 8 orders. Every plate was cold or at best lukewarm, when we brought to attention of waiter he said he'd been working in the "freezer". Obviously the food had been sitting somewhere instead of brought to table. When asked about the missing meal waiters face told the story, he'd never turned it in. The only reason we give a one star is goofy waiter tried to appease us by comping our drinks and giving a 10% discount. At no time did we see a manager or someone in charge. The restrooms are old and in dire need of remodeling. When we left we noticed two waiters out back smoking. I'm going to take a wild guess and say they were "working in the freezer"! I requested boxes and the bill early in our meal service just so that we could leave the awful environment we were in. The food was not technically bad tasting, but I could not trust the safety of the foods given the state of the diner and employees. We came in to a not very busy restaurant and were told to wait until they had a table available, with over 60% of the tables empty we sat in their waiting area. We were finally seated 20 minutes later where we then had to wait 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order: 2 shakes and an order of fries (which were delicious) After finishing our food we had the check dropped off waited yet another 20 minutes for our check to be collected before leaving cash and walking out. We tried to come in today to try the food but were then again not greeted upon walking in and waited 10 minutes before walking out. While this place may have great food (I've yet to find out) the service here is by far the worst in flagstaff!!! read more

My wife and I went there for breakfast. What a mistake. Horrible experience. We noticed when we sat down the table was dirty. The chrome hood above the bar stools was streaked with finger prints and a brass bell on the wall was dusty. Our waitress Cassandra waitress pouch she was wearing was filthy. However this review is not about the health code violations. Cassandra took our order. We waited 25 Minutes for our meal. When it arrived I did not get what I ordered. I told Cassandra this and she told me "You are wrong I wrote it down." I asked My wife and she agreed with me. I told her no that is not right and she told me quite rudely I was wrong again. Didn't apologize, didn't try to solve the situation. Again was Uber rude. I said I don't want it and she left. After about 10 more Minutes of waiting I asked for the manager. Instead if sending out the real manager a blond older woman they sent out a Opey looking kid about 20. Who said we would not be charged and we could go. Then on the way out I told Cassandra that she is a terrible waitress and she told me she was great and had been doing this for years. She started to follow My wife and I out of the restaurant still arguing with us. I thought it was going to be a running battle out To the car. This place is horrid and management needs to do a better job training their staff. Don't waste your money here there so many better restaurants in Flagstaff. read more

We stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago. The server brought out two of three shakes that we ordered. We thought that she went back for the other shake, but she didn't return. We eventually were able to get her attention. She seemed totally unaware of the other shake. We then waited over another hour for our food, meanwhile, everyone that had come in after us had received their food. The server brought one of the sandwiches and a short stack of pancakes (that we hadn't ordered). The hamburgers that we ordered never arrived. The manager eventually came over and offered us a voucher to return. We decided to give them another chance today. After waiting for several minutes at the hostess stand, we were told that it would be a 5-10 minute wait. While we were waiting, we saw a server drinking a milkshake, another changing the music and the rest acting like we weren't there. The most disturbing thing was seeing the manager hugging customers and touching his female staff on the shoulder or waist. After waiting for 25 minutes, we walked out. This place is the worst! If you are thinking about stopping here, I would recommend that you reconsider. They don't deserve your business! read more

This place is an absolute joke for Flagstaff. I don't write reviews very often especially bad ones because iv been in the service industry for the last 10 years and can understand most things that go wrong but I can honestly say that I will never go back here again. We walk in and get seated right away and there were only two other tables besides us each with their own server. We waited and waited but neither one of them came up to us. After 25 minutes of them flirting behind the counter top the host finally reminded the girl that she had another table that was waiting. Once she finally came up we ordered our drinks and our food at once because we honestly did not have high hopes of her returning to the table. This girl was stoned out of her mind! She goes to go put in our order and forgets the whole thing so has to come back to ask it again. In the middle of my husband speaking and telling her the order she looks over at me and says "I like your tattoos" AND WALKS AWAY! So then we see her at the computer putting something in and then she goes back to screwing around behind the counter. Never brought us our drinks or water. So after another 20 minutes of sitting there with no drinks and now being the only table in the whole place we got up and left and asked them to cancel the order. She looked at us and said "did I take your order?" HAHA A JOKE OF A BUISNESS! Who allows shit like that? I seriously could not believe it. To be honest I probably would of stuck it out if she just would have brought me a glass of water but I couldn't even get that. I do not recommend at all!
