I ordered honeycomb window shades from Galaxy through a Costco order. Their service has been top-notch every step of the way. The salesperson who came to my home was knowledgeable and friendly. She discussed options with me even though I had a pretty good idea what I wanted. The expert measurer came out as soon as I signed the contract. Delivery of the blinds was not super quick (6 weeks?) but I was kept informed and was able to choose the exact day I wanted installation once the order was ready. Installation was quick. I'm attaching a photo to show what I was going for. I wanted top down blinds so I could see the pretty camellia trees outside. My only reservation is that the blinds were more expensive than I expected. But the price was clearly laid out before I ordered. And since I started the order through Costco I did get a Costco card for 10% of the amount I spent. Overall I would call Galaxy a super reliable company. read more

The Costco Pricing for a SunSetter Motorized Awning XL 20 feet by 11 feet 10 inches projection is $3512 (normally $4391). $3512 plus 10% local tax is $3864.08. Delivery/Shipping of $378. Installation of $750. This is a total price of $4992.08. Galaxy Draperies estimate price was $6719 (after the 20% Costco discount). They wanted $8412 upfront. This is a difference in price of $1721 over the advertised price. The person from Galaxy Draperies was not able to explain the difference telling me all of the prices were lumped into one. I asked him for a breakdown of prices and he could not give it to me. There are a few possibilities: 1. They are not being honest with pricing 2. They made a mistake in their calculations 3. The pricing on the Costco website with SunSetter products is not accurate Since Galaxy Draperies works directly with Costco on this particular product, they should have the same pricing as I am getting. I have included a price list of the item we were looking to purchase. If I were to order the product directly from SunSetter it would be: $4697 (with a $200 discount) shipping $378 Tax: $446.21 Total: $5,521.21 before installation With installation $6271.21. So, going directly to SunSetter's website without the 20% discount is still close to $500 less than the quote they are giving. But this isn't the end. If you go with this company, you don't get the 20% off the price. You get a Costco Cash card to be used towards Costco merchandise. So, you're actually paying $8412 up front.
