We bought drapes via costco with this company. Unfortunately they have not been great at all. We have had issues opening/closing drapes and all we get is well, your drapes are out of warranty. We are gentle and take care of our things. the drapes should not be breaking. The first issue, i called, they would not help so i fixed it myself. Now we have another issues with the drapes not retracting and again they said it was out of warranty and would have to ship the drapes to be fixed. i explained it looked like a simple PLASTIC pieace that was broken. They would not help. If they made items without plastic their drapes would last much longer. Also, lasti was at costco, they no longer use galaxy as their vendor which tells me something, that their service is not up to code with their standards. Would not recommend this company. As usual, placing blame or out of warranty to get out of a simple fix. read more

I also appreciated my consultation with Liz who knows everything about shades and took time to talk through all the options in design and material. We bought our home a year ago and needed new shades for the living area. Two windows came with shades and the two front windows had none. I met a vendor at Costco and scheduled an appointment. The person who came to my home provided sample materials and the different options for window covering, such as accordion shades, roller shades, shutters, and whether I wanted them to open/close manually or through remote control. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was also happy that she used to be an interior designer so I felt confident with my decision and that it would match well with my living space. Alfredo from Galaxy Draperies installed our roller shades in our living room and we love how clean and elegant they are. He came within the window of time and installed them within an hour and a half. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We are so happy with our purchase! The cost of the shades was high (we didn't know what to expect in cost) but we know we have the Costco guarantee and that the quality is excellent. Our windows are custom-sized and we wanted shades that still allowed in natural light. They also protect from UV rays to keep our home cool and add the necessary privacy and elegance we wanted. We were very happy with the service we received from Galaxy Drapery. Antonio came out to do the final measurements for our shades. Since our original measurements, we had new windows installed. Our contact at Galaxy told us that they would send someone out to remeasure before they made our shades. Antonio did a great job remeasuring the four windows in that room, as everything fit perfectly. He was very professional, on time, accurate, and quick. Then this week, John came out from Galaxy to install our new shades. He was also very professional, on time, accurate, quick and neat. Installation went perfectly. When he was finished, he spent some time showing us how to operate the shades, and what options we had for opening and closing the shades. Both men were friendly and helpful. We love our new shades! We went with Galaxy Draperies through Costco and got 7 motorized blinds, all roller shades. The overall process was very smooth - Raevynn outlined the options and was very patient with us, returning a few times with the swatches so my fiancé could see them. She was also extremely accommodating and gracious with a last-minute schedule change that was 100% on me. Her recommendations for the layout of the blinds was also very helpful, they came out great and make perfect sense how they're oriented with the charging ports. Install was very smooth and seamless as well, the technician Evan was very helpful and courteous. Going through Costco gets you a bunch of benefits and a shop card which was great, and though motorized shades are pricey, it was well worth it in our opinion. We've had the blinds installed for a little over half a year and they still look as fantastic as day 1. Early on, we had to call for tech support when one of the blinds glitched out, it took me awhile to get a hold of somebody at the office but once I did, Evan was able to come out in a jiffy and fix the problem. I will probably call them out again to address a couple remaining oddities: we discovered two different blinds are now somehow paired to the same remote button (and shouldn't be), and one of the blinds seems to run low on battery much faster than the others. Since the shades are motorized, we can control them with an app too. The app itself is fine and works decently well, but with a little effort we got them loaded into Google Home which makes using them even easier. Overall we're satisfied with our purchase and looking forward to replacing the remainder of our old blinds with the same style from Galaxy. read more

We just got our shades installed yesterday, and I am very impressed with the level of service and quality throughout the entire process. While priced at the higher end, you really do get what you pay for, except with Galaxy, I found you really do get quite a bit of value for the investment. From the in-home consultation (honestly, you really need that to see how the colors and textures look in the room), to the customer service and design work, to the install, everything was handled with white glove care and incredible thoughtfulness. Each interaction felt like they really cared about my satisfaction with the outcome, and I felt supported the entire way along. Angelique was an absolute joy to work with, as was Stella and Brianne. Evan our installer worked meticulously and quickly to ensure a perfect install. They finished the project well before the due date, and the communication throughout was fantastic. Three stars is charitable, and my effort at being fair; their products may (or may not) be great, but their arrogance is quite palpable. I was referred to Galaxy Draperies through Costco. Apparently they are a vendor who receives local referrals from Costco. My wife and I want to change the window coverings in our home, so we were going to get a quote from Galaxy. Unfortunately, they can't seem to make an appointment time with any certainty of arriving on time. When we set the appointment time (1PM on a Friday), we were informed that Galaxy expects a 90 minute commitment from prospective customers. My wife and I are both employed, but can manage to carve out 90 minutes out of our day, and made that commitment. Today, we received a text from Galaxy informing us that the rep would be here BETWEEN 1pm and 2pm. AND they want a 90 minute commitment after the rep arrives. So, in effect, they want up to 2 1/2 hour commitment, so that we can accommodate their schedule. I prefer to do business with companies that are customer-centric. I realize that the sales rep may want to stay at their prior appointment to sell the maximum possible products on behalf of the company, but unlike money, time is something you can never earn back. So, we'll take our chances with companies that may be a few dollars more, but that appreciate and respect the value of clients' time. read more

This company gives the appearance of good service. For starters, the consultant who was assigned to measure for an outdoor awning was an "indoor" specialist. As a result, she measured incorrectly. Bottom line, a new awning had to be made, project was ordered and paid in advance on July 23, 2024. Awning was installed on November 27, 2024. I had to contact Costco Customer Service reps. several times for assistance getting this company to respond to my questions and attempt to expedite delivery of the awning. Jeff was able to give me an estimate on my window shades and helped me choose a fabric that complemented my home and did not compromise the natural light I absolutely adored when purchasing my new home. Terrible, we used galaxy drapery through Costco and it is the worst. Paula the designer who did the home consultation felt deceptive. When choosing the fabric she told us all fabrics were the same price. When we received the quote later that day, one Room was twice as expensive as the other And when we asked why she told us it's because we chose a different fabric! At that point we would have had to book another appointment to review fabric samples again total waste of time. Would obviously be helpful to know price differences on products before we choose one! We custom ordered our shades which took 6 to 8 weeks to prepare. When we received them we found out the designer had ordered us upgraded cassettes covered in fabric which we did not want, the shades came with a different fabric than the one we had selected, and 1 shade we received had a horizontal line going across the middle of it where 2 shades were glued together! Again this is a custom order that took 6 to 8 weeks to prepare and they glued two shades together? We also told the designer we wanted to keep the cassettes that we had in the home and she told us it was impossible we had to order new cassettes Because old ones won't fit. When we got installation The installer told us they ordered the wrong size cassettes and he put on our existing cassettes we wanted to keep. Overall we are highly unsatisfied we will be seeking a resolution from galaxy drapery and will be calling cosco to let them know about our experience. read more

We had roll down shades installed in 2019 on 2 massive living room windows, which worked great without any issues. In 2022 the remotes stopped working. Not a battery issue, the shades just stopped responding to our two remotes. I called Galaxy and Krista tried her best to troubleshoot over the phone with me but we couldn't figure it out. They sent an installer and he not only got the remotes working again but inspected of each unit to make sure everything was working as well as the day it was installed. Carol and David also did a great job making sure we were taken care of and satisfied with the shades. Solid product. Great customer service. I did a review previously but is no longer on yelp. In short my wife and I ordered blinds through Costco and there quality of the work is less than professional. Numerous items were incorrectly measured and the blinds do not rotate open and close as designed. The turn around time is slow and there seems to be a pattern nice talk and no action with this company. We are considering refunding our purchase through Costco and spending our money elsew Today Ray came over with Stephanie to try and fix the issues with the blinds. The brackets are mounted now partially on the trim and partially off the trim. We need to have somebody come back and remeasure for ALL of the blinds. The width of the blinds is too wide for a total of 8 blinds. I need to be very honest we are on the verge of having a return on this transaction which was done through Costco. Honestly it's not worth the time or effort to continue communicating back-and-forth unless it's going to be corrected right away and properly. Hopefully the company will pull through so that I can write a nice review and not just complain. I should also say that all of the employees I have interacted with me have been polite to me. I don't want to be in a-hole. Whatever problem I have is not personal but with the company and the overall way they're doing things so far is unsatisfactory.
