When it came time to make the difficult decision to euthanize my dog, I was unable to proceed with this facility due to the quoted cost of nearly $600. As a result, I had to seek care elsewhere during an already emotional time. In addition, my experiences with the front office have consistently been frustrating. Appointments have been mismanaged on multiple occasions, leading to extended wait times of 30 minutes to over an hour beyond my scheduled time. This level of disorganization reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for clients' time. I was also disappointed to learn--only recently--that I had accumulated over 11,000 reward points that could have been applied toward services. This was never communicated to me, and unfortunately, I became aware of it only after my dog had passed. Lastly, I attempted to address these concerns directly. I emailed the office manager, Justin, on April 21 and followed up with a phone call on April 23 to confirm receipt and request a return call. To date, I have not received a response. I also asked the front desk to CC the owner, Tony, due to the lack of follow-up, but I have still not received any communication. It is disheartening to feel that my long-term loyalty as a client has not been valued

Yesterday we had to make the painful decision to put our dog down, and Dr. Gamez turned a devastating situation into one filled with peace and dignity. From the moment we walked in, he was exceptionally understanding, empathetic, and comforting. He navigated the entire process with a level of kindness and professionalism that truly set us at ease. He provided his expert medical advice with genuine care, ensuring we felt confident and supported in our decision. Even in the midst of our grief, Dr. Gamez was a light of positivity. He treated our dog--and our family--with the utmost respect. If you are looking for a veterinarian who combines expert knowledge with a truly compassionate soul, I cannot recommend Dr. Gamez and this hospital enough. Thank you for making a "hardest day" just a little bit easier.

I spoke to a woman named Bianca and my dog is a regular patient there. I told her the name of my dog and my last name and then she asked me the same question that I just gave her the information for. Then I repeated it. Because obviously she wasn't listening. Then I told her that my dog still has an ear infection in the right ear. Then she asks which ear is it? Is it both ears or the right or the left?...... Seriously? You can't pay attention? You know there's medication for that. ( I didn't tell her that but I mentioning it in this review that if she has some sort of an attention problem then she needs to take care of that so she can do her job whether it's through medication or whatever). If you can't do your job then you need to get a job elsewhere because if you are not able to pay any kind of attention. And unfortunately this is prevalent these days that people don't pay attention. I told her that I already told her which ear. And she became pretty nasty so I asked for the manager. And the manager was pretty nasty as well. Very disrespectful. Listen if you can't handle the stress at your job and you're taking it out on innocent people, maybe you need to get another job. Maybe at a garden center or cherry picking... Maybe cleaning toilets would be more meditative. So I'm never going to take my dog back. These people don't know what they're doing and are rude about it. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Mack our pit/bulldog had a terrible ear infection and was itchy and I thought over weight. So, we tried Modern Animal and so far they are great. I hope it stays that way. I am so tired of looking. I did not know it was a chain, but it is. This one is in Playa Vista and really nice. The staff was great. They were ready for us within minutes of us getting there. Mack, however, enjoyed none of it. He had to have his Du nails clipped and he just refused. They got one and he will go back and I will get him so stoned first, he won't be a bother. The ear infection was found and he has meds for that which are working. His itchy skin is being dealt with, unlike Paws and Palms which just took a guess. He now has the right cream. And sure enough my boy is overweight, so I have him on a strict diet and he would like to give me 0 stars for his feeding. He is a pocket pity, bull dog mix with the short snout and you just can't let them get fat. Modern Medicine seems to know what they are doing and we go back in a couple of weeks, with a high dog in tow. We really loved the staff and the place is spotless. Mack refused to have his photo taken.

Tiptoeing walking on eggshells you name it miss use of Authority and the pet suffers as a result. Highly inhumane. What was once a very optimistic sigh of relief for a very nervous rescue could not be further from that situation at this point only found out after working with her. I already paid once for an after visit follow through for information. She should've followed through naturally on her own with. It's very disheartening to attempt to be reprimanded by your vet because of their unprofessionalism and lack of follow through and for me to be pointed out as difficult. All dialogue post initial visit should have been included in the initial visit or she should've stayed to follow through during that time. By no fault of my own, I continued to follow instructions and continue to believe and take her for her word. She talks over you and doesn't let you finish. She doesn't hear what you're saying or whatever you're saying she hears it incorrectly and lashes out at you. Very disappointed. I was very hopeful and very happy at one point. There are many other mobile vets in Los Angeles. Keep looking elsewhere. I'm a very compassionate, patient and kind and absolutely generous client. There is no reason for this behavior from any "professional."

As a first time dog owner, finding the right veterinarian felt like a big decision, and Palms & Paws immediately stood out from the moment we walked through the door. During our first visit, they took the time to give us a tour of the facility and explain how everything works. I especially appreciated that they have separate areas for pets that may be sick or contagious and for pets coming in for routine checkups and vaccinations. That attention to detail gave me confidence right away. As a new dog owner, I had plenty of questions during Archie's puppy years, and the team never made me feel like any question was too small. Every interaction has been positive. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. The front desk team is outstanding they never make you feel rushed, always take the time to answer questions, and have been incredibly helpful when it comes to navigating pet insurance. They can even submit claims on your behalf, which makes the process much easier. One thing that has consistently impressed me is the follow up care. I've received phone calls after appointments just to check on how Archie was doing, which speaks volumes about how much they care about their patients. I also appreciate the transparency. Before any procedure, test, or treatment is performed, the team takes the time to review the estimated costs and available options with you. I've always had a clear understanding of what to expect financially before moving forward, and I've never experienced surprise charges or sticker shock at checkout. That level of communication and honesty is something I truly value. Dr. K is fantastic. She takes the time to explain all available options, clearly outlines the pros and cons of each, and helps you make an informed decision without ever making you feel pressured. I always leave feeling confident that I've been given honest, thoughtful guidance tailored to Archie's needs. The pricing has always felt fair and reasonable, and even small touches like the complimentary water, snacks, and mini fridge in the waiting area make visits a little more comfortable. After nearly three years of bringing Archie here, I can confidently say that Palms & Paws has earned my trust. Whether it's a routine vaccine appointment or an unexpected health concern, I've always felt that Archie was treated like family. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic that combines excellent medical care, transparent communication, and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Palms & Paws.

I decided I would give them one more chance doing something I thought they could handle. My first rating of 3 was a gift. It means satisfactory. It was truthful and clear. This time we called and they said they could handle the issue, so we called today to make an appointment and they will not see us--I guess they don't like the truth. Now they have ever right to not like a review and instead of responding to it, to just try to erase that person, but that is rude and not wise. And they were so rude on the phone. We were shocked. They could have been decent and nicely said we did not care for your 3 stars on Yelp so we think it best not to see you. We would have said thank you and been on our way. So, they have no need to worry. We will never call them again, because I don't enjoy rude customer service and I really don't enjoy sure make an appointment and we call to do just that and someone answers who has no manners and is rude. Really bad business practice.
