I'm so happy that I'm now at my new FOREVER home!

I'm sorry that some others have had problems. PPR posted "Cindy's" photo and write up last night. I called/left a message and emailed Nancy expressing my interest at 7:30 am and emailed the application and agreement at 8:30. At 8:33, Renee called me and made an appointment that day at 3:00 pm. They share a parking lot with a vet hospital and a groomer and it is BUSY! They had a hidden away area where we we able to hold "Cindy" who had lived the last 2 years outside of her owner's home. We loved her, no matter how nervous she was. We completed the paperwork and took her home. She was cautious when we got her home but within a couple of hours she had eaten and was napping in her new bed! Thanks PPR!

I'm more than happy to echo the chorus of praises for this wonderful organization. After my beloved Pomeranian, Mr. Tucker passed away, I wanted to find another Pom Pom and found a picture and description online through Perfect Pet Rescue. I drove from Moorpark to Santa Monica to see the adorable pooch and I was floored by everything. The organization in general, the caretakers as well as the dogs. Everything was extremely professional, quick, open and perfect. I loved the fact that they truly put the dogs' welfare ahead of everything else. I even got to meet my new dog's foster mom and she was extremely forthcoming and honest about his behavior, training and personality. She was right on the money and I appreciate this level of personal service. Ultimately I ended up taking Donner (now Kirby) home and he is simply the sweetest and best dog ever. He goes motorcycle riding with me, camping, on road trips and we're a nearly inseparable team. Thank you Perfect Pet for your hard work, saving great dogs (aren't they all great?) and matching them up with the responsible owners who love them. If I could give them 20 stars, I would...

    My sweet Korra

PPR is amazing! Terry was great and extremely helpful with helping me to find my perfect match. I had been looking forever and right when I was about to give up I came across my sweet Korra. Terry was responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and set up a meet and greet within the same week. It's been about a month with my fur baby and I couldn't be happier!

We got our dog from Perfect Pet Rescue 5 years ago (almost to the day). Everyone who meets Bobo (formerly Coral) is appalled when we tell them she's from a rescue. She is cute enough to be a designer dog that costs thousands of dollars. Thanks Perfect Pet Rescue for making the process of adopting a dog easy, and thank you for introducing us to our favorite family member. Our dog came well socialized and friendly - she is definitely the perfect pet.

Lebowski is the perfect dog he sleeps with us in our bed

Thank you Perfect Pet Rescue! I get treated like a prince:)

My second experience was terrible. After my puppy was killed while with me on leash by a reckless driver, I later returned to L&L to look for a new baby. Different set of employees, and both my nephew and I were shocked that one of them seemed to blame me for my puppy being killed. He was rude, insensitive to the circumstance, and he did all he could to throw up roadblocks to helping me. He was an expressionless jerk who had zero empathy or professionalism. I contacted the manager about this, and though she three times promised to call me back, she never did. This is heartless behavior for a place that is supposed to be doing good. I will never go back to that place again. The only reason this is not a 1-star review is because my first experience with them was good. That appears to have been an anomaly. I adopted a pup from Best Friends West LA, which I cannot recommend enough.

We've had him since he was a puppy - his mom was rescued by Lange and was pregnant. Last week, we adopted 3 year old Tobey (black terrier). The application process was completely easy. The staff reached out right away for a meet and greet. They were super accommodating when I wanted to come in a day early. They answered all the questions we had regarding Tobey and let us know of any treatments he's currently in. After the meet and greet, we knew that we wanted to bring Tobey home. Sure enough, we came back the next day with Tobey. Bruno and Tobey are still getting used to each other, but I'd say that Tobey feels right at home. If we were to adopt another dog, this is the first place we'll go to.

We went and met Nes and Duke along with the trainer OJ. My wife and I were able to control and walk Duke with no problem. But they wouldn't allow me to adopt him because they say that my back yard has no shade, and that the gate is not secure enough. Actually the back yard has shade for about 1/2 the day once the sun if to the east, but the home inspector came by at 10:00 AM, so not much shade then. However, Duke would primarily be an indoor dog, and less than a block away is a park with all the grass and shade a dog could want. The back yard would be only for a potty area, and leg stretching area between walks. I have had my son in laws 3 Husky dogs back there and not once have they opened the gate, or broken through it, and they outweigh duke by about 2 to 1. Was I given a chance to address their concerns? Nope. That is why I am giving them 2 stars. If they have concerns, Let me address them, or at least call me and ask me about them, and then they can decide if we would be a suitable dog parents or not. Personally, I don't think that they took to my wife and me, and were looking for any reason not to let us adopt duke. (this is only my belief, and I have no proof one way or another.) And one more thing that I wasn't a fan of. The training. The trainer wants complete obedience from the dog. He thought that I was giving Duke too much affection for not doing anything. Who does that? If you love your dog, you give him affection for no other reason than he is a dog, and you want to make him feel loved. We don't just parcel out affection for only the times they do a behavior that we want from them. Overall, I am soured on rescues in general, and I will be only looking at animal shelters from this point forward. Good luck to anyone adopting from this rescue, but be prepared that they will say no without giving you a chance to explain or fix any issues.
