Just picked up some artwork I had reframed to update the frame. It looks great and is exactly what I wanted. They completed the work in the time I was quoted and called me when I was ready. Since it was a custom size, it was a little pricey, but I like to support local small businesses and think the price was inline with what the craft store who always offers half price custom framing would have charged. While I was there, I spied a few items that would make excellent christmas gifts - all made by local artists. read more

Was super impressed by the variety and I feel like this place is perfect for a special gift or keepsake! This place is a gem! Stumbled upon this place because we had coffee next-door. The owner greeted us with a smile and told us that all of the stuff in the store is made by local artists. Everything in the store was high-quality and pleasing to the eye. There's frames for pictures, and assortment of handmade jewelry, handmade Bath and body items, also dog collars. I live in Pacific Beach and although walk by here often have never been inside. That was until I graduated and needed to get my doctoral diploma framed. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me out immensely when selecting a custom frame for my diploma. They also had a much larger selection of frames than I would have expected. The finished product turned out great, and was finished extremely quickly. Not only was the framing top-notch, but this place actually had a lot of really cool jewelry, coffee mugs, and other neat stuff made by other local artists. I ended up walking out with a pair of earrings for my wife..... that she loves, and now I go back quite often to buy her jewelry, as there selection is so unique. Gallery's is an exceptional local business here in PB. They sell and display a variety of different peices of art created by local artists, including art created by Thayne, the owner (who is super nice, by the way). In addition, they sell one-of-a-kind candles, coasters, jewelry, cards towels, and more - generally made by San Diego or California companies. I'm always buying people's birthday and Christmas gifts here, because they have so many unique items. The prices may seem high, but these are quality items, I assure you! My husband and I live on the same block as this store and we always bring guests in town to this quaint little shop. Everyone loves it and we love supporting this great little shop! read more

I needed to frame a diploma, so I stopped in here recently. I was helped out by a friendly older woman who helped me pick a frame. I liked working with her since I could tell she wan't trying to sell me on anything and just wanted to make sure I was happy. When I picked up the diploma, there was a little piece of something inside the glass - almost not worth fixing - but she cheerfully offered to take the glass off to remove it, and it was ready later that day. I'm not a frame expert, but it looks really nice. I had considered going to a bigger framing shop, but this one just has a better, more personal vibe. The rest of the shop is comfortable and nicely decorated - has a more intimate feel than a normal framing store. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to support a small, local business. read more

Gallery at Land's End is more of a framing shop than a gallery. Its selection pales in comparison to a lot of the galleries in La Jolla, but this gallery specializes in custom framing. Of course buying a frame is a lot cheaper, but if you have a fancy shmancy piece of art work then by all means take advantage of their professional framing services. It will cost at least $70, but prices range. When I visited the shop there was a little old lady working who was very cute and friendly and really into to what she does. That is always a nice thing to see. read more

I stopped in yesterday with an urgent need to have a stained glass panel framed for an event later that night and Thayne was able to get the job done without any problems. I can't even describe how much this saved the day for me. The pricing was great even though it was a rush job and he had never worked with me before. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. This place is just so beyond perfect. It's my go to spot for a gift! They only sell local San Diego everything from cards to coffee mugs to jewelry. I wanted to get a mat recut for new larger photo print. I had a Michael's frame and mat. I was recommended to Gallery at Land's End by Social PB FB group. Wow. What a job they did. At first I just wanted the mat cut but I realized from past experience it's kind of a pain to get the pic into the frame right, centered properly and dust free. Thane advised me on how the print should be positioned. I finally said please go ahead & do it for me. I like the print so much as it was from a Bali trip- I even have that 1 as my laptop screensaver so I wanted it to be right. They really gave it the full gallery treatment with the back sealed up and put a wire on it. Just fabulous. They even gave me a hook to hang it with! Yes it was pricey but well worth the cost. I will be bringing future work their way in the future. read more

I had a custom mirror made for me at Gallery at Land's End and I have to say I am very impressed! The owner was extremely helpful and patient when it came to making my selection and I am more than satisfied. There is also a great selection of hand made earrings available from Noon Designs. After I made my choice on the frame for my mirror, I purchased two sets of the earrings as well! I will definitely be back to the Gallery at Land's End the next time I need something framed or if I am looking for a unique gift. read more

The Gallery at Land's End is a hidden gem in Pacific Beach. After my first visit to get a newpaper article framed I was hooked. I never realized the art of custom framing until I arrived here. Since my first experience I have returned with my wedding photos, my wedding invitation, old artwork, certificates, to buy Noon jewelry/cards, and premade frames for everyday pictures. As a great tip the shop owner let me put the Gallery on my wedding website so I could receive a gift card to frame wedding photos. This is definitely worth your time and money, they have a wonderful selection and really care about their work. read more

I was warmly greeted by the owner, even though I walked in at closing time. He understood my needs; he showed me his interpretation within moments and delivered a beautiful product in less time than I had anticipated. My friend at work recommended Gallery At Lands End for a framing project I needed to take care of. I've been a local to this neighborhood for years, so was happy to realize there was a hidden gem right down the block. I'm so glad I visited this warm, friendly, really neat shop. I had one large photograph to be framed and one print that has been in our family for a few years. Since I am creating a gallery wall I needed frames that would coordinate but not be "matchy". I worked with the former owner in picking out the frames and matting materials and never felt pressured. She offered some great tips to help me envision the final project and was great to work with. I picked up the two items last week and am thrilled. The cost was higher than I had originally anticipated, but quality of work is superb and they will look fantastic on our entryway wall for years, so worth it! Great work. We have had some "keepsakes pictures and prints " that the owner has done a remarkable job listening to our wants and then offering some suggestions to even make them better. I have been to this frame shop several times to get different pieces of art and some photos framed and each time I have had a positive experience. The owner is a young guy who is pleasant to work with and gets the job done in a timely manner. Getting art work framed is an expensive thing to do. His prices seem pretty darn reasonable to me so between the service and price, I would recommend. read more

I am OVER THE MOON with the fast, friendly, quality service that Vicki and Thane offered when I came into the shop in a panic on Sat 7/19. I am an artist and had only 1 week to get my painting custom-framed for inclusion in the Athenaeum's 23rd Annual Juried Exhibition in La Jolla (a huge honor for me - I was a nervous wreck!). Vicki put me right at ease and came up with the perfect frame material. Thane had the frame ready on Thurs morning 7/24 (the shop is closed Sun & Mon!).
