Galley has gained fans since opening with reviews complimenting the food, space and service. I agree, in part. Space: Not fancy but well laid out. No loud music when I was there. Service: I'd give 6 stars for service if I could. Food: Here's the problem. The two items I ordered that claimed to be sweet and savory were way too sweet. The Korean Fried Chicken and the spaghetti kee mao both suffered from sugar overdose. I also am not a fan of using spaghetti pasta in place of traditional noodles, although if it wasn't too sweet I probably wouldn't mind the swap. Other menu items that don't use sweet/savory sauce are probably fine. Galley offers alcohol: beer, wine and cocktails. That isn't obvious from online information. All in all, OK but if you prefer savory over sweet, not so good. read more

There's a new Thai restaurant on the East side of town and it's absolutely delicious! The Galley bills itself as Asian Fusion cuisine but the menu seems to be all Thai food. The owners are no strangers to great Thai cuisine. Having put in their time at Dear Mom as employees, the owners ventured out to this side of town to plant their own flag. From what I can see (and taste) so far, they're doing a great job. The service is great and the staff is warm and friendly in the true Thai spirit. My wife had the Yum Woon Sen which is a glass noodle dish served with fresh veggies and your choice of protein over a fish sauce. Served cold, it was light and refreshing. I had the Spaghetti-Kee-Mao, a modern twist to the classic Pad Kee Mao dish served in many Thai restaurants. We also had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Everything was a hit with our taste buds. The portions were on the smaller side, but I'm sure it's because we ate there for lunch. Come check it out for yourself! I know you'll like it. read more

A friend and I had dinner the Galley restaurant before a recent Central Oregon Symphony concert. The friendly staff welcomed us to a great, new neighborhood restaurant on Bend's eastside. We shared crab fried rice and a tureen of Tom Kha soup. Both dishes were excellent. The service was quick and efficient, and the wait staff checked several times to be sure everything was ok - which it was. It is great to have a fine restaurant like Galley within walking distance. read more

Be prepared to wait! They just officially opened this week and this place was packed! Had to wait about 10-15 mins for a table. There is no waiting area seats, which I think they need. Staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and would definitely come back to try more dishes. Just be pared to wait or some for lunch time for less wait! The MOST authentic Thai/asian cuisine! We shared tom kha ?sp soup with tofu and massaman beef curry. Big portions. Kefir lime, lemon grass with bold bright flavors. Cute decor. Excellent service. Fabulous Thai inspired cocktail menu, too. Must try in SE Bend. read more

Great spot in Bend. The beef drunken noodles were the standout- tender beef, perfect noodles, and just the right amount of heat. They also have great lunch specials and a solid Thai iced tea. So glad to have a restaurant like this join the East Side of town! We ordered the Paratha with Curry sauce, so good. I highly recommend adding a extra Paratha Pancake to the order as you will want to keep going. The Thai Basil Fried Rice was delicious. Four friends went to the Galley for lunch. We were greeted warmly by the owner. Each of us ordered something different and it was hard to say what we liked the best as the food was so good. My favorite was the crispy green papaya salad. Another friend was wowed over the soup. Rich and delicious. The cafe itself was an airline theme which was warm and inviting. Food was delicious, owners were so sweet and friendly! They have worked at Dear Mom for some years and are bringing that experience and hospitality to the east side. We ordered the drunken noodle - it was delicious - pan char flavor I love, with slight heat, with a chewy noodle. Loved this dish so much. I enjoyed the calamari, and massaman curry as well - all the food was full of flavor. The space is comfy and cozy, travel inspired decor in decals and neon - an homage to the owners days working as flight attendants years past! They have a mostly Thai menu with some other Asian dishes (Korean fried chicken and roti prathta that I'm regretting not ordering to name a couple!) also inspired from years traveling en flight. 12/10 would go again and try everything on the menu. read more

Just returned and I'll be back a lot! Have heard great reviews and my experience was on par. Excellent, friendly service. Beautiful, colorful tasty food and a lot of it. Nice decor, very clean front of house and bathrooms. This is a tenured group of restaurant industry colleagues who obviously know what they're doing having talked with them a bit!! Went for lunch but they said they've had busy dinners there lately too and do reservations. Cocktail and mocktail menu available and had freshly made spring roll appetizer as well. Hope people continue to find this new place on NE side in the old Longboard Louie location by Pilot Butte. There are a lot of mediocre restaurants in Bend, and this isn't one!.. coming from someone who has dined in major cities a fair amount. Very fairly priced for the quantity and quality. Unfortunately we ordered and waited over an hour and 15 mins and never even received our appetizer. We had tickets to a see a friend performing in play so we had to leave without eating. I hope to return when they have the service dialed in. It seemed like there was only one person cooking... I think more employees would help a lot. read more

The Korean fried chicken and kimchi was my favorite thing. I ordered takeout at the restaurant and I only waited 15 minutes. That is quite quick. It was busy on New Year's Day. The physical restaurant looks great. It's open and clean. We have enough food for at least tomorrow. I ordered massaman curry, Thai basil fried rice with chicken, coconut shrimp and veggie spring rolls. All of it was wonderful. I think I have found my new favorite place. Honestly I will be there again soon. They have a interesting drinks menu too. I really felt seen and I don't always anymore as a old person. Thanks for that Kris! read more

I'm excited to have another amazing restaurant/take out option on the east side! I stopped in to order takeout and was welcomed by super friendly and helpful staff. I ordered the Korean chicken and Pad Preaw Wan. The wings were, hands down, the best wings I've had...ever! Crispy, fall off the bone, and super delicious flavoring.
