    Tofu pad thai
    Sheri B.

SERVICE - 5 stars: warm welcoming attentive. PAD THAI - 4 stars: thin noodles and tofu perfect texture, sauce sweet and savory balance was good just a tinge on the sweet side, enjoyable sesame undertones, fresh lime and veggie garnish would have made it a 5. AMBIANCE- 3.80 stars: floor to ceiling for windows make it nice and bright, sitting on a downtown corner makes for good ppl watching. Dated interior which comes natural to being established...could use some sprucing up but if getting takeout out or not on a first date of no issue.

My boyfriend and I love going to Toomie's for a date. Our favorite soup is the Tom Kah. No other Thai place comes close to the flavor of their Tom Kah. The Ma kur eggplant dish is phenomenal. I've had it many times and the eggplant is always perfect, never bitter. The service at Toomie's is consistently pleasant. We've been going to Toomie's for almost 4 years and we go at least every other week, if not weekly. Definitely one of the best downtown restaurants.

Beautiful atmosphere with great street view. Very attentive and friendly service throughout our dining experience. Authentic Thai dishes with fresh ingredients and great flavor. We would order the exact same entrées, and definitely try everything else! Many regulars came in and the waitress knew all of them by name .

My gf was craving Thai and found this on Google (where i would've looked on Yelp lol). I was really surprised to see only 3.5 stars for this place. The other thai spots in the area had a different fusion taste which i wasn't quite a fan of. If im craving Thai, it's traditional Thai food. Anyway, when we got here, it didn't seem too busy at first for dining in but there were a handful of customers waiting for to go orders. We noticed almost immediately they didn't have quite a full staff so we braced ourselves for slow mediocre service. The lady up front who was hosting, was also serving, and running the to go orders. She was serving Probably about 6 tables including us and we were pretty impressed with not only the flavorful food, but we also didn't have any issues with the service. She was as quick, attentive, and if she was stressed... she didn't show it! When i see a restaurant that seems to be a little short staffed and doing their very best, it's a cherry on top to still feel like we received great service and left satisfied with full bellies. It's refreshing to see businesses up and running again. This will be our to go to spot for thai food when we're back in Bend!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend Toomies a Bend staple.

So good! Every appetizer and entree was awesome. Very fresh! Great fast service. We had crab wontons, calamari, fresh spring rolls, pad se ew and the combo fried rice was AMAZING

Chicken in my tofu pad Thai

I always love Toomies like always, I never don't. But today it was awful. I know that it gets hard for the waitress because it's just her. But our food came out late as in it took forever and cold. We ordered drinks and appetizers and it took half an hour to get them with the ice in the glasses already melted. And the spring rolls and potstickers (our appetizers) were cold. And finding chicken in my tofu pad Thai isn't a big deal to me because I just picked it out, but to someone else it could be.

Drunken noodles, green eggplant curry, and yellow tofu curry.

I felt really safe eating during the pandemic at the restaurant. They were very clean and made sure that the tables were set apart. The food was yummy but high in sodium for my palette. Definitely recommend getting the drunken noodles. If you're vegan, order yourself the green or yellow curry with soft tofu. Get Thai tea with coconut cream too. Good price.

I almost took off a star because they were really busy with take out orders so service was kind of slow but the food was so good and I think this place is super underrated so I still want to give 5 stars. Staff was super nice and accommodating of us and dietary restrictions we had in our party. It's walkable to everywhere else downtown. The food was incredible and they seated us right when we arrived at 7pm on a Friday. I particularly liked the crispy tofu appetizer and I am really not a tofu person, but it was delicious with the 2 sauces. When I'm back in bend I will definitely be back here! So delicious.

I knew I wanted to try the Khao Soi because I have heard of it but never found this dish until now. I ordered it with Tofu, as well as Thai tea with coconut milk. The meal came out very quickly within 5 minutes I was shocked! Wow this dish was amazing. I loved every component of this dish. The curry was perfectly seasoned and spicy. The tofu was crispy. Just so delicious! The Thai tea was good and perfectly sweet. Although for $6 you don't get much drink. Overall this place is a must try! I loved the seating and decor inside too, such good vibes.

It is on the pricey side; $23 for my khao soi curry noodles, but the serving was massive, at least 5 measuring cups worth of curry/noodles, it gave us both a meal to take home! Warning; the curry leaves a very spicy after taste! No complaints from me, cleared my sinuses! Only complaint is the Thai tea, it's expensive for only a few sips worth, more than half of the cup is whip cream, and the whole cup is barely 8 oz. The restaraunt has really nice colors/ambiance, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

You counter order/pay and then are assigned a table (very helpful when you are a party of 6). Later on, we even saw people getting delivered their drinks while waiting in line). This Asian inspired fast causal place did not disappoint in flavors or food (and with very reasonable prices to boot). We loved the esquites (traditionally Mexican style street corn) with fish sauce - so so good. The strawberry & crispy rice salad and Thai beef salads were both bright, fresh, and tasty. The dan dan noodles, lomo saltado, and curries were all great as well. As an extra icing on top - the drinks (especially the $3 nonalcoholic shrub and homemade sodas) were great as well. We loved this place.

Needs one guy serving drinks and answering questions about the menu, and one person taking orders. The food was Chinese fusion with Mexican influences and we got mala noodles, 1 shrimp taco, and fried chicken. I'm Chinese and my husband is Mexican, so in theory this place would be right up our alley. However the shrimp taco's tortilla was not made fresh which is is the whole point of the taco (the salsa and the tortilla). The chicken was decent but not spectacular. The mala noodle was good on flavor (kudos for keeping the "ma" part intact) and probably the best part of the meal, but the rice noodle needs to be cooked 1-2 minutes less.

Bai Tong on Wheels - DoorDash Delivery - Bend, Oregon…read more The food was delivered lightning fast, only 16 minutes from DoorDash order confirmation to tasty food at my door. The packaging was neat and secure, with no messy curry spills. This was my first time ordering from Bai Tong on Wheels, and when I unpacked everything I was a little underwhelmed by the portion size of the red curry. But once I plated it with rice, the bowl looked mostly full. It was warm, smelled great, and once I started eating, my impression kept improving. The curry was rich and creamy with just a touch of heat, the chicken was flavorful, and the rice was perfectly cooked. I also ordered a small side of shrimp, which turned out to be very good. Tender and tasty comes to mind, and at $5, it may be the best deal in town. **Cost:** Red Curry: $15.95 Jasmine Rice: $3.00 Shrimp Side: $5.00 Subtotal: $23.95 Express Fee: $2.99 Delivery Tip: $6.00 **Total: $34.14** By the end, this turned out to be one of the best (maybe *the* best) delivery meals I've had since moving to Bend. Bai Tong on Wheels is definitely in the win column.
