They serve various size of lobsters as well as cook them for you. However they do not provide place to eat or utensils so they function more as a market than a restaurant. They have sort of a parking lot where you can park. There are few works on the back hanging around and 2 younger staff that take care of orders. Lobster has quite few size options and some explanations for terms they use. We weren't sure what to get but figure we wanted larger size lobsters. SLX which is the largest ones were $14 per pound. They can also let you pick them live as well but we chose 2 lb ones. They charge $1.5 to boil but it's a-lot of work to boil properly so it's worth it. We waited about 20-25minutes or so and they also chilled it so that we can take it home to eat. Luckily we had ice box with some ice packs so it kept the lobster fresh until getting home. Once we got home we opened the bag to eat the lobster. It's a huge lobster with large claws. We got a large bowl and separate plate to eat. It was a massive task to crack the claws as one of the claw was huge and very tough. We ended up using a hammer and dull knife to crack them open. The meat was tender and sweet. One of the best maine lobster we had. Overall the place provides fresh maine lobster for good price. Only issue is that they don't serve it so you will need to plan to take it home and have tools to crack them open. They also only take cash. If i were to come back i would give them a call a head of time to have the lobster prepared to go and pick them up which seems to be what other people were doing.

Probably some of the best lobster I've ever had. We placed a big order for friends and family…read moregetting together in Maine for dinner. The lobster was salty and sweet at the same time and perfectly cooked. We had lobster a few other times in Maine this trip, and honestly none compared to the lobster from Off the Boat!

Every time I go to Maine I have to stop in there, but only go up 2x a year, so thank goodness they ship!! I love the unique flavors they have, Blue cheese and honey, cashew turtle, cinnamon roll that has white chocolate in it, jalapeno cheddar, and some new flavors like ebony and ivory, pretzel and ale, Rattlesnake bike and flaming hot. If near York Maine you must try their popcorn!

Parking options all around, may need to look a bit and or pay for parking. We didn't have issues the two times. We did pay each time we parked because we were in town for 3+ hours. The shop is simple - no frills just shelves of delicious popcorn. Everything is neat and organized. They have many options from plain buttered to different savory options and many sweet options and sweet and savory in one! There were some with chocolate, some with nuts...simply amazing. The funny thing, my favorites are not on their favorites list :) My favorites: Midwest Munch Maple Butter Boon with Almonds Wicked Good White Cheddar Cha Cha Cheddar Packaging is great - keeps it fresh even a week after opening. I can't wait to go back and buy more before they close for the season. They take cash and credit I cannot emphasize this enough...the quality of the actual popcorn and the pop is near perfect! I have not experienced a single seed out of the 7 bags I have purchased. So good!!

The company was initially started as a homemade products stall at a local farmers market. Working from a small folding table and calling themselves "Stonewall Kitchen", the stall was successful, selling all stock. The business eventually began producing vinegars, oils, pesto, jams and baked goods. The operation then branched out into selling wholesale, and by 1993 they were approached by Crate & Barrel to produce 2,500 jars of Orange Cranberry Marmalade. To increase production capacity, Stonewall Kitchen purchased and renovated an 18th-century barn in Kittery, Maine. By 2000, they moved to a larger property in nearby York. A visitors area was added to this facility in 2003. As of 2022, Stonewall Kitchen is now owned by TA Associates. The brand is now available in 42 countries and the York facility receives over 500,000 visitors annually. My extended family and I visited the Stonewall Kitchen Company Store & Café this past summer while we were vacationing in York. The location is just gorgeous and features every Stonewall Kitchen product imaginable in the store. We loaded up on quite a few of our favorite products and even discovered some new ones; lots of free samples too! We also decided to stay for lunch in the café, which features delicious menu items made with Stonewall Kitchen products. I ordered the "Lobster Mac & Cheese" (Montebello organic torchiette pasta, fresh local lobster meat, mascarpone, fontina, asiago, cheddar, served w/ mixed greens & classic Italian dressing), my wife had the "Lobster BLT" (fresh local lobster meat, cherrywood-smoked bacon, celery, green leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, housemade basil mayonnaise, buttered brioche, served w/ dill pickle spear & housemade Maine potato chips), our older son had the "Turkey Club" (sliced roasted turkey breast, cherrywood-smoked bacon, garlic herb cheese spread, cucumbers, green leaf lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, red pepper jelly, sliced sourdough bread), and our younger son had the "Mac & Cheese" (Montebello organic torchiette pasta, mascarpone, fontina, asiago, cheddar). Not surprisingly, everything was superb! We had a memorable experience at the Stonewall Kitchen Company Store and we hope to return in the future!
