We were passing through the area and felt like a good sandwich. Searched Yelp...boom...this came…read moreup. When we pulled up, we weren't sure what to expect. Pretty underwhelming looking building with a lot of cars all parked poorly...even though there was plenty of parking spaces. My guess is they were excited and/or in a rush for a delicious sandwich? Yes...that's probably it!! There were about 6 people inside waiting for their orders and probably another 6 sitting and eating. Thankfully there were a couple of open seats for us. Since we don't eat in our car. While we waited for our sandwiches, we watched the staff and customers. Many seemed to be regulars from the area, as they knew exactly what they wanted and how they wanted their sandwich. We did not..LOL we stared at the lunch board for a bit an decided to go with a couple of the special named sandwiches. The staff was pretty quiet, heads down, working fast with an immense amount of focus. I chose the Honey Bee sandwich - it was soooo good. The honey mustard was a great twist. The sandwich was also beautifully made. Ingredients carefully stacked - just the right amount of honey mustard. The pleasant surprise....the zesty pita chips...sooooo addictive! We hope to be back in this area again soon to try their sandwiches. Again, the inside is very small - get it to go if you aren't able to find a seat. It's worth getting it to go, rather than not getting a sandwich and pita chips.

Sold sandwich! Great spot! The gentleman walked our subs over to our seat, very kind!read more

This place is absurdly consistent. The portions are always generous, the quality is never caught lacking, and the dining room is spotless in that reassuring someone actually cares way. The staff (and it's always the same people that are there, which is cool in itself that there's no noticeable turnover in the staff) is friendly without being fake about it... efficient, pleasant, and clearly proud of what they're serving from fryers behind the soda fountains. Let's talk food, because wow. That's why you're reading this. The fried shrimp are so good that my wife (who does not like seafood) actively loves them. That alone should be printed on the menu. I've only known her to eat fried shrimp when the breading weighs more than the shrimp itself (which is not the case here). The tartar sauce is the best in North America. It's my crack. If I drank it through a straw (a bit too thick), that straw would be called a crack pipe. I literally smile writing about this tartar sauce. I will not be taking questions at this time. The "regular" fries are exactly what fries should be: crisp, fluffy, salty perfection. And the onion rings? Peak "fried seafood place" onion rings... golden, crunchy, and unapologetically doing their job, not tempura style, but old school Weathervane "fried seafood style" onion rings that you can sub in instead of fries on plates/boats for a small upcharge. Even the bathrooms are clean, which sounds like a throwaway detail until you realize how rare that is and how much it says about the place. We love it so much that we'll happily drive 40 minutes each way to eat there - in winter - because that's what you do when a place never lets you down. And despite the sign saying Al's Seafood, we tell everyone it's called "Big Al's Seafood" Not because that's the name, but because that's the energy this place has... It's not trendy. It's not trying to reinvent anything. It's just awesome, every single time and honestly, that's harder to pull off than any gimmick. Signing off... keep it up, Big Al.

You wouldn't think it by the name, but Martha's is a Lebanese restaurant with a great menu that won't overwhelm you. The owner and his staff are extremely friendly and overall just wonderful people. I went crazy and ordered the Steak Shawerma, 3 piece Falafel, baba ghanouj and hummus. The steak shawerma came with rice pilaf and a garden salad and was so good that I'll be going back to try their chicken one. The falafel was perfect. It wasn't oily and had just the right amount of flavoring and crunch. The baba ghanouj and hummus were to die for. I seriously had to keep myself from eating the entirety of the containers. They are currently remodeling the dining area so I can't comment on the ambience, but for what it's worth I like the quaint look of the place from the outside and the ease of ordering from the window. I'm a stickler when it comes to Lebanese food, but I'm so happy to finally find a Lebanese restaurant so close to me that it has officially become my go-to place for Lebanese food from here on out! I highly recommend Martha's as your next place to eat!
