Heard this place was popping so of course I had to come. My friend said there's always a really long line but on a weekday, the line was fairly short so we decided to stop by! The space inside is pretty small - a small room with a register and a pastry display case. We ordered a cold brew, strawberry matcha, banana creme latte, a strawberry concha, a matcha concha, and a breakfast sando. We went to the outdoor space on the side to wait for our order. My friend liked his cold brew and my other friend said the banana creme latte was super good. Unfortunately the strawberry matcha was a hard miss for me. It didn't taste like matcha, just strawberry milk. The conchas were also extremely dry. But the breakfast sando was good! It was also hard to hear if your order is done unless you're hanging out by the window.

First time here. Went out for Brunch with dear friends. Sitting area were limited, some seating area were along the sidewalk . There were few more seating areas along the side. From the time we got there till time we left, the line was pretty long. Service was fast once order have been placed . Went back for the second time today. Been craving for that mushroom toast again. Portions / ingredients on all orders are pretty much consistent. The open face toasts are "full", can't see the bread unless you pick up what's on top of the bread ( which is a good thing). Service with a smile. Parking, for both times I visited the place, were challenging. Place is across KFC. Residential area / apartment areas. Be prepared to look for street parking. Some free. But along 3rd ave, are all metered parking . Price point, 3 sandwiches plus 2 drinks cost us about $55.00. There is a bathroom available for customers.

We went to visit family and stumbled across this cafe. We came before a long line formed and it seemed to be a good spot to go to! The outdoor patio area was so lively and it was kept so clean. I got a cafe de olla latte and my bf got a banana latte. The line moved fast and everything on the menu sounded great! I don't like a sugar-forward drink and I felt like the flavor of my latte was what I liked! My bf said the banana latte was good too, not too sweet but he would like the banana to be the show stopper for the flavors but that may be a personal preference! I forgot what type of pastry we got, wish we had more time to try the breakfast! It all looks great especially the sandwiches.

I ordered a decaf banana crème latte with oat milk and it was exceptional. The drink was creamy, the banana flavor was robust but not overpowering with a subtle banana flavor that was unique for a coffee drink. The outdoor seating patio is quaint with plenty of small tables to sip and chat. We definitely will be back to try their other drinks!

Came here because my neighbor recommended it, it did not disappoint. I got the banana matcha and it was really good, not too sweet which I appreciated. My friends both got coffee and they said they were really good. I got the mushroom toast, it was so delicious. It had a slight kick to it and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. My friend said her egg dish was also really good. The staff here is friendly and efficient which is really appreciated. The locale itself is so cute and super relaxing. It feels like you are at a friend's yard enjoying your cafesito. I will 100% be returning and will try a new matcha flavor. If you want a nice time out, this is the place for you!

10/10!!! I understand the hype now! I wish I would have made it out earlier ! I am obsessed with the banana latte 20/10, as well as the Reuben sandwich with no Sauerkraut. The times I've visited I try to visit early and the wait for the line is on average 15 minutes . I also love their conchas! There's plenty of small tables and the vibe is relaxing! Highly recommend! The only thing is parking , street parking with meters.

I would say 2.5 stars just because the breakfast sandwich carried, the chorizo aioli made this soo yummy. The croissant itself was flakey and buttery. Horchata matcha w/ banana foam. I was so excited to try this place, but matcha is nonexistent omg. It's surprising because the color is there.. horchata 12/10 it just overpowered the banana so I couldn't find it. The banana foam is amazing though - thick and cloudy! Banana matcha. It just taste like water with banana syrup Outside seating, inside is very tiny like 1 party per entry tiny

I've been on a search for really, really good banana coffee. I want a strong cup of coffee with the banana flavor in each sip, not just in the cold foam. I think i finally found it at Galu. I've only been here twice but tried their banana coffee, both hot and iced, each time. I've also had the chance to enjoy their avocado toast, mushroom toast and banana toast. They were all delicious, very hearty, and perfectly assembled. The storefront is small, only allowing a few customers in at a time, which is totally fine. They also have a cute covered patio for guests to enjoy their beverages or meals, while people-watching. I'm glad this cafe isn't too out of the way for me. I just hope their banana coffee isn't a seasonal drink.

Heard about this place after watching a video of them getting broken into. Idk, some people think it's staged. Anyways, after waiting a while to order we were able to get our drinks. Both the coconut cloud matcha and the strawberry matcha were tasty. I can see why this cafe is always busy. The drinks looked and tasted premium. Thanks Galu!

I started coming here when they first opened and I knew it would get popular because of how delicious everything was. My go to is the banana cream latte. My daughter always gets the seasonal matchas and we love the grill cheese sandwich with the tomato soup. Breakfast there is always delicious and the service is quick even though it's incredibly busy now. The girls who works there know my daughter and I now since we are regularly there. It's small but cute and simple and they've made a few changes since we first started going there. We love it and everything so good! Keep it up ladies!

Crème brûlée, latte and banana matcha :)

Miss Angela was really nice to remake my drink I really appreciate that especially having a lot of people she was super sweet about it !

I loved the vibe !!! Small and intimate and love how there was outdoor seating to the side. Parking was scarce, definitely street parking or at the KFC across the street. The Banana Crème Brulee Matcha was very very good and the taste was beyond expected (definitely would come back) the dirty vanilla chai was great as well. I loved the Tomago Toast, and loved how it was decorated, loved the radish the truffle seasoning and olive oil added) and my cousin had the breakfast sandwich but he took off the pork sausage and the chorizo aioli. Would be great if they can have turkey or chicken sausage option but I understand if they can't. The service was decent the guy at the counter was very nice, however, there was a young lady who seemed up tight and rude after I had asked for hot sauce. I went back to get napkins 10 mins later and she was doing palo santo which through me off and when I went to sit back down I overheard people at the tables talking about the strong smell.... So I would caution... but other than that very pleased was recommended this by a good friend who lives in Chula Vista.

A very cute coffee shop with ample outdoor seating. The line moved fairly fast and they have a nice selection of drinks ranging from various matchas to other asian/mexican style coffees. I opted for the Banana Matcha Latte which was really smooth and had just a hint of banana flavor. It wasn't overly pronounced and I really enjoyed the balance. They also do a nice job of dressing the drink up with the foam, piece of banana, and some sprinkles. Also, it may not seem like a big deal but their drink prices are a little bit more reasonable than your average coffee shop where prices are getting more expensive for those 'specialty' drinks.

I literally told my sister "oooh a deli, I want a torta after" and then I headed into Bellus. As I was walking in the owner of this deli confronted me telling me not to park there and I let him know I had just been dropped off and wouldn't be taking up any of his parking and he continued "the car, the car" so persistently I had to just about yell at him that she left and we weren't parked there. Mind you his establishment was completely empty at the time. Not that it would be an excuse if we did park there( which I would never do). Throughout my entire appointment I was thinking about how crazy he came at me and when I decided to mention it to the esthetician student doing my facial she mentioned she had ordered some tostilocos from him the day prior that came with apple on them (unusual) and that the cueritos on them were mushy and when she asked for her money back on them he had an attitude about it, which I believe given what I saw from him today. On my way out I stopped to let him know that I was a potential customer and he totally deterred me from patronizing his business. Oh and shocker: his place was still empty when I told him this and it was lunchtime. Interesting.

The first was when I was about six-years old and I ate some of the best pizza in my life at that point on the patio during a sunny day while my older sister and her girl scout troop had a party event. The second, my Dad was when my Dad treated me to a mouth-watering and fresh Turkey submarine sandwich after my Confirmation, when I was about 16-years-old. Those were the days, yes, indeed. Forward to present day, and this deli is still unequivocally, one of my favorites spots to grab lunch or dinner. The staff consisting of a very diligent family are always polite and loquacious. The family certainly takes pleasure in making sure all customers are welcomed with open arms. During the past decade or so, the quality of food has not deteriorated. The pizza is always fresh, and hits the spot. I suggest ordering the 20-inch or 28-inch for events such as a movie night, boxing fight-night matches, or a birthday party for your son and/or daughter or for a family-gathering event in general. The crust from the pizza is thick and slightly crunchy...sometimes, I tear off some parts of the crust and save it for later. The selection of toppings are plenty and just enough to create the pizza to your liking. I would say the toppings are from the old-school style of pizza joints....ya know, that 1980's-style feel. As for the sandwiches, I have to refrain from ordering two! The bread is moist, delicious and pairs well with the choice of sub you select. I must warn you, it can be overwhelming with all the choices the deli has to serve. The Philly Steak is one, if not the best I have consumed in San Diego county. The other subs I suggest are: Turkey, ham and cheese, a Turkey sub, Pastrami sandwich and the gyro. I sincerely hope you will not be disappointed when you try what the deli has to offer. In addition, for the appetizers, the French fries, fried zucchini, and cheese garlic bread are supreme and premium side snacks to add if you are feeling voracious and ravenous. And, who knows, you may see Mario Lopez there during your visit. *Side Notes*: Parking lot is never crowded to a point where you become frustrated, the front entrance is visible and you will not miss the turn to drive inside the parking lot, and the establishment is easy to locate off the 805 freeway or if you are traveling from the roads.

Then, as the day progressed I wanted to have a good lunch so I would not be that hungry for dinner and just lightly snack. So, I was craving a deli sandwich. I decided to try Rubicon Deli in Mission Hills area. I kept hearing how their sandwiches were so good. I ordered a tuna sandwich, and the girl behind. the counter was helpful and friendly, but did inform me they were out of a few bread types. I order a Dutch crunch type of bread for a tuna sandwich. They serve half and whole sandwiches so I just ordered a half which was still a good-sized portion . I wish I would have liked this sandwich because I drove 20 minutes to try this place. The bread was too dry and super messy because it was so dry. The rest of the sandwich was okay. The tuna was bland tasting as it did not seem like it was seasoned. The veggies on it were the only thing that made the sandwich decent tasting. It was nothing to write home about or drive out of my area to try it . I was hungry and paid so I had to eat it. Although, I threw away the other half of it . It was not horrible, but it was not tasty either. The service was good and they had plenty of tables to sit down inside. But, I also noticed the tables were not being wiped down and under the tables there were food crumbs all over. Luckily, I had my trusty sanitizer for the table. The fact no one was cleaning as it needed to be done was a turn off. Restaurants and places of businesses need to take it serious and keep it clean everywhere so no one gets sick. Lastly, keep in mind when you arrive at this place, you have to pay the City of San Diego parking which I paid 2.50 extra just to come here .

I figured that when she came back with the first things I'd let her know that I wanted one more thing. She then came back with the first two things which were a sandwich and a smoothie. She asked "will that be all" and I said I would like another sandwich. I don't know what triggered her but I could tell she thought I was telling her that the sandwich was made wrong when that was not at all what I was telling her I was simply telling her I wanted another one (she btw kept repeating this for like 2 minutes before she realized that I was telling her I wanted one more sandwich).
