Tried The Coffee Machine and overall it was just okay. I ordered a coconut Irish cream iced latte with oat milk, vanilla cloud foam, and caramel drizzle, flavor-wise, it was really good and hit that sweet, creamy vibe perfectly. The space itself is very minimal with not much going on inside, and it's located right across from the trolley. That said, I wasn't greeted when I walked in, which kind of set the tone. Customer service felt pretty meh, and with construction making the parking lot a bit of a hassle, it just didn't feel like the easiest stop. The liquor store owner was also standing outside checking where people were parking which felt a little bizarre being that there's not many parking spots. Hidden in a small complex this place had a good variety in drinks including a rotating flavor for coffee & matcha. The staff were very friendly and helpful in letting me change my matcha order from lavender to cookie butter after I ordered. The drinks were prepared very quickly and the prices were fair for two 20oz drinks. The strawberry horchata latte is very good and sweet and the cookie butter matcha has a very subtle sweetness. read more

I would consider this location is more of a grab and go there isn't really a lot of space inside. It is also next to the trolley and buses stop. Also be aware that the parking is limited and you might have to wait a bit. Came here a few times and ordered a few different drinks which all turned out to be really good! The coffee flavor really comes through and the drinks aren't too sweet. Would definitely recommend it. If you don't wanna make the drive to this location, I know they opened a second location in Chula Vista. read more

Located on San Ysidro off the Palm Ave exit. there's no seating inside or outside and only a very small waiting area for drink pickup. I ordered a large vanilla latte with breve (extra fee) and an iced strawberry matcha latte. The drinks were good, but a little on the pricey side. Parking is definitely a challenge. There's very limited parking and tow-away signs everywhere. The nearby liquor store owner is quick to tow, so be careful where you park. read more

It's a little hole in the wall and if you don't look closely you might miss it. We tried an iced café de olla and a blended white chocolate raspberry coffee. The café de olla was ok, I think drinking it iced definitely brightens up the flavor. My chocolate raspberry drink was just ok. I was on a matcha hunt and found this place through Yelp. I want to start off by saying that both times we have been here service has been beyond amazing and every single person working has been just as attentive. You can definitely tell how appreciative they are and the love they have for their business and customers. I tried a strawberry matcha with oat milk and a strawberry horchata matcha with oat milk. Both drinks were delicious but my personal favorite was the strawberry horchata matcha. My only suggestion would be to add bigger drink sizes. The place is small but feels really cozy and there's limited seating for you to wait for your drinks. read more

This is a great little husband and wife small business coffee shop. I had them make be a cortado, and Donna did a terrific job making me one. The cortado was rich in flavor, and quite robust towards the end. It was perfect for slow sipping and enjoyment. The coffee machine uses single origin coffees from Mexico. They place is mostly to go, but they do offer a few seats inside if you would like to stay a bit and chat. They offer rotating pastries. Donna and Jonathan are super nice and would appreciate your business to share their great espresso based beverages. Saw this place on instagram and since we were nearby, we had to try it! Everyone that works there is friendly and welcoming! We had the cinnamon toast marsh latte and mazapan latte, but the whole menu sounded so good so we're planning on coming back! The shop itself is not very big so it's more of a pick up cafe :) The location doesn't have very many parking spots, BUT the palm ave trolley is right across the street so you can park there or there's side street parking. I really wanted to like this place, and really want to support small businesses. Unfortunately their drinks really upset my stomach. I even went back a 2nd time hoping the first time was a fluke, but it wasn't. Both times I ordered matcha drinks w/oat milk, but two different variations. They both tasted really good, but within an hour or so my digestive system couldn't handle them. Maybe the staff/management really needs to investigate their compliance with food safety standards. Whatever the reason, I hope things really improve there. I still gave 3 stars because at least I thought the flavors were really good. read more

I loved this place! The space is really cozy and clean. The owners and the girl that takes you order are super nice and make you feel welcomed. Asked for the pan dulce and they were super nice telling us the flavors. Pan dulce was really fresh. We tried 2 matchas: strawberry and horchata. They were delicious. Authentic matcha and you can also taste the horchata and the strawberry. Sometimes when you order "something" horchata it only tastes like milk with cinnamon, but the matcha actually had a dense texture that tasted like horchata. My sister got cafe de la olla as well, and it is super tasty. Can't wait to come back and try another drink! When leaving, they tell you to have a nice day with a positive attitude. Came here after my cousin and his wife recommended it. It's very quaint and definitely suited for to-go orders only. I got a gansito latte with oat milk and to my surprise, they put a whole ass gansito in there! I immediately wanted to pull it out to eat lol. We had the Beignets (5 for $12) to share, and I ordered the Curry Hamburg ($20), a Black Sesame Latte ($7) w/ a shot of Matcha (+$2), and a Matcha Yuzu Mimosa ($13) for myself. The beignets, perfectly shared between the 5 of us, were a bit too dense and possessed a weirdly hard outer crust. The matcha cream and black sesame mascarpone serving as dips made them a little more enjoyable. The black sesame latte was deliciously nutty, but the matcha shot at the $2 up charge was exorbitant. (Note: This is their only caffeine addition -- along with hojicha -- as they do not have an espresso machine). I was very disappointed in the Curry Hamburg, unfortunately. This was a failed attempt at omurice. The egg, while plentiful, was not even seasoned. Further, the equally unseasoned hamburger patty was very dry and the sauce over-salty. They should have distributed the salt and seasoning throughout the dish because it lacked serious balance. They just added beer and mimosas, so the Matcha Yuzu Mimosa, though overkill with the Matcha (and likely wasted), did ease the ache some. I made reservations online via OpenTable where I had to put a credit card down and agree to the seemingly shady policy regarding party changes within a 24 hour period. We were seated immediately, but they gave us a table with some weird wooden fold-up chairs. Our table was strangely the only one with these uncomfortable chairs. It was also excessively loud and we almost didn't learn the name of our server, who, by the way, was PHENOMENAL despite some of the disappointment with the food! Thank you (Mick) Jagger for taking care of us and getting our food out to us so quickly!

If you're looking for the best coffee in the South Bay, look no further! My friend and I stopped by this amazing coffee shop on Saturday morning, and we were blown away. I had the strawberry matcha, which was absolutely refreshing and flavorful -- the perfect balance of sweetness and high quality matcha taste. My friend went for the Irish cream coconut latte, and she couldn't stop raving about it. The combination of creamy Irish cream and coconut was so smooth and delicious -- truly a unique twist on a classic latte. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is incredibly friendly. It was disappointing when the staff informed me they were shutting down the place at 3:00. Not only was I not able to complete my computer tasks, but I also wasted over half an hour of parking time because of the early closure.
