Great place to spend an hour or two and drool over all the amazing toys. They have it all, dice, cards, roulette wheels, blackjack tables, art...everything gambling related is here. The prices are a little bit better than other nearby places and their showroom is bigger as well. I thoroughly enjoyed stopping in here and found some great gifts. Visited this place with friends. Looking for souvenirs to bring home. The lady behind the counter was not helpful and downright rude. I listened to the way she talked to other customers as well. She seems to have something against you if you're not a local, which is stupid given where they are. Well excuse me if I'm not a local, maybe you shouldn't be selling souvenirs then? My friend was seriously contemplating buying a craps table top because they don't sell them back home, but the attitude of this lady turned us off and we left without buying a single thing. I will never set foot in that store again. Spinetti's across the street has friendly knowledgeable people, a cleaner environment and will go out of their way to help you rather than insult you. This is your one stop shop for anything related to gambling. They have tons of retired casino card decks (seriously, three isles of cards!), dice, chips, trays, walls of books, cheat sheets, vintage slot machines, a small collection of movie posters and vintage signs, walls of strategy books, and quite a bit more. It's a bit pricey, but worth the trip to find anything you need to set up your own poker night. I particularly loved the giant statue of a Native American man with a slot machine for a chest, selling for $5,700. This whole area is good for antique and thrift shopping, particularly furniture. read more

Don't expect a fancy place but expect the right prices. Cards used at all of the casinos for $2 a deck! Dice used at casinos and a good selection of chips (commemorative or stock up you clay chip set). This place is the place to go, but don't hang in this neighborhood at night. read more

Should update my review now that they are under new management and not owned by USPCC. They have a good selection of Bicycle/USPCC cards, decks by Theory 11 and the rest, used casino cards and dice, novelties, and Las Vegas souvenirs. Staff are extremely helpful, more than before. I just came back from my yearly trek to Las Vegas. Since I am a card collector I paid another visit to the Gamblers General Store. This trip was not so successful. Since I buy alot and have large orders they were not really helpful in shipping or giving me a bulk price. I was disappointed and took business across the street to another casino/gaming store. From my last visit the customer service was not there. In the future I may try them again since they may have had a bad day or something. read more

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy browsing the store but this is a tourist spot. I have found that items are overpriced compared to it's rival across the street, and no I am not an employee of Spinettis. Recently decided to put a blackjack table in a rental house in tahoe. They had a great selection of quality tables. The customer service was outstanding as I was there about an hour and had someone work with me the whole time. I was extremely happy with the service & got everything needed. Although I am not old enough to gamble, I love going here for the Vegas history, the large selection of books, and the large selection of cards. They also make personalized chips as well. It is a little hard to find, took us a while, but it is worth it. It is also very quiet and nobody bothers you. read more

I was looking for a poker chip set for home games. Unfortunately, most chip sets available online are not in useful denominations or quantities; $500 and $1000 chips are okay for tournaments, but silly when playing cash. I finally made it to GGS...HUGE selection of products. It took me quite a while to make my way around the store, but that's not a bad thing. The staff was mostly friendly, and very helpful. I'm a chip collector, and I found exactly what I wanted. However, I decided to check Spinetti's before I bought anything. Spinetti's prices were significantly cheaper, at least for the chips I wanted....52 cents per chip at GGS, 30 cents for the same thing at Spinetti's. When your buying hundreds of chips, that adds up. After we returned home from Las Vegas (we live in Ohio) I realized I forgot to buy chip spacers. GGS was willing to cut me a big break on shipping for a small item, so I was more than happy to order from them. If you're looking for home casino items, chips, cards, slot machines, tables, whatever, I highly recommend at least looking at GGS. They have a fairly good website, and a very nice catalog. read more

A good place to kill some time. Inside you'll find gambling books, gambling equipment, Las Vegas souvenirs, a large selection of playing cards and poker chips, odds and ends. Seems like they're making an effort to clear stuff out. I noticed a lot of OLD merchandise marked for clearance. Hopefully this is a good thing because they seemed to be getting cluttered with junk over the past few years. I've purchased several poker books and good luck charms here. I browse the books, unique only for Las Vegas, while my kid gets the cards; Music, Star Trek, bands like KISS, DC and Marvel comics, they have all the best choices for visitors looking for gifts in Vegas. The store features everything you could imagine a store dedicated to gambling would have from full-size crap tables and slot machines to chips and dice and everything in between. They have rows and rows of retired cards from all of the Las Vegas casinos, as well as a good selection of collectible playing cards. I purchased a set of Star Wars cards for someone who collects Star Wars paraphernalia, and he loved them. If you are searching for a piece of Vegas to give a as a gift, this should be your first stop as well. I find it hard to find unique Vegas gifts that are not tacky, but a set of retired cards could be just the right thing. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM EVER! They will slow ship your item at their convenience and immediately blame the post office. They print the shipping label within the required seller requirements and then actually ship the items much later. I understand things happen so I kindly messaged the seller and an unapologetic Gamblers General Store representative named Crystal responds claiming the post office didn't scan it and it is not her fault . As someone that orders a lot I can say that my items from the USPS pretty much arrive like clockwork and the scans were in a standard and logical USPS order. Crystal has refused me a simple shipping refund which is sad seeing as I would have loved to order more but I can't as I don't know if it will arrive and if I have a problem am I simply going to be told it is my fault or it is the USPS faults so I am just out of luck?? So 1 shipping charge is worth losing a long term customers?? I thought a gambling book store should maybe be the first to understand the idea of long term value???
