No-nonsense BBQ joint in Duncan. Our party ordered the ribs, brisket, pulled pork and Mac and cheese, fried okra and onion rings for sides. The brisket was incredible, moist and smokey, it melted on the tongue. Ribs and pork were good too. The onion rings were enormous, coated in a seasoned breading. Game Day BBQ opened in the location of a previous BBQ restaurant which I enjoyed so was not sure what to expect. Verdict? I am so glad I gave them a try! With the exception of corn dogs and bologna on the kid's menu is homemade. They chop their pork (instead of pulled pork for you BBQ aficionados) and smoke daily using hickory and/or oak wood and the smokey flavor comes through. If you are fortunate to come in on a Friday you can trie their brisket which looked fantastic and is on my wish list for next time! My husband ordered food Friday night. The collard greens were too sweet, the baked beans were too spicy. Also the deserts missed the mark. I wasn't happy at all and kind of shocked because this was our second time eating there. The first time the food was amazing maybe they changed the recipe but the sides wasn't good. read more

The family and I were in Duncan for a weekend baseball tournament and found Gameday on Yelp. We stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. I had the brisket and the others pulled pork. The brisket was so tender it would literally melt in your mouth. The pork was equally as good. The sides (mac n cheese and fried okra) are large portions to and could easily be shared by two. What's even more amazing about this place is the story behind its existence. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Coach Clark and talking with him about how he went from coaching and influencing young kids the better half of his life to overcome the obstacles and adversity in sports (and life), to becoming a living example of his own coaching. It was truly a humbling experience to have met him and hear his story. Thank you Coach! I look forward to stopping by and eating again next time I'm in town. read more

I thought the chopped pork and rib combo were pretty good. I didn't get much sense of BBQ out of the brisket. So I would actually give the meats a 3-3.5 star rating. The fried okra was really good. The hush puppies needed seasoning but had great texture. Might try the chicken if there is a next time. We love Game Day BBQ. All of the food at Game Day BBQ that we have tasted so far has been great, especially their BBQ.

Had chopped BBQ sandwich and home made potatoe salad. Portions were huge for both and tasted great. Will be back!

I am obsessed with barbecue and this place has never disappointed. The sauce is delicious, Smokey and spicy. The meat is perfectly cooked and the sides are all delicious. But the food isn't the only thing that keeps bringing us back. This is a family owned restaurant and they are sweeter than the tea (which is saying something). They remember everyone who comes through the door and treats them with such an amazing kindness. The decor is modern and fresh, with a couple big screens to watch whatever game is on. Most barbecue restaurants seem rustic and eclectic so it is refreshing that this place is not. It feels cleaner than other competitors locations. The prices are extremely reasonable especially for the portions and I'm so grateful to have this close to home although if I lived further away I'd still make the journey to game day bbq because it is just that worth it. read more

When this place first opened up I absolutely loved it. The barbecue was chopped very finely and there was no gristle or fat. However over the years they've stopped chopping it as much now it's thick chunks filled with fat and gristle. The last time we ordered from there there was a lot of fat in my plate. We get to go food from them quite often and they never remember the buns that we order and pay extra for and they are very stingy with the sauces. which you have to pay extra for but they forget to send a lot. iused to be good but in my opinion they've gone downhill. read more

Wow, just fantastic! They've created a really nice eat in or take out spot here. Just Wed-Sat, I think in part to keep it relatively small batches and quality super high. They do all their own smoking and all the sides are homemade - and everything is delicious. We ordered 3 entrees (you get 2 sides): Pulled Pork BBQ Chicken Brisket (Fri-Sat only) Sides: Cole Slaw Sweet Potato crumble Bbq Beans All of it absolutely top notch, the man knows how to smoke. And its not over-peppered or salty, and no fatty chunks in the pork. Brisket melts in the mouth, chicken was perfect. Every side was fantastic too. Glad I stopped in. The place never looks busy, maybe I drive past at off hours. The place should be packed because it was excellent. I always get a pork sandwich and a couple sides when I try a new bbq place. The pork was smoked well, juicy and a huge portion. Had mac and cheese and hush puppies which were great too. I loved that nothing was over salted which is often my complaint with some bbq. I took mine to go so not sure what the service is like but the guy at the register was friendly and efficient. The place was not over decorated and clean with tv screens for game watching. We will definitely return. read more

Hands down, best barbecue around. All the sides are homemade and delicious. The ribs are tender and amazing. The brisket sells out quickly but if your lucky enough to get there and try it, I recommend it. So far, my favorite are the wings dipped in your choice or combination of sauces. Fantastic smoked brisket, so tender that there was no need for a knife. Also got a burnt end that was so delicious. My husband got the chopped pork, which was also wonderful. We got the baked beans, slaw, hush puppies and potato salad - all well-done, nothing funky, basic but in a good way. Also shared a strawberry cobbler which was a delightful end.
