Great taco truck, seriously awesome. We went to Poseidon brewery this evening, not knowing they close at 9pm (I heard weird hours due to Covid). We pulled up at 8:30 and when walking up to Game over, I asked the gentleman if they are still open. He told me they shut down 10 minutes ago, then asked if we were going to get a beer. When I told him yes, he asked his cook if the grill was still warm. Needless to say, they were nice enough to still cook us four Asada tacos, a chicken quesadilla and a veggie quesadilla for my son. The food was absolutely delicious.... Keep in mind, the grill probably was not the normal warm. We are going back next Friday to try their food earlier.. I can confidently say that they have the best Asada a food truck offers. They do not over season and it's good cuts of steak, nice and large, not the normal cheap taco truck asada.. Really, really tasty; really, really friendly. I had a birria Vampiro, and it was perfect- the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and full of flavor. My lyrically waxed praises of the mulita-like (but better) Vampiro segued into a discussion the finer points of mole, and before I knew it, I was being handed a cup of red pozole- some of the best I've ever had. read more

We had a company event catered by them in 8/23. We got a cheaper deal because we picked everything up. It was for about 35 people. I'm mexican and i think it was authentic. Most if not all places are not authentic at all, but for the refried beans for example you could taste that they had toasted a green chili in the oil first. Quality. Very savory beans. The chips weren't your typical thin, stale chips, they were more thick and crunchy. The hot red tomatillo salsa was delicious and spicy but i didn't think overwhelming. I also tried their avocado salsa which was not spicy but very flavorful. We had adobada, chicken and steak. The steak was juicy, chicken was okay, and adoabada was very flavorful(obviously more spices). Tortillas were given in packs of 3 prewarmed and wrapped in foil. The rice was typical. Overall i will definitely be looking for them again! read more

So...I was at a Brewery tonight in which Game Over had a truck parked outside of. Wasn't super hungry and was hoping for just some chips and salsa. The guy recommended Mulitas, which were not on the menu, so I thought I'd give it a go. They were SO insanely good!! I don't know what all the hell was in them besides salsa, cheese, and chicken, but the flavors were absolutely incredible!! I am home now wishing I had 18 more. Javier was awesome with any questions I had! He talked about the quality of their products and high quality it was! The vegan beans were so good, but light! You could taste the quality in their meat! Their toppings are delicious but people friendly (flavorful pico without the peppers and tasty guac sauce without the spice). When you have an event of 45+ people you expect at least one person to complain about the food... not one person complained about the food! Everyone kept saying how delicious the food was, how they could taste the quality, and how they are hoping we can use Game Over for another event! Hire them for your event and ask what comes in your order and you will be blown away! Reasonable prices also! Overall, I am glad I did my research and got the best quality! Yesterday was the second time we ordered game over catering tacos. This place is literally amazing, not only is the food absolutely delicious, but Javier and his crew are the nicest and most accommodating people. We ordered for my sons birthday last May and for my daughters birthday yesterday and even though the are super busy they worked with us and we were able to pick up the food and do serve yourself for our party. The portions are incredible and the meat is mouth watering. I was excited to try this taco truck, especially given all the 5 star reviews and amazing pictures!! Maybe my expectations were too high, but being from Pomona, I know what a good taco is!!! And these tacos were a bit on the bland side, perhaps to cater to a less evolved palate. The chicken and beef were tender but lacked flavor. The sauces tasted watered down. Spicy was not the spicy I had hoped for - no roasted pepper taste. I would have enjoyed tapatio much more. To make matters worse, I ordered a taco plate but did not get the sides that I was charged for. I would have gone back, but we were too far out and it wasn't worth the trip. Oh well, I gave it a try. I really hope I was just there on an "off day" but I'll never know 'cause I have no intention of trying it again. Food looked great but taste did not meet my expectations. read more

I've got to tell you I went to my favorite brew house the other day which is MadeWest brewhouse in Ventura. While I was there I needed a snack with my brew and my wife and I noticed there was a food truck with the name "Game Over". We ordered the nachos and we mix the meat with Carne Asada and chicken. So after growing up in Los Angeles and visiting many Mexican restaurants including Olvera Street in downtown LA I found "Game Over's food to be tremendous. We only had the nachos but the way they stack the chips keep them crunchy the whole way through. They infuse three cheeses into their beans and they were delicious as well (they keep it healthy to not adding any lard to their food). The reason I know this is? I quizzed the owner in the food truck afterwards because everything was so good. It's important to know that this is the first time I met him but I consider myself a connoisseur of Mexican food since I grew up with it. This is really good stuff. read more

I had rented this catering company for my wedding. In person the two gentlemen was very respectful easy going. Day comes for the wedding and table cloths was forgotten when we did speak about him providing them. He did inform me that he did have black table cloths and that they may be a lighter shade of black do to many uses. To me black is black so that's not a problem. He completely forgot them, so last minute I had to rent some. Second thing when speaking about food he did inform us that he always has extra food where people can go back for second maybe even third servings I had 30 people not eat because he ran out. Third thing he does provide drinks that's included there was 3 pitchers and they where mainly field with ice enough to serve maybe 70. Fourth thing he was extremely rude to my guest when they asked for utensils, as well as to the coordinator when asked about table cloths food drinks. The food was pretty tasty. Definitely wouldn't recommend for a wedding. Also I may add the gentleman stands behind serves and has a serious unhappy look the entire time. read more
