We stumbled upon this quaint taco spot a few years back and have fond memories of that day, so we decided to try and find it again and so happy we did! Though we were doing it for the nostalgia, we were also hungry and ready for some good food. We ordered the surf and turf burrito, a fish taco and a scallop garlic taco. They were all delicious! The fish taco was breaded very lightly and had the perfect crunch with every bite. The scallops were made perfectly (like fine dining level) and the burrito, so so good! The place is super cool. Small cozy but perfect size. Outside seating in front and the neat little area on the side where I sat. World Cup was on and the vibe was awesome. The girl that took my order was super friendly. The problem was the food. Maybe the oil wasn't hot enough because my fish tacos tasted like they were soaked in oil. You may or may not be able to easily find a spot if you come for dinner or on the weekends. Will have best chances if you come for weekdays at non lunch rush hours. What started as just another business day turned into such a fun food find. We were starving, craving something different, and on the way to the beach I spotted this little place tucked in among all the others nearby. My cousin had been here before, but the rest of us were first-timers, so choosing what to order was not easy because honestly, everything sounded good. Thankfully, my cousin told us to try the Parmesan-dusted tacos--and wow, that was the move. They were super crunchy, packed with flavor, and the kind of thing you just keep reaching for. Very welcoming and patient as it took us a while to decide since everything sounded great. Their green salsas are both so good and I'm pretty picky when it comes to salsa. What a GEM near Ventura. I was looking Spey for seafood tacos and found this place on Yelp. When I read that they had scallop tacos, I was sold. Parking is a BEAR, so be prepared to walk. The people at the nearby restaurant are not friendly at all and will watch you to make sure you don't park in their lot. The food here was to die for. I wanted to try the scallop tacos after seeing so many great reviews about them. I ordered a grilled shrimp taco and a scallop taco, the guy working was so sweet and I told him to put them on whatever tortillas he recommended. We sat outside on the small patio area and food came quickly. Loved the variety of salsas. Must've been a mix-up because my taco came with cheese (requested without) and on a flour tortilla instead of corn, but not the end of the world!! I am really sorry to write this bad review, but I've had 2 bad experiences with Pierpont tacos and I won't go back. A while ago I wanted to get dinner from this restaurant. I called and ordered for pick up. My nephew wanted street tacos with no onions. I asked if they would please make sure there were no onions on his tacos. When we brought it home, it looked like there were 100 onions on his tacos. Needless to say, he couldn't eat them. Today I gave the restaurant another try. I ordered 2 nacho plates, one with shrimp and 1 with chicken. I received 2 French fry plates. I called both times and they did nothing. Pierpont tacos has lost a customer. read more

These tacos were loaded and they hit the spot after spending the day at the beach, I highly recommend hacking them out. I can't believe I've gone this long without trying Pierpont Tacos, especially because I've often times found myself on Seaward enjoying the food and ocean views. Pierpont Tacos is an unassuming small restaurant so just make sure you don't miss it. Parking varies from weekdays to weekend and peak hours. I'd definitely recommend coming for a weekday early lunch as I was able to get parking right on the street in front of this spot and it was easy in and out. There are a couple tables outside but the majority of the seating is inside. This restaurant definitely has comfortable, casual, and local beach vibes to it. The illuminated menu pops out at you when you walk in. After you figure out what you want you order at the register and then just wait for your food, simple system. I'm definitely impressed by the menu here as they have a ton of options! From seafood plates, to tacos, and classic American fair, you can find something for everyone here. I would highly recommend the seafood plates and tacos though. The food was a solid 10/10 all day long. The food is cooked fresh to order and the quality of ingredients is really there. The fish was all fresh tasting and prepared perfectly. Also kudos for the large portions. A good value for your buck. I split the fried shrimp & chips plate and had my own fried fish taco. Both were solid! The fried shrimp were a good size and I really just like their fried batter. Every bite was crispy and fresh. Also the French fries were classic and tasty. And as far as excellent customer services goes, I also appreciate that they hook you up here. I mentioned before how the portion sizes are huge but also it's the little acts of "niceness" that go a long way. When I asked for extra sauce the owner didn't bat an eye and said no problem. Some places will charge you for extra and/or they give you one tiny container more and you have to feel awkward asking for even more. But nope not here. When I got the food home I saw he hooked me up with extras of all the sauces. Little stuff like this goes a long way with me and honestly isn't so little. Love the vibes here and nice people. If your craving a classic fried seafood plate or some stellar tacos you have to try Pierpont Tacos. This small beach adjacent taqueria had the cool vibes and tasty salsas. Some things were a little tricky for vegetarians, but the food was pretty good. We wanted nachos without meat--no substitutions, or discount--just without meat. It took a bit to request that, but we did get it. Oddly it had nacho cheese and refried beans and parmesan, so they were tasty but definitely wet like chilequiles without eggs. The potato tacos were stuffed with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese, and with this heavy filling, they easily cracked the taco shell at first bite and required a fork for subsequent bites. The bean, cheese, and rice burrito was so tasty, especially with the variety of salsas and soft tortilla. Pretty sure those beans all had lard, but shh I am enjoying this. The staff was friendly which is kinda expected (but you don't always get that at places) and the other customers were friendly too.
