Good food truck! Custom made vegan tacos, just whole beans with cilantro and onion. Delish!

I don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews! They are higgghhly UNDERRATED. They are located in the parking lot for Leashless brewing. Their shrimp burrito, ceviche, and birria fries were amazing!

    Carne Asada quesadilla is delish!!

Great little taco truck next to some great brews! Quesadilla was fantastic! They're located alongside Leashless brewing, great combo!

My boyfriend and I decided to give Gio's Tacos & Burrito a try since it was close to the area we were staying! My boyfriend got the carnita tacos and I got the asada nachos! both really enjoyed our food! 10/10 recommend!

I was a little bit irritated, having skipped lunch and was dreadfully hungry when I stopped by in here... And of course, the guy right in front of me had four or five orders they had to come out for us! But good Lord, is this place worth it with or without the weight. I ordered birria - and it is full on authentico. One example of Mexican cuisine, like Malay, that is potentially life-changing when it's done right, or can cause a weeks worth of tears when it's done poorly. I will definitely be stopping by here every time I am in town, I live about half hour from here but all of the seafood dishes and everything else looks to be the same extremely high quality as what I got. Really looking forward to it!

Ummmm have you been to Gios? Ask yourself why not? Because the asada nachos are straight fire. Period. Point blank. You are welcome.

My giant hand is in there for reference... I'm 5'10" tall and this burrito makes it look small.

Holy fat burritos, Batman, lol! I think it's safe to say carne asada is the primary ingredient!

GETTING HERE:…read more Located in DTVTA on Main Street, between E.P. Foster Library and Starbucks. Parking is, well, if you know you know. :( REVIEW: This is a great little restaurant and I prioritize coming here every time I am in DTVTA. Recently, I was at the Rubicon Theatre and needed lunch after a show. This location is located within walking distance of the Rubicon and is usually so busy each time I come! My marker of a good place to eat is usually on how busy they are. :) This recent visit I had a torta (my first, didn't catch the name) and it was outstanding! The meat was fresh and hot and the bun was flavorful! I did note that on my next visit here I want to try the Hawaiian (?) torta! Can't wait to be back! The service is always great each time. Thank you to the ladies who are friendly and respectful and greeted us (and all the customers) with a smile. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend!

I've eaten at 3 of their locations, and perhaps this location may be slightly more geared to 'gringo' tastes. I had their breakfast burrito, and unlike most other tacquerias, they give you a lot of nice melted cheese. The beans didn't taste as salty or flavorful as some other taco places. But overall, very satisfying, just didn't have that fully tacqueria taste. I have really enjoyed their veggie Papas and rajas tacos at the Avenue location. This may be the best tacqueria for vegetarians, more options. Staff here tends to be younger (college ages), and generally very friendly. I actually sometimes just stop in for their Horchata. It's not homemade (as that is a very difficult drink to make!) but I find it satisfying. In general all the prices here are reasonable, less than some other places that are charging 15-17 for burritos. This is a strong recommendation if you are downtown and craving casual Mexican eats!

Great bar setup, relaxed atmosphere, and a fun, lively environment without feeling overwhelming. The service was super friendly -- the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. Now the food... excellent across the board. The fish and chips were battered perfectly -- light, crispy, and packed with flavor. Not greasy, just done right. My son ordered the carne asada tacos and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. He loved the seasoning and the flavor. I had the ahi burger, and it was cooked perfectly -- great texture, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the original fish tacos, and they were outstanding. Fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and great quality overall. One thing we really appreciated was the three different house sauces they offer. Each one was excellent and totally changes the experience depending on your palate. Whether you like something sweet, spicy, or slightly tangy to balance everything out, they've got you covered. It's a nice touch that lets everyone customize their meal. You can really taste the freshness in everything. It's a great family-friendly spot but also perfect if you just want to hang out at the bar and enjoy good food and good vibes. We had an awesome time and will definitely be back.

Let's talk about the drinks. The Lemon Drop with Vodka was an amazing choice. The Old Fashioned was good too, but it was a bit too strong for my taste. The Horchata was decent, but I've had better. Now, let's talk about the food. The Mulita is the star of the show! I personally loved their Asada Mulita. It was rich and full of flavor. On weekends, you can also order Off Cuts like Tripa, Cabeza, and Lengua. My wife raved about the Cabeza Mulita, saying it was amazing! We also tried three types of tacos: Pastor, Asada, and Apollo. All three were delicious, but here's how I ranked them in order of taste: 1) Asada - Amazing tender flavor 2) Chicken - Very tender 3) Pastor - I'm a huge pastor fan, but while delicious, the other two tacos beat it to third place. By the way, my wife and daughter were raving about their grilled fish tacos. They believe these are the best tacos on the menu because of their amazing flavor. The fresh salsas are also very delicious. They're all great, so try them all with your tacos. And the knockout punch comes when you try their Elote (grilled corn on the cob). This is an OMG off the charts FULL of FLAVOR treat. I highly recommend having at least one as part of your meal. You won't be disappointed.

I thought the tacos would be decent, had a good attitude coming here, but boy, what a nice surprise this place was! Small line in front, you order, pay, go inside, wait for your order at pick up window. Simple! Tables on the pier, and they have a patio facing the ocean, nice view. Picnic tables! They sell wine, beer, margarita-s. Great selection! But the tacos!!! We got 4 between me and my husband to share and sample: Baja Taco (got fried fish) had fresh ingredients, lettuce and a nice lime flavor! Beach House Tacos (got grilled fish), nice pineapple salsa, tender fish, nice sauces and lettuce. Calamari Taco - fried calamari - fresh avocado and cabbage, nice sauce - chipotle. Marilu Taco with popcorn shrimp with nice chile lime crema, not too spicy. Even the fried seafood here is fresh, not very fried, just a tad, nice and crispy, but not greasy. Loved every taco, they are all different than each other, they use fresh ingredients and vegetables, each had a great, original flavor, they don't skimp on anything - seafood or ingredients. By far, some of the best tacos I ever had, they go in my Top 5. 4 Tacos (they are big!) are enough for 2 people. My and my husband we also shared a portion of guac and chips, they reminded us of Mexico. The guac had a lime flavor and well mashed, the tortilla chips are thicker and extra friend.
