The food is honestly really good but they really pissed me off and I will never be going back which again pisses me off cuz the food was great! First off, the parking here is a nightmare. I literally got boxed in and had to ask someone to move their car so I could back out. Secondly, me and my coworker stop here at 11:30am for an early lunch. There is literally 1 other person there who had already ordered and got their meal just as me and my coworker sit down after ordering. We ordered 7 tacos in total... 30 minutes later the food still hadn't arrived. I finally go up to the counter to see if something was wrong and the guy had no idea about our order and said he was sorry that they had a big catering order. As a former business owner I do understand that stuff happens and a large catering order is good for business but ultimately that isn't the customers problem. Especially the customer that is sitting there at your establishment. Rather than tell us while we were ordering that it might take longer than normal, they don't communicate anything and then don't even address the issue until I go up there to complain. Once that happened the tacos came out in less than 5 minutes which is even more upsetting since this is how fast they should have come out to begin with. The gentleman who I think was an owner did apologize and try to offer some free drinks which I politely declined as I knew I'd never be back again. I hope that this business learns to service the customers properly that are actually dining there and if there is an issue at least takes some initiative to address it on the front side. Most working class people only get a 30-45 minute lunch to begin with so it wasn't cool that we literally wasted 30 minutes just sitting there with no explanation. Okay, the food was good but I can't get over the fact that there are no prices posted. I obviously checked YELP before coming and couldn't find any prices or on their website. No prices on the menu. I had to ask how much the tacos were to which the women working showed me a prices list. It was very awkward. Moving past no prices, the back picnic table seating area was nice. Amazing quesabirria tacos! We've been here a few times just for the birria and it's always been great. This time I tried something else and got a pastor burrito (my favorite at any Mexican restaurant) and it was something special. My new favorite in town and a must go for anyone rolling through. I seriously do not understand how this place has any good reviews. The food is terrible! I ordered a quesabirria taco and a carne asada taco. It looked more like a pile of grease (seriously)! I didn't even end up eating the first one. Tried the carne asada and it was just okay at best. They hide their prices on by but displaying them in the menu or on any of the signs and then charge prices as if you were at some upscale place when it's just an outside taco stand. It's just a surprise when they ring you up and definitely a surprise when they deliver the food because it is barely edible. Seating is just some benches outside put on top of dirt. Tacos are still good. Great meat quality and flavor. Love that they come with grilled and pickled onions on the side. The salsas are good too. All 3 have a kick so be ready for that. My review is going down a bit from last time. I tried the birria gordita today and it was okay. The beans don't have much flavor and the gordita itself also lacked some flavor. Very little birria inside and you basically only get the meat at the bottom of the gordita. My husband had the asada burrito and said it was decent. He also thought the beans could have more flavor. Parking is still a problem given that it's on a major street. I ordered online so just had the husband jump out of the car to avoid having to find parking nearby. Well well well.... Tacos el shit hole. This mexican restaurant wouldnt even do well in hell. Stopped here on my way home from del topia (no i wasnt on molly) and was hoping to get a familiar favorite to warm my belly. I ordered a BRC (bean rice and cheese) burrito. I have had issues in the past with degenerates not melting my cheese and just throwing it in raw. So i asked the they/them at the counter to make sure my cheese was melted. We got there right as they opened so we ordering was easy and got our tacos prepared fairly quickly. Tacos el Diablo is really fire food. First off when ordering via the phone the employee is very helpful in placing your order and confirms your order and location( they have one in Oxnard and Ventura). They have updated the seating area and restroom area a considerable amount since the Hogie place. There is even a sign that says Cheesesteaks and bogies are available if you ask. But I haven't dared. The Al pastor is really good, full of flavor. The tacos are really good, and I love how the package them with paper in between so the tacos don't stick to each other. My absolute favorite is their habanero salsa. It looks rather unappealing and not spicy, but upon first taste you'll be amazed at the spice and flavor level. The spicy level is perfect for me and I ended up using the whole container- I absolutely loved it- I WANT THE RECIPE if possible! :) The green salsa is very delicious as well, similar consistency to Lalo's with the slimes tomatillos, but this salsa has more flavor than lalos. The red salsa was great, but honestly after the habanero salsa taste like water to me. The flavor is great and definitely a top notch salsa. All around their salsas are great. We ordered 5 tacos and 2 burritos. Our order came out to $38.65. Their menu does not reflect prices, which makes sense due to inflation and needing to update frequently, but I still think a restaurant should display their prices. I would guess the prices are $2.50/taco and $12 for a burrito. The burrito was fire just like last time. The chicken was diced chicken breast that was incredibly flavorful. The beans inside the burrito were perfect restaurant beans, nice and refried with plenty of flavor- I could eat those all day. Overall Tacos el Diablo is a great spot, I presume for traveling on the 101 it's perfect whether you're traveling north or south due to on ramps being pretty close. read more

You choose your meat and then the vehicle for it--taco, burrito, flauta, gordita and then you wait about 15 minutes. They have fun Spanish music playing and picnic tables to sit at. The food was fresh and flavorful and well priced. We tried all three of their salsas which were also delicious and spicy, as promised by the "El Diablo" name! Server was very friendly and the seating is outside only. We ordered the quesobirria tacos, asada/Al pastor/ chorizo tacos and the churro donuts. ALL OF IT WAS SOLID. The quesobirra tacos were the star of this meal as these tacos were so flavorable. The consume had a great flavor and the grilled onions on the side was a nice touch. The chorizo tacos were amazing. Some Of the best chorizo I've had in general. They defiantly take the win out of the other meats. Asada and Al Pastor were ok, just wish it had a bit more flavor but overall still good tacos. The churro donuts were amazing! Such a great desert, highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth, you won't regret trying these. We paid $43 bucks for all our food which a bit pricy for tacos, but keep in mind this is downtown Ventura after all. Besides the food is truly so good that you won't mind paying the higher price. So far these are the BEST quesabirria tacos around. I usually go to the Oxnard location however the Ventura location is consistent in flavor. Love that they serve them with grilled and picked onion and all the sides. Service is a walk up window and you pick up so nothing fancy.
