Tacos
Raechel I.

Okay, the food was good but I can't get over the fact that there are no prices posted. I obviously checked YELP before coming and couldn't find any prices or on their website. No prices on the menu. I had to ask how much the tacos were to which the women working showed me a prices list. It was very awkward. Moving past no prices, the back picnic table seating area was nice. Especially since I had 2 kids with me, gave them space. The liked both the red & green salsas. The meat was good quality and flavorful. Tacos portions were small. I wanted to try the churros but they were crossed off the menu. I would like to go back again but I need prices.

Ventura local here. This is easily the best Mexican food in Ventura. Sopes, tacos, nachos, birria, horchata. Literally everything I've ever gotten is fire.

Must go place if you are in Ventura,CA. One of the best Mexican food i had when i was visiting Ventura. Everything i ordered tasted great. I ordered quesabirrias, street tacos and quesadillas. They all were good portion and reasonable price. Will definitely come here back when i visit Ventura next

"Tacos El Diablo is hands down my go-to spot for killer carnitas! I can't get enough of their gorditas, sope, and the nachos de carnitas of course-- every bite is packed with flavor. The vibes are chill, the portions are perfect, and it's the kind of place that makes you crave tacos all week long. Highly recommend if you love authentic, delicious Mexican eats!" Make sure you don't offer the quesadilla because, at this location they don't make it "tortilla de mano" its a regular flour tortilla... I was heart-broken about this! Please adjust your menu to reflect this our have the person taking the order say this... $15 for a quesadilla is not worth it... if it's a regular floor tortilla! By the way... I love the sweet girl with the colored eyes she has the best customer service! Thanks for being kind!

Best Tacos in Ventura -- Hands Down! Tacos El Diablo is the taco spot in Ventura. I've tried plenty of places, but nothing compares to the flavor and quality here. Their meat is incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. And don't even get me started on the salsas -- the red and habanero ones are absolutely to die for. Spicy, bold, and packed with flavor that takes everything to the next level. If you're a taco lover, this place is a must. Consistently amazing food and the kind of spot you keep coming back to. Five stars, no question!

Little hole in a wall, you can easily miss it but if you do, you will miss some good seafood tacos, we had gotten two battered fish and shrimp tacos to keep it light. They were actually pretty big tacos, def worth your buck. Heads up if you get the Habanero Aioli or Habanero chipotle, I forgot what it was called but can't handle spice don't put it on, if you spicy- only a few drops, and love spicy- drench it. I forgot to taste it and poured it, mouth was burninglol

Super quick and easy experience! We parked, ordered right away, and our food came out fast. The ambiance is really charming, and the back outdoor area is such a hidden gem....quiet, cute, and perfect for enjoying a meal. The food was delicious and super affordable for the portion sizes. The chili verde had a great kick, but the fish tacos totally stole the show. Light, crispy, and full of flavor. Definitely a great spot to sit down and enjoy a tasty, budget-friendly meal. Plenty of parking, though it can be a little tricky to get into the lot during rush hour. Will definitely be back!

Was traveling through Ventura and stumbled upon this place. It tasted amazing and food came out in 3 minutes! Did not disappoint. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town

We came here for lunch and the food we ordered is good and flavorful. The flavors are very rich, not salty. The outdoor sitting is such a great way to enjoy your food :)

GETTING HERE:…read more Located in DTVTA on Main Street, between E.P. Foster Library and Starbucks. Parking is, well, if you know you know. :( REVIEW: This is a great little restaurant and I prioritize coming here every time I am in DTVTA. Recently, I was at the Rubicon Theatre and needed lunch after a show. This location is located within walking distance of the Rubicon and is usually so busy each time I come! My marker of a good place to eat is usually on how busy they are. :) This recent visit I had a torta (my first, didn't catch the name) and it was outstanding! The meat was fresh and hot and the bun was flavorful! I did note that on my next visit here I want to try the Hawaiian (?) torta! Can't wait to be back! The service is always great each time. Thank you to the ladies who are friendly and respectful and greeted us (and all the customers) with a smile. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend!

I've eaten at 3 of their locations, and perhaps this location may be slightly more geared to 'gringo' tastes. I had their breakfast burrito, and unlike most other tacquerias, they give you a lot of nice melted cheese. The beans didn't taste as salty or flavorful as some other taco places. But overall, very satisfying, just didn't have that fully tacqueria taste. I have really enjoyed their veggie Papas and rajas tacos at the Avenue location. This may be the best tacqueria for vegetarians, more options. Staff here tends to be younger (college ages), and generally very friendly. I actually sometimes just stop in for their Horchata. It's not homemade (as that is a very difficult drink to make!) but I find it satisfying. In general all the prices here are reasonable, less than some other places that are charging 15-17 for burritos. This is a strong recommendation if you are downtown and craving casual Mexican eats!

Great bar setup, relaxed atmosphere, and a fun, lively environment without feeling overwhelming. The service was super friendly -- the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. Now the food... excellent across the board. The fish and chips were battered perfectly -- light, crispy, and packed with flavor. Not greasy, just done right. My son ordered the carne asada tacos and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. He loved the seasoning and the flavor. I had the ahi burger, and it was cooked perfectly -- great texture, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the original fish tacos, and they were outstanding. Fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and great quality overall. One thing we really appreciated was the three different house sauces they offer. Each one was excellent and totally changes the experience depending on your palate. Whether you like something sweet, spicy, or slightly tangy to balance everything out, they've got you covered. It's a nice touch that lets everyone customize their meal. You can really taste the freshness in everything. It's a great family-friendly spot but also perfect if you just want to hang out at the bar and enjoy good food and good vibes. We had an awesome time and will definitely be back.

As it cooled down, it wasn't as smooth to spread on your chip but still good. And their beef tallow fries are always a must and delish! Service was so friendly! The woman who took our order made recommendations on the menu, was very sweet, and attentive. Servers walking around were also so nice and good about cleaning up unused plates. Great place for a quick, low stakes happy hour and dinner. Family friendly and beautiful setup.

I thought the tacos would be decent, had a good attitude coming here, but boy, what a nice surprise this place was! Small line in front, you order, pay, go inside, wait for your order at pick up window. Simple! Tables on the pier, and they have a patio facing the ocean, nice view. Picnic tables! They sell wine, beer, margarita-s. Great selection! But the tacos!!! We got 4 between me and my husband to share and sample: Baja Taco (got fried fish) had fresh ingredients, lettuce and a nice lime flavor! Beach House Tacos (got grilled fish), nice pineapple salsa, tender fish, nice sauces and lettuce. Calamari Taco - fried calamari - fresh avocado and cabbage, nice sauce - chipotle. Marilu Taco with popcorn shrimp with nice chile lime crema, not too spicy. Even the fried seafood here is fresh, not very fried, just a tad, nice and crispy, but not greasy. Loved every taco, they are all different than each other, they use fresh ingredients and vegetables, each had a great, original flavor, they don't skimp on anything - seafood or ingredients. By far, some of the best tacos I ever had, they go in my Top 5. 4 Tacos (they are big!) are enough for 2 people. My and my husband we also shared a portion of guac and chips, they reminded us of Mexico. The guac had a lime flavor and well mashed, the tortilla chips are thicker and extra friend.
