This place was great to pregame at. However, if you are looking to order food, be prepared for a lllooooonnnngggg wait! Atmosphere was fun, beverages reasonably priced.

As a rule, I do not award 5-stars. When I do, the experience was far above peers and expected. This is a working class, beer in plastic cups, paper plates, folding tables and chairs place. It is the real deal for a Baltimore neighborhood pre-game watering hole. Local specialty food is cooked and served in the back alley. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and proud of what they deliver: atmosphere and great local she-crab soup and generous warm sandwiches. You'll know you are in a firehouse where loyal professionals served the neighborhood long before any stadium was built or the waterfront was rebuilt. Tables are family style seating (friendly patrons will sit down with you and make you feel welcome) and the bathroom is kept clean. Oh, and it is a not-for-profit benefiting the widows and children of firefighters.

Very very very bland which is so disappointing. Why don't places season their chicken??? Or maybe they surface season and don't let it marinate. The chicken isn't directly on the lettuce when you receive it though, which is smart so the heat won't wilt the lettuce. The lettuce was crispy and good amount of cheese. It was shaved and crumpled Parmesan, I believe. Croutons were good but the dressing was okay. I think it was made in house, definitely taste the anchovies but something was missing. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. Overall, I did enjoy the salad!

The first time I recall having a shrimp salad sandwich which was the special of the day served with fries and it was a good portion. The second time around I got the cheese steak with whiz and I wasn't as big a fan of this. I actually ended up switching with my bf who got a tuna salad which tasted fresh and had bits of candied pecans which offset the pepperiness of the tuna crust. Service is always fast and friendly- a good neighborhood place to stop in for drinks and tavern ish fare. More a 3.5 than a 3. (Wish Yelp would implement half stars :/)

The service was courteous, attentive, extremely professional & our server was very astute concerning every aspect of our dining experience, from assisting us with menu choices to making sure we had appropriate take out containers for our leftovers. Our server was prepared for any & all questions & concerns we voiced. The food was delightful. Every dish we tried was absolutely bursting with flavor. The whole fried fish I ordered was cooked perfectly. It was crunchy on the outside with tender, flaky flesh on the inside. The spices that encapsulated the fish enhanced the overall flavor of the dish. It was some of the best fish I have had the pleasure of eating. My husband had the crab cakes & he stated that they were full of actual crab meat & not filler. I was very impressed that the restaurant offered a free calamari appetizer if you sign up for emails. The calamari was also very light & tasted great. We ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries as an appetizer also & they were crunchy and cooked perfectly & also very flavorful. We ended our meal sharing a Mexican coffee. It was yummy & the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Finally, the view, decor & ambiance of the restaurant were all breathtaking. The restaurant is situated at a quiet part of the Inner Harbor. So we were able to enjoy our meal with a beautiful view of the harbor away from the usual hustle & bustle of the harbor. Rusty Scupper is definitely a restaurant I recommend trying if you are in Baltimore. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Brunch included a made-to-order omelet bar with lots of fresh vegetables and some meats as mix-ins. Most omelet stations typically include one type of shredded cheese as an add-in.. This station offered three: mild cheddar, mozzarella, and goat cheese. The omelet maker could cook four omelets at the same time. Mine was delicious. Although the establishment appeared short-staffed, the individuals working were very attentive and polite to all of the customers. The ambiance is what one would expect from a lounge/bar/restaurant located in an open hotel lobby. The bar was centered in the middle of the seating. Thus, customers who desired to eat in a low-traffic area could position the bar between themselves and the lobby. Overall, I was pleased by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The price was a tad steep but not unreasonable given all of the options available. I definitely recommend breakfast.
