    Grilled REUBEN

This was such a great choice for lunch! Our waitress, Brittany, was so great! She was attentive and knowledgeable, with great recommendations for food and drinks! I love a Moscow mule, and really enjoyed the version of a mule that Brittany recommended. I didn't even look at the menu, so I can't remember the name. It was very refreshing! My husband had an Irish coffee and enjoyed the midday pick-me-up choice. For lunch, I had to have the crab cake! It was, without a question, the BEST crab cake I've had in recent memory. Minimal flavor, lump crab, seasoned just right that I could still savor the authentic taste of the crab cake. The fries were also great! I'm not a big salad person, so I didn't eat much of the cucumber salad, but it was a typical garden salad. My husband's Rueben was HUGE! He really enjoyed it. 5 STARS! The service. The patio seating. The food. Loved all of it! We actually almost went back for Happy Hour! Can't wait to try this place again!

The last of my delicious arugula and goat cheese salad. A hit!

Stop by to the pub for a elite, at 9 PM dinner, one night after a major convention and thought overall it was good. Standard pub fare. I had the corned beef Reuben and it didn't feel homemade. The corned beef was a little tough it could've been more flavorful, but it was serviceable. However, the salad was a revelation. We had an arugula with goat cheese, and it was so fresh and amazing. It was really the highlight! Service was wonderful. Our waiter was exceptional, despite the fact that he was covering a huge section by himself. They have live music, which is always a plus. But if one wants something quieter, they have a side atrium room that serves just as well.

I was staying at a hotel right across the street and after a long day, I wandered over to The James Joyce Irish Pub around 10 or 11 p.m. looking for a late dinner and a cocktail or two. It turned out to be the perfect decision. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was welcomed by the lively, cozy atmosphere. There was live music playing that night, and when I sat down, the band was on intermission, so the speakers filled the room with upbeat 80s R&B, rock, and pop. It created such a fun vibe, nostalgic, energetic, and just what I needed to unwind. I ordered the Volta cocktail and ended up having two. It was perfectly balanced, wonderfully made, and had just the right kick. For food, I went with a classic: fish and chips. Let me tell you, I could have eaten just the fries and tartar sauce by themselves. That's how flavorful and delicious they were. The fish was fried to absolute perfection, crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. Everything hit the spot. If you're ever in the Harbor East area, especially staying nearby, don't sleep on this spot. Late night comfort, great drinks, and solid vibes. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Baltimore.

Great Irish pub and restaurant just round the corner from Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore. Ryan recommended me Baltimore crab cake, which was fantastic - I would say, the most delicious of all the ones I have tasted up to now. Friendly service and vivid pub ambiance. I would come back here to check out also some of the other menu items such as stuffed lamb leg.

This was our second time at this restaurant. It comes in clutch when it's late night, and they're the only ones serving real food. They had some live music playing that night which added to the fun vibe. Our waiters were pretty flexible and quick to respond. The food was good; not much stood out, but nothing to complain about either. We would go again.

As you can tell I love French onion soup so am I biased it was sweet and savior and the cheese was awesome!!! I need this back in Chicago delicious. I wish I could try other dishes I am watching them come out they look delicious. I am fluffy but can't eat that much sorry. The inside is pretty cool all old wood and super clean. As a long time shepherds pie connoisseur I had to stop by. The staff was very accommodating, moving tables for our larger party. The vibes are giving the right amount of Irish pub and the menu is well curated. Well, how's the pie you might ask. Was it magical, everything I hoped and dreamed it would be? Almost. I prefer a more minced beef but the flavors delivered. The portion sizes are huge, so be mindful when ordering. Drinks are mixed well, you can order off the menu with no issues. Overall great spot.

Finding a parking spot on the street outside will be tough but if one likes Irish pub food with live music, coming here will be worth it. When Diane and I entered late at night after driving to Dover, Delaware and back, we were greeted by two men strumming guitars onstage while singing Irish ballads. Both very hungry, we settled into the chairs at the dining table we were assigned; swiftly ordered food; and soon afterward I gobbled down four halves of zesty Irish Deviled Eggs with Red Wine Vinaigrette. Then we both made quick work of our individual orders of Fish & Chips, made with great Hake couched inside a battered crust that held in the heat. The Fries were also excellent. And we received friendly and very competent service from our server, Hilary P.

    Crab Cake and Broccoli

I came here for dinner last night and LOVED it! Authentic Irish pub food and drinks! I got the crab cake which was absolutely delicious and the broccoli side was perfect! My friend got the roast beef dip and the portion was massive but the sandwich was delicious as well! Staff and resturaunt were wonderfully friendly, organized and clean! Definitely a must visit when in the harbor!

What a fun Irish restaurant in Harbor East! We stopped in for dinner and had the best time and the food was good also! Staff were friendly from host to server to the live band that came on. We tried the Irish Beer Flight which was a fun way to taste all 4 of their Irish brews. The scotch egg was amazing, savory and paired well with the tangy frisée salad. The wedge salad is HUGE and our server recommended the blackened chicken which was yummy. Oysters were also delicious and we got the French onion soup and that was great also. No misses on food or drink here!

Ended up here on a beautiful spring night after an event on The Constellation at the Inner Harbor. It was late on a Tuesday night, but this place was packed! I had not been here since Atlas took it over and, boy, could I tell a difference in the atmosphere, cuisine and service. Excellent experience all around. The Fish n Chips with Fries was delicious, as was the whiskey flight. Exceptional service. I cannot remember her name, but she was extremely attentive and friendly. I will definitely return here in the future. Those Fish n Chips are already summoning me back. Yummers!

    Great drink options!

I thoroughly enjoyed James Joyce! From the live music to the great food and drinks, it's a great spot to relax and unwind with friends and family. Service was spot on too, they went above and beyond to snag us a larger table when more people decided to join us. They also displayed perfect timing for topping off drinks and checking it on what we needed. 10/10 I highly recommend!

A group of colleagues and I visited James Joyce for a happy hour. Because there was going to be 8 of us, the hostess sat us at a table near the front windows. The Pub had great atmosphere and was very welcoming. We were disappointed when the waitress informed us that happy hour specials only applied to customers at the bar, so all of our orders at the table were ineligible for the discount - which defeated the purpose of going here for happy hour. The restaurant also applied an automatic 20% gratuity since we were a group of 8, which is fine since the service was acceptable, but I felt like every approach was intended to make me spend as much money as possible. The food was really good. I had the "chicken fingers" and fries which cost $19 and was one of the more affordable options on the menu. I Also had two tall rum and diet cokes throughout the course of our stay. My total bill for two rum and cokes, the chicken fingers and fries, and the 20% gratuity was $57. James Joyce was nice and the staff and manager were friendly, but it was extremely expensive for a happy hour. I'll be more cognizant of the price the next time I visit this pub.

The crab cake was flavorful and well-made, the hollandaise was rich and on point, and the grits completely surprised me in the best way. They were incredibly flavorful with what tasted like a horseradish style sauce mixed in, which added a great kick. Easily some of the best grits I've had. I also tried the Scotch eggs that my friend ordered. I normally hate sausage, but these were shockingly good crispy, well-seasoned, and not overly heavy. The mimosa was exactly what it should be simple and refreshing. Champagne and orange juice never fails. Total bill came to $35.25, which is definitely on the pricier side, but this is Baltimore and pretty much in line with what I expected for quality brunch and drinks in this area. The vibe is classic Irish pub dark wood, Irish scarves and flags, and a really cool display of fire department patches on the walls. It felt authentic and cozy without trying too hard. Overall, great food, solid drinks, and a strong brunch option if you're in Fells Point. I'd absolutely come back.

Great old-school bar, Great music every day!…read more We are always happy when we can catch a band at Cats Eye Pub in Fells Point Baltimore. Lots of rock and some americana. We were even happier to catch a blues band the other day! (Jun 2026). Charlie Owen & Pocket Change gave a great performance, with some well-known songs and a number of good more-obscure ones. It's fun when they feature one or another band member for a riff. We also love the divey character of the bar, while the crowd is more hip than divey. It's dark and gets crowded. The stools at the bar and by the windows always fill up. The ones along the wall come and go. The dance floor is usually packed. There's a room in back with a few tables, too, and you can hear the band from there, too. The bar has a full selection. They have around two dozen beers on tap, mostly crafts, some standards. Morgan pulled us a Snowball Sour draft from Dundalk's Key Brewing. It was smooth and creamy, only lightly sour, a fairly mild flavor, but well-balanced and pleasant. Steven served us a Banhez Mezcal, nicely flavored, rather mild in that trend to over-refine the bite out of agave spirits. He brought out a tequila that he likes, though i dont recall the name, also smooth and not bitey. We ended with a pure shot of Absolut Peppar, normally an ingredient to add some spice to bloody marys. On its own, there really is no spice, just the dark and slightly bitter bite of jalapeño and black pepper. We love Cat's Eye Pub! It's one of very few spots for blues in Baltimore.

We quickly found the Guinness Harp table in an alcove. Staff came by right away and were quite friendly. Food was excellent, very hearty and tasty. A couple of us got the shepherd's pie and one got the fish & chips. Now, the fun part. It was after the lunch rush, so less busy. We wanted to get some photos of us in our ren clothes in this very ren-style place.
