Our organization rented out the GameOn Arcade bar for an evening event during our conference. We stayed at the Graduate hotel so the location was so convenient. The atmosphere was o fun and unique and all of our attendees loved playing the games. The bar menu + the variety was such a hit - so many fun drinks but the classics as well. The Game On staff were helpful and responsive in our planning process and their onsite staff were accommodating to our every need. The pizza and nachos they provided were delicious! GameOn is a chain that has four locations: one in DC, Downtown Annapolis, Baltimore City (Fed Hill), and Columbia. This location is pretty solid. It has a little outdoor area with some seating which is good since this location is small and doesn't have a ton of indoor seating beyond the bartop. The arcade game selection of these three locations is in my opinion the weakest of the four locations. But the options are decent and provides a few hours of fun. There's also only one bar in this location as some of the others like Columbia and DC have two bars. However this location does offer a private karaoke option which is great since a private karaoke room is uncommon in that area. Which makes this location stand out. And with the other locations the drink menu is incredible though each location varies slightly. Like the shot o'clock wheel at Annapolis allows you to spin the wheel instead of the bartender spins it. read more

Game On is a cool spot in Annapolis, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. While the drink menu looks expansive, it was very limited for me- as I don't like very sweet drinks- same with food, there weren't many options. They have a nice selection of video games and pin ball machines, but typical of a barcade a lot of machines either had a long wait- & the others ate my quarters- it didn't feel easy to get a machine or replace quarters. The save of the night was actually a group there before us over bought tokens & didn't want to use them so we got about $13 in free games, which was why we stayed longer, otherwise we were ready to pivot after a few games & one drink. read more

came here with my cousin and his gf while visiting maryland they've been here before and thought it was nice to go visit since it's near the downtown area we parked on the side street a block away which was free (you can park on the main street but you do have to pay metered parking) the venue itself is a bit on the smaller side. nice nostalgic feeling with the old games but it didnt' have that much variety and felt very cramped. they even have a happy hour so if you go after a certain time it's adults only and kids aren't allowed to go in i like the thought of the venue but can't see myself spending more than an hour here, felt overplayed/bored after playing most of the games. overall, i recommend this place if people want to reminisce and play arcade games; places like this are rare so it was still a treat to experience; however i don't see myself coming back unless i'm feeling nostalgic read more

I wanted to be happy here because these are my absolute favorite types of bars, and it's my birthday. I'll take the loss thinking this is anything like places I've been in the past. Usually I'll wait for a second visit but I know we won't be back. As soon as we walked in and saw super intoxicated mom with three kids running around, I should have known it wasn't a place for us. The bartender spoke with us when she finished on her phone then I ordered a drink and we got tokens. I started at a pinball machine and was immediately approached by a woman that said they had a pinball league. She wasn't inviting us, she was telling us to move because we were on the marching they needed to use. Not sure how this is allowed since it pushed us out quickly. After that we played Guitar Hero, I finished my one drink and we were done. Besides, the "league" proceeded to use a bullhorn during their play time. I was so done. We went to pay the tab and again waited for the bartender who was in the middle of a sandwich. Overall, no. After $4 parking, $10 tokens, and one $19.44 drink, we went someplace else to have birthday fun. I'm so bummed because I had high hopes for this place. read more

Came across this bar as I was looking for a fun night cap. This arcade and bar combo has drinks, snacks, and games is a one stop shop for fun. The drinks are whimsical and fun. They are remind you of your childhood with drinks like capri sons and slushies. The games are retro. You can play pinball, Tetris, PacMan, and so much more! They are token based. I always appreciate a good Bar-Cade and when I saw this spot I knew I had to give it a try! On first glance, I found it interesting you had a different token amount per game. I thought they would all be the same amount but some were 1 token, while some were up to 4 tokens. A dollar is equivalent to four tokens so keep that in mind. The beer selection was also pretty decent. The game selection is fine, they have a variety of different games from pinball varieties, to skeeball, basketball and a bunch of classics like Q-Bert, Frogger, Mortal Kombat and Pac-Man. I wish I had more time to stay a little longer but unfortunately I didn't but from the time I got to spend inside I enjoyed it. They also have great hours and open pretty late so if you are bored and not sure what to do on a night in Annapolis I would definitely recommend checking out GameOn. Just make sure you have cash on you as the machines need that to dispense coins to play the various games. read more

It can get packed at night, but definitely still a fun place just to hang out and have adult capri suns or beers! This is a cute spot in downtown Annapolis that I stopped at with my kids. It's not a massive arcade or have as many options as many other bar arcades that I've been to. With that said, the kids loved it. And during the day, it's the perfect setting for them to run around, scream their heads off and get out that energy while papa has a cocktail! The service was fast and efficient at the bar. I mean, it was mostly kids so the place didn't have a ton of adults when I visited on the weekend during the day. The kids there were mostly teenagers, but they were mostly well behaved and very loud like my little ones. They have skeeball, which was such the hit for my kids. They spent a good 30 minutes on one game since they had the hardest time getting it over the barrier. So it was a cheap day out at the arcade! read more

I love love love this stop! Coming here randomly after work one day, I had no idea what I was really going to walk into. Bright lights, dope décor, nostalgic games and laughter greeted as at the door. Along with Taylor, the best bartender in Annapolis! He was so so sweet, and attentive - explaining his favorite drinks, how long this location has been around, their $5/spin drink roulette game and how the kitchen doesn't exist. To answer that, there are 'finger foods' to select from, meaning noodles, pizza, fruit roll ups, chips, etc. But overall yes, a great spot. Bring your quarters and your basketball skills. My first time there, I was there for the entire Thursday Night Game, and next time will probably do the same - this time, with a pizza. :) read more

This place gives off all retro nostalgia vibes, so many different games to play. The drink menu was nice and very affordable and as far as the food menu wasn't big but very good for an arcade bar I had a whole pepperoni pizza movie style popcorn and both amazing it didn't take long for it to be made the presentation was great as well. Popped in on my partner's day off from Baltimore for an Annapolis day trip! we came in here for a beverage at happy hour. The bartender was above and beyond. She was a lovely girl and I can't believe I forgot her name but she was great and even wrote down the recipe for an amazing spicy margarita she made for me. Like, at a place like this you'd think the bar is just a cute feature but the drinks themselves were an experience and she was super informative. She really made the night even better. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of paid street parking. The arcade was pretty small. It was busy and crowded but not overly crowded. We didn't have to wait long to play any games. It was fun playing all the old games like mortal combat. They had some other games like basketball. There was a bar and I can see folks spending a few hours there drinking but without drinking, we were ready to go in about a hour. Overall it was a fun and different experience. read more

Game on!!! The Maryland barcade scene is alive and well, and I love to see it! I decided to go with a friend one night, and the first thing I noticed walking in was the wall art and decor. It had a really cool, artistic and retro vibe to it. Whoever drew or designed it... well done, seriously! The place is relatively small, so it was crowded. The fact that arcade machines are basically right in your face as soon as you walk in contributes to that. The crowd is definitely young here, which isn't a surprise -- but the vibe is just FUN! The bar itself is relatively small, but my my have they got some interesting drinks! It goes without saying that they all have video game-themed names, which I love. From Donkey Kong to Princess Peach, they're colorful and have weird ingredients like electrolytes in one of them... but I will say that the drinks primarily skew on the sweeter side. Another cool aspect is the wheel. It's a wheel of shots -- for a couple of bucks, you could get a clever shooter, or a rail shot... it's quite a gamble! But it made it even more fun. There is also food, but just mainly pizza. There are even more games on the other floors, and karaoke rooms on the top one. Now that might be fun to tackle one of these days. The games are 50 cents and up to play -- I'll be back for sure! read more

Been here a few more times now and I like it. I get it now. In a town filled with pubs, clubs and crowded live music bars at night, this place is different. It's chill. You can come with a friend, play a few games and just kind of relax a bit without having to wait 3 deep for a drink or get knocked around in a pub thick with patrons. The games are mostly all retro and at all price points. There are some of those play-any-legacy-game all-in-one machines for a quarter, some are 50 cents, most of the larger stuff and the pinball is $1 a game. But, if you are just relaxing, then getting 10 or 20 dollars worth of quarters is the money you would have spent on a couple drinks anywhere else in town, but here you can play games for an hour. The beer selection isn't deep, but there is at least one of any style you would like and they have canned cocktails/seltzers in addition to a full bar. I haven't tried any of the cocktails, I get the sense the quality of your drink here will depend a lot on the bartender but if you are walking around at games a canned drink is better anyway. There is a small bar so you can also belly up to that and hang out as well. So, now I like it. On my first visit I admit I was disappointed, but I was expecting something different. However, what's different is that there is nothing in town like this. If you are walking around on a date and want to stop in something a little quiter, but still dark enough where it feels like a late night at a bar, check it out. If you are coming for the latest arcade games, this isn't the place. This is the place, though, if you enjoyed arcades as a kid and now want to revisit that again, but with a drink. Or don't. Just sink quarters and blast spaceships. read more

First - how nice to have a neighborhood arcade and game place. So cool. My company had a game night there and we had a blast. Also, if you're a teetotaler, the mocktail menu is amazing. Shout out to Taylor (bartender) and Cheyenne (manager) for going ABOVE AND BEYOND trying to find my ring that I hurled playing (badly) the hoop game. (Tip: take off all rings before playing!) They both worked really hard to find my ring and special thanks to Cheyenne for literally climbing INTO the machine to find my ring. It wasn't found, but I felt so much better knowing that all efforts were made to find it. Really great customer service. And if you live in Annapolis, and you don't want to go to big box places to play arcade games, you need to go to Game On. Period. read more

I have been to several arcade bars. While they are all fun....I mean it's an arcade, they are not all the same. First off....the bartender Taylor was excellent. What a guy. The inside is very cool 80's theme with several old games. While it is a bar, there were kids; like little kids in there so that was somewhat surprising. The prices were a little more expensive than the others but it is a bar in Annapolis so not a big surprise. As for the games...they were the most expensive of all I have ever been to. Most are Pat by the hour/day or a quarter a piece. These were mostly $1/game with some being a little less. Food was really expensive especially for what it was but I guess if you're hungry enough it's no biggie. While there are better arcade bars this one is still work a stop if you are in the area. Wednesdays are half price tokens and discounted drinks. Also...spin the shot wheel for $5 and see what ya get! read more

Round two was much better. No lame bartender that wouldn't serve. Actually a lot of bartenders ready to serve. Most games working, no issue with machines stealing quarters. Went for a happy hour on Friday back in March. The place is quite small and gets crowded easily. They have decent range of games, but not a lot of them. Didn't try the food. The drinks were sweet but a little weak(adult capri sun and Mai tai). Tip, parents don't bring your kids it's too small. read more

Not only do I get to enjoy the games that they have- mega pac man and the basketball shoot out, personal favorites- the whacky drinks is the true call to action for me. The s'mores old fashion and big Bertha, both in the pictures attached, are fantastic. Needless to say, they have a great concept and something that can't easily be found in the area. No, it's not a 5 floor bar arcade with 1,000,001 arcade games everywhere. Yet, they make do with the space that's available and you have a good time while you're there. Second time visiting this place and it's a lot of fun. Growing up I used to go to the arcade after school all the time. Definitely let's you bring out that inner kid. The staff is friendly and the drinks are good. Don't play as many games this time as I was there with coworkers. We ended up playing one of the card games they had. It was still a lot of fun and I'll definitely be back. Couple of things to note: they only offer cheese and pepperoni pizza for food options and the games seem to break often. I'm guessing since they are older games and machines, the maintenance/upkeep for them is a lot. read more

Kinda disappointed. I won a $75 gift card here and was excited to try out the arcade but I wasn't able to use it to get coins, it could only be used for food/drinks. My husband and I weren't going to spend that much in one afternoon so I was annoyed they couldn't transfer the giftcard to game tokens. I am visiting here on holiday, and I stumbled across this bar by accident. I love game bars, so I was intrigued. However, what really drew me in was a big sign outside the bar that indicated Wednesday offered $4 beers and a half-price game night. I was immediately sold! This sign was the sole reason that I came to this bar last Wednesday. After ordering my beers, I inquired about the half price games, the bartender proceeded to tell me that there were no half-price games as it was only for the first 20 customers. I mean WTF?!?! I was really pissed as this was blatantly bait and switch false advertising. I only stayed for one beer with my guest as I was pretty angry after schlepping through the rain and ultimately decided to leave. I had ordered two of the $4 beers as advertised. Now get this, when my bill came, it totaled over $15. Again....seriously?!?! I indicated to the bartender that there was a problem with the bill. She apologized and took some time to make a correction. I am glad that I actually looked at my bill before paying. This place is obviously run by criminals, between the false advertising and the fraudulent billing, I was totally disgusted. So the message here is that I would avoid this bar at all costs.
