We came here for lunch for the first time and it was fantastic. The crab dip was okay, it was too creamy for my taste and I wish it was more chunky but the crab chunks on top were delicious and the flavor was good. The crab cakes were AMAZING. I would love to find a copycat recipe and make them at home. I will come back here for more crab cakes. They were so lumpy with little filler. The service was quick and friendly. I wanted so badly to give this 4 stars but I just can't. I walked in on a completely random Monday night and the place was dead. I got exceptional service from Erin. She made great recommendations and poured an excellent dark and stormy. Their bar selection is good, but that's not why you're here. The food was beyond any expectation I could have. It's a dark, hole in the wall type bar, small and quaint and right on the water. You'd walk by on a summer day and not even look twice. You should. This was hands down the best crab cake I've had in my life. Loaded with huge chunks of crab, seasoned well and somehow it didn't fall apart. I was the served a cup of clam chowder that was out of this world good. Again, big pieces of fresh seafood, piping hot, seasoned very well. My main was the fried chicken sandwich and it was amazingly well done. That kitchen knows what it's doing. If I could knock them on anything it would be the siracha mayo on the chicken.. needs more punch in my opinion... more siracha, less mayo, but I love spicy. Even the fries were damn good! For the price, drink, two apps, and a main with tip for $75 it doesn't get much better. I'd come again just for the service. Heck.. if the chicken was bad it still would have gotten 5 stars for the crab cake and chowder alone. I'll be back again.. maybe tomorrow and the next day. read more

Great tuna. Bartenders were attentive and able to serve quickly. Smalll but fun and good place to watch sports.

We visited on a Tuesday night. Took the free public transport bus from our hotel and it was just a short walk to the place. The place was pretty packed due to an event in the upstairs portion. It was very loud and the same game was showing on four different TV screens. Our waiter was also the bartender, so he definitely had his hands full, but he was extremely rude to us as we ordered. I got the crab dip and a Moscow Mule. The crab dip was delicious and had nice lumps of meat in it, but the drink was pretty terrible, I could not finish that. I would like to give this place another try when they aren't so crowded. One note of caution...the sidewalk in front of the location is not very level, so just watch your step when it's dark and you've been drinking. read more

Casual dining with outdoor seating. We ordered several to go meals to take on the boat. We ordered inside and waited at the outdoor seating 15 minutes for our meals. I got the crab-cake sandwich $28 which came with curly fries. The crab-cake was full of lump and was generous in size and who doesn't like curly fries. The dipping sauce was a type of honey mustard. I didn't use much of it because a good crab-cake shouldn't need anything. It should be seasoned well enough to stand alone. This crab-cake was good and meaty but it could have used a bit more seasoning for my taste. The fish and chips $15 were very good and the dip was a nice spicy addition and also included curly fries. We love Dock Street. It's the old city jail, so great old town ambiance. They have a great selection of local beers. The food is outstanding. The chili with corn bread is a must when they have it on special. The tuna steak sandwich is a hunk of fish and tasty medium rare. A fair amount of TVs for sports and the music is always playing. read more

Stumbled upon this place during a Ladies Night out as we were heading back to the car. No one was truly ready for the night to end so we took a gander... more like jig lol. Paid our $5 entry fee and was marked to enter. It wasn't super crowded at first but as the night went on it was quite stuffy. A wedding party, people from the navel academy I mean every one from the nut to the sauce was in here. The upstairs was super crowded and the bathroom lines were long all the time. I had three drinks all which were horrible hence the 3 stars. Was doing a tour next door at the Naval Academy and had a craving for a good Maryland crab cake. Yelped "crab cakes" and this place came up. It's a nice bar and grill just outside the gates to the Academy. Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially since we had some kids in tow. Ended up ordering one of the crab cakes (listed as market price, which ended up being $25 for the appetizer plate). Everyone else ended up ordering a bunch of starters. When the crab cake came out, it was gigantic and was mostly crab meat. I've had other crab cakes that were mostly filler such as breading and other things. There was a delicious sauce that it was set on top of with a light dusting of Old Bay. Appreciate the fact that this wasn't overwhelmed with Old Bay like other place. The crab cake was the highlight of all the food we ordered. So impressive and delicious. Yelp did us right for this. The other appetizers were good, nothing to write home about. Had a medical episode here, passed out (not due to alcohol) ambulance was called. Was ok, and then asked to leave the bar. They said they had to ask us to leave due to "the medical episode " We were calling our uber and just waiting for them to come and were asked to leave the bar Front door staff and medical staff were fantastic. Bar tender and other workers were unwelcoming. More worried about cleaning up spilled water after than making sure their sick patron was ok. Never will return. read more

In the heart of Marylands capital, the are reminded me of Old Town Alexandria Virginia, just not as busy and again it was a Wednesday evening... We sat down and was greeted by the bar tender with a smile. The music selection wasn't our cup of tea lol but the curly fries were seasoned well and piping hot! The pizza was ok...thin crust pepperoni pizza that brought us back to life. We shared one personal size pizza and it was just enough for us... Abusive and aggressive staff - Avoid this place I was in Annapolis this past weekend visiting a friend for her bridal shower. That night, our group was bar hopping when we stopped into Dock Street Bar & Grill. After ordering drinks, we were standing on the second floor when I noticed a bouncer yelling in my direction. Thinking he was speaking to me, I turned, smiled, and said, "Oh, I thought you were talking to me." Without warning, the bouncer screamed, "GET the F out of here!!" at me and immediately grabbed me by the arm, yanking me toward the stairs. I was in complete shock--I had done absolutely nothing to warrant this kind of reaction. As I reached for my purse, he continued dragging me away from my friends. I complied silently, trying to de-escalate the situation. To exit the bar, you have to go down a steep flight of stairs. As I was making my way down, the bouncer began shoving and pushing me down the stairs. I am 5'3", 110 lbs, and this was a large, aggressive man physically forcing me out. As a survivor of domestic abuse, this situation was extremely triggering and terrifying. When I confronted the doorman downstairs, I was completely dismissed and told to "file a police report" if I had an issue. After speaking with locals, I learned that this is not an isolated incident. This establishment has a reputation for bouncers behaving aggressively and ejecting people without cause. When we first arrived, the bar was mostly empty--despite it being peak hours--which makes sense given the way customers are being treated. Dock Street Bar & Grill is unsafe and poorly managed. Situated in a prime spot right next to the harbor, I knew I had to give this place a try. My plan was to get a few drinks and grab a bite. I ordered a burger, thinking surely a bar and grill makes a solid burger. The server asked how I wanted my burger cooked, so I told her "medium." My buddy got some cod. The food came out quickly, which was nice. The fries were pretty good, and my buddy's cod was also good. However, when I bit into my burger, it was apparent that the flavor was off. Upon lifting the bun, I realized the burger was nearly blackened from the char of the grill. Well, I see why "grill" is in the name of this place--they must grill it until it's burnt. I had to pick away at it to salvage any edible parts. I can only imagine what their "medium-well" burgers would be like; you could probably use them as hockey pucks. So if you get a burger from here and your server asks how you want it cooked, say "rare," and you might just get a burger you can actually eat! The cherry on top was when the server combined the check between me and my buddy, which isn't the end of the world but still should be asked about first. Nice dive bar located by the docks in Annapolis, hence the name. Visited the Saturday after Thanksgiving so my bf could catch the Ohio State vs. Michigan State football game. We were promptly seated at a high top with good views of the tvs. There were a few people watching that game and others watching World Cup. The servers were friendly except one guy who explained somewhat gruffly clthat this was a dive bar and they don't make Negronis. It wasn't me that asked for a Negroni, this time:p The food they offer is reasonably priced overall. I ordered a meatloaf sandwich even though the crab cake was recommended. The meatloaf was delicious and huge. I took half home. The fries were hot and crispy with some sort of orange coating. I'm not a fan of that and wish I had a side salad instead. Also they don't offer dessert in case you want something sweet. I would recommend for a dive bar experience with reasonable priced food. read more

Cool location. We sat outside over the weekend and it was very lively in the area. Service was a little slower than I liked, but it was incredibly busy and I think one server was working outside and inside. Prices were reasonable for a lunch for my wife and I. Wings were very good. Facebook just reminded me of my memory of going to dock Street in Annapolis. First off what a cool atmosphere downtown Indianapolis is amazing second this bar restaurant is amazing old school and original. I went there the first time I visited Annapolis and got the crab chowder and crab cakes. They did not disappoint. Absolutely amazing food crab cakes seemed like 95% crab. The crab shatter was creamy delicious and filled with crab. I enjoyed it so much when my wife came to visit me on a business trip we drove an hour and a half out of our way just to go check it out. She also said the crab cake and crab chowder was the best she'd ever had. I don't remember the service the bathroom was super tiny and weird and I could care less I loved every second in this bar.
