Food is not up to authority onion soup, no cheese what the hell i've had onion soup hundreds of time and usually it's covered with Greer cheese and spilling over the bowl

    Prime Rib French Dip Sandwich

The first time here at Twains...came on a Tuesday evening, and there was trivia too! It's a very nice crowd here... three pool tables, lots of screens, a steady flow of customers making it lively. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip, oh my...I love the way it was presented and tasted. It was just so good. Think Prime Rib sliced into a hero, added the caramelized onions, and provolone cheese melted over it...au jus on the side, and what a perfect dinner for me. The trivia was fun, and I learned from it, a wonderful end to a Tuesday night.

I came here for lunch one afternoon and to play some pool. They have 3 coin-operated pool table ($1/game). To drink, I had an Orange Crush ($8), Loose Cannon on draft ($4), and Guinness Blonde ($5.50), also on draft. To eat, I had gotten the Ahi Tuna ($12.99) which came with a seaweed salad in the side. Unfortunately, the tuna was dry and way over cooked. I had to send the dish back and decided to try something else. They did not have their Beast Burger in stock, so I opted for their Classic Burger ($9.99) with Jalapeños (an extra 50¢). It came with Old Bay Chips, which were delicious. The waitress had asked me how I wanted my burger cooked and I said medium rare. Again, to my despair, it came out over cooked (well done) and the bottom bun was soggy. I am giving Twain's Tavern 3 stars because there are faults in the cooking of the dishes at this Tavern. My first dish, the tuna was over cooked so I had to send it back. My second order, the burger was well done when I ordered medium rare. Nonetheless, the service was great. The server, Knopp (?), was very kind and understanding. She kept coming back to check if we needed more drinks or anything else. The pool tables are also well spaced out and in good shape.

Huge place with indoor and outdoor bars and seating. They often have live music on the weekends which draws a giant local crowd. For that reason, I am not the biggest fan. I don't go often but if I do I aim for the less busy times.

I called to place the order, and the guy couldn't hear me. When I called back, there was silence on the line until I said "hello" a few times, followed by a blunt "Yeah, what can I do for you?" slightly off-putting, but I placed the order. When I arrived, the place was empty and looked clean. The food was ready, and I was in and out quickly. As for the food: The Fries: These were excellent. They were hot, well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I really enjoyed them. The Burger: This was the letdown. I got the Black & Bleu, and while the toppings (bleu cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, brioche bun) were fresh and tasty, the meat itself was lackluster. They looked like two smash patties, but they had zero crust and absolutely no seasoning. No salt, no pepper, nothing. Honestly, if it weren't for the toppings, the burger would have been hard to eat because the meat was just plain and bland. I ate it because I was hungry, but for a "Pub and Ale House," the burger really needs to be seasoned properly. Between the awkward service and the flavorless patties, I can only give it 2 stars.

I was seated immediately, and the wait staff was personable, attentive, and made the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. The food was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. I was especially impressed by the variety on the menu. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or a devoted meat lover, there's truly something for everyone. It's rare to find a place that caters so well to different dietary preferences without compromising on quality. I didn't order any alcoholic beverages this time, but their beer selection looked great, with plenty of appealing options for a future visit. Overall, Oscar's Alehouse delivered a wonderful lunch experience, and I'll definitely be returning.

My server, Travis, was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right throughout my visit. I started with a cup of French onion soup, and it was so good that I came back today just to order another cup. That alone says a lot. Yesterday I also ordered the Eldersburg Burger, cooked medium-well, paired with their hand-cut fries. This burger was juicy and flavorful--honestly tasted like something you'd get at a family cookout. The fries were delicious and complemented the burger perfectly. I also have to mention the sweet iced tea--it tastes fresh-brewed and has the perfect balance of sweetness. Today, even though I wasn't very hungry, I tried the crab dip. While it wasn't my absolute favorite, it was still good. I also sampled the carrot cake, which unfortunately was a bit dry for my liking. That said, I'll definitely be back--especially on Mondays, when burgers are $8 (with toppings at $1 each, and totally worth it). My server today also let me know about Wing Wednesday: 1 lb of wings for $8, any flavor. Say less! I'm already planning another visit so I can finally try the cream of crab soup, which is made daily. Can't wait to see if it lives up to the hype. Overall, Oscar's Alehouse delivers solid food, great service, and awesome weekly specials. See you soon!
