Went in today to buy a PS5 and the associate at the counter was extremely unfriendly, he looked as if he could be the manager, wearing a blue button shirt. He was condescending and rude when asking which options they had in stock. Very short as if our business was bothersome to him, and as if he had better things to be doing. Gamestop - Tell Me You Hate Your Customers Without Telling Me You Hate Your Customers Placed an order online for pickup at this location a week before Christmas. The very next day I realized I had already ordered the game on Amazon, whoops. I try canceling my order online and the website says it cannot find my order even though I copy and pasted the order# from their email confirmation. I even tried rekeying it in, just in case it wasn't recognizing the characters from copy/paste. No such luck. I call the store where I am to pick it up and they tell me I have to call the 1-800 customer service number to cancel. I call, no one answers. I try again the next day. Same thing. I wait until the day after Christmas and sit on hold for 31 minutes, nobody picks up at the customer service number. I call this location back and a very apathetic store employee tells me again that I have to call the 1-800 #. I explain how many attempts I've made and how that's not working. So he says I'll have to come in. I explain that I live 30 min away. I offer to give him the order # and verify any personal data needed so he can look it up, to which he says "The order number won't help." Huh? I then ask him to confirm the game I ordered is even physically there. He says it's not and asks me "are you sure it was this location?" I'm literally staring at their email confirmation and read off his store's address to him. Finally, his manager overheard me getting upset with him on the phone. The manager hops on the line and in less than 30 seconds finds my order and cancels it. So either......the store employees are allergic to doing work or they are not adequately trained on how to process basic transactions like returns. I've been going to Gamestop for years. I've never really had wow moment when shopping at their stores. This review is definitely for this store but also can be applied to all the gamestop that have been around the Renton/Tukwila area. Gamestop employees are usually awkward people. I've never seen one upbeat. They answer questions with the most basic of responses. I've just never seen an employee go above and beyond. They've never went the extra mile to recommend a product. Good customer service has a certain vigor and warmth to it. Gamestop is cold as ice. Compared to other stores gamestop return policy is outdated. Trading in games is a fruitless venture. Games are decently priced but not much better than anyone else. They are below average 2/5. read more

Just like the rating says, it's A-OK! There isn't anything really wrong with this location. It's convenient only if you're already at the mall. Otherwise, there is a larger location like .3 miles away. And since this particular location is on the small side, it can get really crowded. I was there this past Saturday in the afternoon and there was a line at the register over 7 customers long. And that line alone took up most of the room in the store that other customers would want for browsing. I found it difficult to really look at all the things I wanted to see without being in someone's way. On the other hand, it was clean and pretty well-organized for a busy GameStop. And, I found it to be quite convenient that the Nintendo Switch games were right at the front of the store. I don't know if this is a store-wide requirement or not. But I sure appreciated it because I'm not looking for PS or XBOX games. And I wouldn't have wanted to try to get deeper into that store to get to the Switch games. Especially because my fiance and I tend to take quite a bit of time looking at games, lol. So yea, not the best location. But convenient when you're at the mall! read more

Really disappointed by this game stop. I came in here contemplating buying one of the new DS consoles and wanted to browse around. It's a busy Saturday and they only have one man working there. There is a long line of customers. The store is super messy, and the only consoles in general I see for sale are pre-owned stuff. Somebody else happened to also want to buy a DS and asked the dude about it when it was their turn. The employee went in the back and pulled out 2 used ones. Really?! That's ALL you have?
