I left several messages to set up followup appt. through front desk computer clerk, still no return calls for my necessary CPAP supplies! It was the worst customer service that I ever had. I paid for a wheelchair with hard cash, that the assistant stated that she had on inventory. Comes to find out. She never had the wheelchair on inventory and was telling me that I would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for a wheelchair. When I requested for my money back to go to another store. She tell me that she could not give me hard cash because it was sent to corporate in Pennsylvania; and I would have to wait two to three weeks for my money to be returned to me. After my father was taken by the mortuary, All of the equipment stayed in his apartment for 5 days To this Date!!! A hospital bed, a table, an oxygen concentrator and two other machines.? Why did you do this horrible, incomprehensible thing to us??? To leave my father's death bed in his rental.? The tech who helped me was really good! Then after a week, I wanted to try the full mask and went to pick it up. I needed to use the restroom and figure they would allow me since I was a customer but the girl at the front desk tells me they don't have a public restroom. If I'm a customer, I don't see what the problem is with that. I'm not just walking off the street into their business to use the restroom. SMDH! While at sea inbound to Maui, I discovered I left my CPAP mask at home. After finding them on Google, I made contact with PCP in Phx and asked them to send an RX to Gammie HomeCare in Maui. Mikala responded while I was still on the ship. While coming into port I was able to make phone contact with them and arranged to pick up my mask while in port. While recently vacationing on Kauai, some leg mobility issues I have flared up and I realized without a wheelchair I would not be able to enjoy the island as planned. We rented a Mobi chair for my father in law from Gammie for our stay in Kehei Maui. We opted to have them deliver to the hotel and boy am I glad we did. Although this chair would break down to pretty small if you had the time, I'm positive we could not have fit it in the car with the three of us and all our luggage. The chair was not at our hotel when we arrived but after a call to Gammie they kicked it into high gear and the chair was delivered within the hour. At that point we were on our way out so the delivery guy teamed up with one of the hotel employees to get the chair to our room, that was cool. The Mobi chair is pretty awesome in that it allows someone with zero mobility to enjoy the ocean or the pool. Of course it requires the help of able bodies to get that chair across the beach and into the water. Where this chair became a pain in the ass was it's overall size when assembled (it's huge). At least one floaty had to be removed to fit into an elevator and even then it was a serious shoe horn operation. There is no way it would fit through a standard door way. It had to be partially disassembled to get it into the room and that's without the passenger. All in all it was worth it but this really is meant for the beach only. I'm in no hurry to take dad on vacation again any time soon but I'm glad that he got to experience a swim in the ocean and it would not be possible without the Mobi and Gammie. read more

This is really the only place for medical supplies. Unfortunately, I think they use that and charge a bit more. I know what ever we need will cost us. Not everyone knows they rent new and used wheelchairs and they even have the " beach/Sand" Wheel Chairs for rent. When a patient has a total knee, they need a cold pac to reduce the swelling. It really helps. They have them here in varied sizes. I buy them here so we can loan them out. The crew is very nice and really helped me yesterday on a minor problem. Mahalo. Gammie is Maui's quintessential business for all things health device-related. From grab bars to wheelchairs to toilet seat risers to knee scooters, they sell and rent them all. EXPERIENCE: The spouse had foot surgery and was in need of a knee scooter which spawned this review. The scooter was ordered and I went in to pick it up. I was immediately greeted by one of the gals. It took quite a while for the paperwork to be processed but that gave me the chance to look around the showroom at the different things they sold. She brought the scooter out and gave me a hands-on demonstration on its use which was great but do you think I could help fix a loose handle bar that occurred? Absolutely not LOL. The scooter was needed for about a month so luckily it was available for rent rather than paying $300+ to purchase one. There was a small automatic billing snafu for the scooter even after it was returned but the situation was remedied. OVERALL: Injuries and getting old is inevitable to us all. My pulmonologist Dr. Mitchell and his staff recommended her and she has been extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We used their services to drop off and pickup a motorized scooter for my Mom. Being able to order online makes it easier to setup before you arrive. The only downside is no weekend service so it could create a challenge depending on where you stay and you may not get a full week. read more

Everyone has been very pleasant and helpful...especially during crazy pandemic. You can rest assured, they take it very serious and I watched them make sure people were at least 6' and constantly wiping things down. It all started with phone conversations with Shannon who guided me on what to do because I'm pretty much clueless about everything. Michelle checked me in and there was a sign that read, "please be patient, i'm training" but she was very nice and did not seem to be training. Michael Messmore sized me for my new cpap mask and it made me feel like the previous place, which will be unnamed, did not do a great job bc I constantly suffered from air leaks from improper fitting. My 5 star review is mainly from Michael though. I expected a straightfoward, boring visit but he made it fun and I liked that he takes the extra time to go over the fitting and instructions. Since Gammie is pretty much the only game in town on Maui, finding a wheelchair for rent without them is probably moot. When my father came to live with me, I ran down on Christmas eve to get a wheelchair to rent for the holiday. They asked if I wanted a new chair or if a used chair was OK. I said the used chair was fine. They said they would file the paperwork with Medicare but I paid the first month as we needed the chair now. (I was later told that Medicare had denied the claim. I don't believe it.) I was told at the time of rental if I wanted to purchase this used chair, it would be $396 and my rental fees would apply to the purchase price. After three months we decided to purchase, to get rid of the $100/month rental fee. When they called back with the purchase estimate, I was told the purchase price was over $600. They said it wasn't really a used chair. If you are looking to buy a wheelchair, I would suggest going to Longs (where they have a transport chair for $179) or getting a free one from either of the hospice groups, Hospice Maui or Islands Hospice. Apria also rents chairs I think, along with oxygen. Anyone but Gammie. read more

I don't know what I would without Gammies. I live in Monterey, CA and am on oxygen 24/7. My first travel experience was to Maui. I called Gammies and spoke to Serena who place my order for all I need such as my prescription, the concentrator, oxygen tanks etc. She assured me they would be delivered to our condo. Once we landed we stopped by Gammies so I could get on an oxygen tank and get off my battery operated tank. I spoke to Serena in person and we talked about my order which settled my nerves. Once we got to the condo we hooked up everything which made us all set. This yr 10/23 were traveling to Kauai. I called Serena who placed my order for the same oxygen supplies.
