Favorite family jewelry store in the valley. They were friendly and helpful in redesigning my engagement ring. I was very pleased with the end product. They are also working on other items for me. We even received the jewelry quicker than originally promised. They are fair and trustworthy and I would highly recommend them for your jewelry needs. My husband has gone to this jeweler numerous times and said that they gave him exceptional service regarding his watches. My family moved to Ahwatukee back in 1994 and I remember when this place opened. However, I had never checked it out. Since my husband had been 4-5 times recently and always had a positive experience, I thought I'd stop in because I need a new appraisal for my engagement ring and wedding band for the insurance company. Well, I guess I should have brought my husband with me because I certainly didn't receive the kind of service he did (not that I make it a habit to patronize businesses where I feel that I'm not treated properly without a man with me). The first employee I made eye contact with upon entering looked up at me and then returned to looking at her computer- nice. The woman that came over to assist me answered most of my questions by saying she "didn't know", and that I "needed to call in to schedule an appointment" because they were renovating and the owner was busy. No attempt to take a message for the appraiser (she said the owner does the appraisals), or work with me to get the appointment scheduled. She clearly just wanted me to leave asap and kept saying I'd need to call over and over again. She said that an appraisal for each piece was $60, and when I inquired about having 20 pieces of jewelry appraised, she said "that would be 60 times 20" oh gee thank you for that. I have a BA, MA, and a JD, but based off of how I look I guess she felt confident to be smug with me. I have my own business and would be horrified if an employee of mine treated someone how she did. I will gladly continue to buy my jewelry elsewhere and I'm beyond happy that we didn't go with this company for our wedding bands and my engagement ring. I'll also make sure that my husband never returns. In 2024 too many people still haven't learned not to judge a person based on looks. Good luck if you go here. read more

When making any decision with jewelry, you tend to take advice and recommendations from friends and family. I had Ganem recommended to me by a few different people. All of them said great things about their service. After my experience, I would suggest you stay away from Ganem. My wife and I used Ganem to resize a wedding ring. They completed the resize, but upon giving the ring back it was missing a diamond from the bottom on both sides. I brought this to their attention as soon as I saw it, and they replaced it right away. However in their haste, they did not set the diamond properly. Because it fell out shortly after. Fast forward a few months, and the employee who serviced us then called my wife and was incredibly upset and rude because we did not end up buying my wedding band from him. Needless to say he called 5 months after we initially came in to look at a band and after we had already dealt with the missing diamonds. Brought my Tissot T-Touch that I've owned for 17 years in for a new battery. Ganem is listed on the Tissot website as a service center, so I figured it was a safe bet that they'd be able to replace my battery with no problems. I was wrong. While they were able to replace my battery, they didn't exactly use care when opening the watch. I try to take good care of my watches, and I often replace my own batteries, but, I am unwilling to work on my Tissot due to its more advanced movement. After 17 years my Tissot had a nice patina of normal use. Now however, after getting my battery replaced at Ganem I find my caseback and two of the lugs have damage, gouging from where the case opening tool slipped and marred the titanium case and caseback. This is the 4th battery in only 17 years, and every other service from two different jewelers (in two different states) has returned my watch in the same condition it was brought in. But, that's no longer the case after getting it serviced at Ganem. I'm very disappointed with the quality of the service I received, and I definitely won't be back with any other watches from my collection for service. read more

Ganem had been recommended to me by a friend for their great service and cleaning. All seemed fine until my fiancé went to pick up my ring and there was a diamond missing from the band. He immediately turned the car around and brought it back. They had apologized and were embarrassed about the mishap. It made me a bit nervous that one could be so careless as to FORGET to put a diamond back in a ring. Well, a couple weeks later the same exact diamond popped out. I have had no issues with this ring until bringing it to this jeweler. Not sure if they were in a rush to get the diamond back in, but now I have to find a replacement diamond for my wedding ring. my wedding set that ganem sized and soldered in oct 2016 came apart in march 2020 and was unwearable. when i took in to get it fixed, there was no discussion of price to re solder it back toether. I didnt question figured it was warrentied as originally wasnt cheap and i felt shouldn't have come apart. when I went to pick up, was informed repair was $150. different sales person related warrenty was only for a year. wanted wedding set back so I paid but disappointed by this. dont believe ring size/solder should totally come apart in 3.5 years. read more

I typically purchase online and bring my watches in to get sized, which they have always been happy to do for free (very surprising).
