John also noticed that the prongs on the ring had come slightly loose and educated us on checking regularly (and what to check) to ensure the stone stays in place. John was honest with us throughout the process, but respectful of what we needed and wanted for such an important part of our lives. I have used this small shop successfully for minor repairs under the past ownership, and I was impressed by the continued great customer service. I really appreciated the time they took. Unfortunately, when they examined my ring, they noticed the mounting had cracks which could lead to the diamond falling out. (They showed me). The repair would be expensive, but what shocked me was when I was told that a jeweler with different equipment might be able to laser-weld the repair for far less. This was not something I wanted to invest a lot of money in, and I really appreciated their helpfulness and giving me an option.
