I hit the jackpot with this find!!! Absolutely some of the best Indian food I've had. The area is a bit sketchy but it's worth it, lock your car and you'll be fine. I ordered the lamb korma, garlic naan, and a mango lasi and it was all delicious. I did have a little sticker shock when my total was over $30 and with tip $42 but I did order lamb and that's never cheap. The serving size was huge and will certainly feed at least 2 people so really the price was more than fair once I saw the size of the serving. This is officially my new spot for Indian food. read more

I thought the food was pretty good. We ordered the combo platter 3 and 4 and extra garlic naan. The garlic naan is the best. The dishes were fairly runny but had good flavors. They were really busy but the guys working were going as fast as they could. Next time I'd just order something off the regular menu and not off the combo. Some of the items on the combo I did not care for. The veggie things I didn't like. I'd like to stop here again and try some of their other menu items. read more

Lamb in the Korma and curry were so tender and full of flavor. A great amount of meat in it. Chicken curry did not disappoint my mom she loved every bit of it. Rice was perfect. Both naans had so much flavor, so soft, a good size and cooked to perfection. Great bold spices and flavors that complimented each other so well. The mango lassi was amazing! As if I was eating ripe fresh mango right off the tree itself. If you know you know what I'm talking about. The service/host was so welcoming and kind. Picture is Chicken Tikka Masala and butter naan to-go containers, about ~$17.50 before tip. I ordered ahead and was given a 5 to 20 minute wait estimate for my food. I thought this was a strangely variant range, but then they did not start it until I arrived anyway. Upon arriving I went through the normal line and then they just scoop it off the buffet line. I'm glad they waited to scoop it because it stayed hot longer, but there was not in immediately recognizable benefit created by ordering ahead. The Dixie plate was fairly standard, though the plasticware was a little bit flimsy and cheap. I don't feel like I got $17.50 worth of food to be frank. If the Buffet were not by pound, I would come get the buffet probably every week. I don't know if they have done a trade study on the cost analysis of this or not, but if they increased the Buffet price from $11.99/lb to like $15/unlimited, I would probably come back often. But for now, I am unlikely to come again due to price and quantity. Customer pool was very low during my lunchtime visit. There were not a huge selection of buffet options available, which may be reactive to the low turnout. Restaurant was clean during my visit. :-) The staff was polite during my visit. :-) The food tasted goods :-) I did have an honest difficulty understanding the host while trying to order due to language barrier. We were pleasantly surprised by simple and fresh Yellow Dal and Saag paneer, both of which tasted fresh and non greasy. Roti was whole wheat and Superb! No atmosphere no music, weird silence and the humming of kitchen fans. Setup feels like a cheap cafeteria. Bad sign that at 12:45 i am the only lunch customer here. How is the food? Well, I asked for spicy and it tastes like Campbell's tomato soup with seasoning, and it's very soupy as well. It's pretty bland and they added a couple raw pieces of onion and bell pepper. Barely any meat in the dish, and garlic naan was thin and burnt. I suspect my rice was microwaved by the off texture. Will I return? Nope. This was a sad waste of money. There are other indian establishments that are great and not too far. Sitara, taste of india, and red fort are all amazing. This place was just garbage food and a waste of money. read more

My husband and I love Indian food and since we moved back to Ogden, we have not found a spot that we love. FINALLY, we have a delicious Indian food spot that we can go to that is in the Ogden area that we LOVE!!! Probably the best Indian food I have had. Looking at the website, I thought it would be a sit down restaurant but it is an "express". The express aspect made the service go quick and we enjoyed the same quality of food that you would find in an upscale formal restaurant. The restaurant is really clean and had a lot of room to sit. I went in for lunch a couple of days ago and the food was only okay. The tikka masala tasted way way stronger of tomato than any other I've had in the past. My wife and I decided to just mix that and coconut korma sauce and it was actually better. Neither had much heat at all-I'd say a 1 out of 10 on heat/spice. They DEFINITELY need to turn the AC on, I'd guess it was 85-90 degrees inside the restaurant which was less than ideal. I would consider coming back maybe once they're more established at this location and have the buffet and things running. read more

Ganesh Express allows you to order a la carte by the pound, or as made to order entrée. I've always thought the "by the pound" thing was a gimmick, so I stay away from that option. I'm a big fan of vindaloo. I've tried both the chicken and lamb vindaloo at Ganesh Express and both times it was tasty, spicy, and hot as lava after I got it back to work. All entrées that I have tried have the option for mild, medium, and hot. The naan is good, with the garlic version being is my favorite. The restaurant is clean and well kept and the staff is friendly. read more

First time here....the food is very good and tasty. We had Chicken & Lamb Tikka Marsala and Chicken & Lamb Coconut Korma. Heat levels were good medium was perfect for me and hot for my son was indeed hot, but not overpowering. The Naan was fresh and hot. That said, this place caters to the takeout crowd, not dine in, which our party of 5 was. Paper plates, plastic utensils and small paper napkins..... and no table service...it didn't project a "top drawer, I want to come back here" feeling. Today is their first day open so there are understandably some hiccups. That being said, the food is absolutely amazing! They have a menu where you have many choices. They also have, for lack of a better term, a sort of buffet where you choose what you want from behind the glass and then pay by weight. Most customers were going this route so they could try a variety. My wife and I decided to order a few things from the menu instead. We ordered: *Chicken Coconut Korma *Lamb Rogan Josh *Garlic Naan *Kublai (sp?) Naan *Spring Rolls *Rice Pudding The Coconut Korma was our favorite. SO we tried this place out because it was fairly new, and heard good things about it..like others, we thought it was a take-out only, but there are seats and booths to sit at. Walking in does not give you a great deal of confidence, there is a peculiar smell in the place, not heavy spice, not old laundry, but something not so pleasant. getting past it, we ordered the lamb vindaloo & saag, with garlic naan. ordering it spicy came at a cost on the vindaloo, yet the saag was not very spicy. as others have said, the naan was thin and probably could have used more seasoning, as it tasted bland. that said, the food was good, not great, but that comes from a food brat, who probably expects more than $14 should give you, this is a good place to order take-out, if you just need a fix between your favorite indian food places.. read more

My wife and I tried this new Indian restaurant and we loved it. Excellent food! Clean facilities, with lunch buffet as well as regular entree menu. It has a small but nice seating area, though most people do takeout. Our meals were great, hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned to our individual tastes. The butter naan was some of the best we've had.
