    Chicken Tikka Masala lunch special
    Rachel B.

Great lunch spot! It's just a little hole in the wall spot, nothing fancy but absolutely perfect for lunch or takeout. The server was so friendly and was happy to explain dishes to anyone with questions. We had the lunch special which today was chicken tikka masala, gobi aloo and plain naan. Everything was delicious and it was so affordable. I'll definitely be back.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. This place is pretty plain without a bunch of decor. We had our choice of tables when we arrived. Our server brought us water and took our drink order. We both had iced tea which is served in a bottle. Nothing fancy here a simple menu of seafood, chicken, lamb and vegetable dishes. My wife ordered the chicken tikka masala while I ordered the shrimp bhuna chili. We also ordered garlic naan and samosa. The samosa was great with a very fresh taste. The naan was also very good. My wife really liked her chicken tikka and my shrimp was great. Nice and spicy with lots of shrimp. So I recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the area give them a try. Like I said it is very plain, nothing fancy just great food and service. We will be going back often.

My mouth starts drooling when I even think of this place! My husband and I order from here regularly, it is one of our guilty pleasures. I've tried everything on the vegetarian menu and the Navratan Korma (aka veggie korma) is where it's at! We also love the garlic naan and jalapeño cheddar naan. If you're craving Indian food, this is the place! The inside setup is okay, if you're looking for a vibey place just order Togo.

    Mediocre decore

If you are looking for a place to sit and dine where the host calls out from the back to people at the door with to go orders, this might be the place for you! Incredibly, comically, slow service. Nediocre food and made a fuss about giving Sriracha and soy sauce, which they didnt give saying, "we are not that restaurant." Absolute dumpster that I would avoid.

Well the day finally arrived and I opted for takeout. I went with the "Make Your Own Seafood Combo" seafood boil and went with: - Shrimp (head-off) .5 lb - Snow Crab Legs .5 lb - Lobster Tail 6 oz You receive one corn and one potato with this particular combo. You can substitute the potato for an additional corn, and vice versa. You also can add on additional at an extra fee. You get several sauce choices along with spice level preference. I settled on Cajun with Fire (which is supposed to be the spiciest/hottest but I found it to be the weakest out of all the seafood boil restaurants that I've tried). Was definitely more medium spice level than the HOTTEST that I requested. The snow crab legs and lobster tail were both delicious and had a lot of meat to be found in both. The shrimp didn't seem to be cooked very well. Even after peeling and taking off the tails it was still quite a bit crunchy. I had requested utensils/napkins, and absolutely nothing was received (so I thanked God I had visited Red Lobster previously and they had given me a reusable plastic crab leg cracker with my previous meal there) otherwise I would have been stumped cracking legs all night long! For the prices at Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood, I really was not that impressed. The fact they only give you one corn (I couldn't care less for the one red potato) and the fact they don't include any utensils or napkins (as this meal is VERY messy) is a complete turn off because the restaurant can definitely afford to compensate. Overall I'd rate them a 3.5, but since that's not possible, I'll round up to a 4 as the lobster tail and snow crab legs were delicious.

As you step inside, you can immediately tell that the establishment is well managed. Everything is beautiful and the staff and quick to welcome you with a smile and seat you. Even in 90-degree-weather days, the coolness from the fountains splashing and numerous nearby trees and bushes make the experience very pleasant with even a slight breeze. The entrees are reasonably priced and very tempting, it's a challenge to choose what to eat. My suggestion? Give the wait staff an idea of your favorites and ask them to make a suggestion. Both times I've been here, I ordered what they suggested and it was amazing. The seafood, sauces and flavors are elegant and well executed. They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. The spaghettini noodles were cooked al dente, the butter garlic sauce was delicious, and when you combined them with a grape tomato, a part of the asparagus heart, and one of the prawns it was a taste symphony! We visited on a Sunday and were charged full dinner price, even though it was lunchtime--but most of what was available felt like leftover lunch items. The food was cold, dried out, and honestly not appetizing at all. The meat was especially tough and hard to chew, which made it even worse. The biggest letdown was the crab legs. We were repeatedly told they'd be out in "10 minutes," but we waited over 30 minutes. When they finally brought some out, there was barely anything--just a few pieces--and they were gone almost instantly. Definitely not what was advertised. The restaurant itself was clean, but it felt pretty rundown and not well maintained. Several food areas were empty, including desserts, and the drink machines were nearly out or barely working. As I was getting ready to leave, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and walked in and it was disgusting. It smelled like throw up, and it looked like somebody had thrown up. One of the most frustrating parts was the drinks. As soon as you sit down, they immediately come to your table and ask what you want to drink, which makes it seem like it's included--but sodas are actually charged separately. It felt very misleading, so just be aware of that. Overall, the whole experience felt disappointing and poorly managed. We will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
