After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end. I told him that's the wood has already been cut but yet he wanted to keep the price at $500. When we began talking about the tint, he also said now that he sees the car in person he has to charge $1300. That is $500 more than what he quoted online. But somehow, now he didn't know anything about the number of windows or my car... he did when we were talking about the stereo. I was excited to drop off my car and he knew it. This is what we call BAIT AND SWITCH. I know it's a classic car, but it seems like he and everyone else wants to rip me off. I left a shop, extremely disappointed and with heartache.

I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I came back here because he had the earliest appointment available. I had the tint done in late January 2026 and went with a ceramic IR tint and went darker then what the owner Andrew recommended. Fast forward to June - July the tint was not reflecting any heat. We contacted Andrew and wanted to charge an additional $250 to essentially remove the tint and install a new tint. The excuses from the curve of the windshield etc.. and just refused to take ownership / responsibility for a bad install or incorrect tint film used. We have 3 other cars all with front windshield tints done by AMB and blacked out tint and have ZERO issues. Needless to to we will not be doing business here again will not be recommending to families and friends for any future services. Take your business elsewhere because this is not the place it use to be. We have been getting tint on our cars for over 15 years this isn't our first time !!!
