OUTSTANDING!!!! From the phone call asking if the did muffler deletions to the end of the service. OUT FRICKIN STANDING!! They were friendly, professional and fast!! They did a great job!! I would definitely come back again. I recommend them 1000%! They didn't charge me and arm and leg so I was able to go shopping afterwards. Lol!! Came and brought my jeep gladiator 2025 for a muffler delete . The owner puts my truck onto the lift and quotes me $140 I've paid $80-90 for my previous trucks and I stated that to him . Owner starts bringing my truck down then starts negotiating after he got upset and said take it to the other shops . Very unprofessional and overpriced . Took my money to Velasquez & Sons Mufflers IV and they took care of me for $95 . Wouldn't recommend this place for a fix's .

First class service up down in and out! They always shoot you straight and come up with different options because Exhaust work can be expensive. At least three vehicle vehicles here., I even forgot my bike there recently, and the owner was gracious enough to hold onto it for me until I could get back to get it! Highly recommend!! read more

Took my 92 mustang 5.0 here for performance mufflers and to have the tailpipes re-attached. They had the mufflers I was looking for in stock, completed the work while I waited, and brought me out to inspect once completed. Top notch work and reasonably priced. This is the place to go if you have a vintage or custom ride and you want the good sounds outta your pipes! read more

The service was quick and very good. I got my dodge charger rt mid mufflers deleted and I was skeptical about where I could get this done but I came across this place. And I was not disappointed! Very great price and overall service was great! Highly recommend for any exhaust systems! read more

Was having a problem with disappearing radiator fluid in reservoir etc. in my 2006 Jeep Commander. Stopped in today without an appt. Cesar got me in quick and Victor diagnosed the problem being a faulty radiator and water pump. Victor replaced both in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. Victor showed me my old parts and informed me what and where everything was leaking. Long story short, everything is working great. Both Cesar and Victor are very professional and very knowledgable. Great neighborhood place and highly recommend! read more

Good quality service and did it for a good price fairly quickly for a resonator delete. Only thing I didn't like was the young man who was working on my car kept telling me how it's not gonna make much of a difference even though I watched videos and it did make it in the end. Then he told me the valves are gonna shake when i start it up because there's no resonator as if I wasn't aware of that like it happens on every car. I understand they want to help customers make the right choice but I'm a pretty knowledgeable car person and it was for a 2020 540 bmw not a corolla but kept downplaying it as if it is. read more

Called in for a quote on spring install, had been using cesar for many years on many cars I've had. I don't know if I caught him on a bad day but boy was he rude. Upon answering I expressed who I was and asked how he was doing and his response was "what do you need." So I let it go and explained what I was calling about; spring install. He asked me to hold and then came back and said no we aren't doing mechanic work. Only exhaust. Apparently it changed over a weeks time. Had just been there a week before. What bothered me was being talked to the way he did after being his customer for several years and referring friends. No hard feelings on my end, went on to the next shop who didn't treat me this way. Definitely not my loss. Very disappointed with attitude. read more

This shop has always beat any price from competitors and they show me what's wrong (rather than telling me) and always do a great job, guarantee the labor and part. Ive recommended this place to many people and they always share the same friendly professional experience. My 2001 mazda is in tip top shape along with my wife's car 2005 Hyundai. People and work you can trust. Great place. Can't express how grateful i am this place exists. Because of them i was ALMOST scammed by firestone which tried to charge me over a grand on a $300 dollar job. They tell you during inspection what HAS to be done and how much longer life does this and that have left. Truly reliable. read more

I went here to have an aftermarket cat back exhaust installed on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I drove a little further to have it installed here after reading the positive reviews and I'm glad I did. Very satisfied with the service and craftsmanship! Cesar was personable and helpful in walking me through my new exhaust. Came here because I thought I needed a new muffler. Read some of the reviews and gave them a shot. After careful inspection of my truck they came out and said it was not the muffler, but it was rotters on the rear tires. They gave me an estimate and after 1 hour job was completed. They also give you Warranty.. will definely be coming back for truck work. read more

These guys beat an estimate from Velazquez mufflers which was awesome! The crew works fast on fixing your pipes, but the real all-star here is the front desk manager (I believe her name is Cathy). We took our car for a routine checkup before our drive for the holidays. After being told we needed transmission fluid, we paid and went on our way. Not even an hour into our drive, our car broke down completely on the side of the highway. A $120 tow, a $1400 transmission and a $400 rental later, we were on the phone with Garcias trying to rectify the situation. NOTE: we had NEVER had a single problem with our transmission before taking it to Garcias. We wanted reimbursement for a new shop we trusted to fix the transmission. They told us NO WAY, but they would pick our car up from Gary, Indiana (where it broke down), and repair it at half the price (still $800 on top of the $570 we originally spent with them). We agreed after back and forth phone calls. A day later, they called us to say they WERE NOT picking the car up (they were too busy and we needed to get it fixed elsewhere now), and they'll just give us $450 (note: at this point, we had spent about $2500 between the original fee, the rental, the tow and the new transmission). Miguel and Andrea were incredibly apologetic and very kind. The owner, however, would NOT budge and was incredibly rude. We just heard back from the shop that fixed our car...Garcias put the WRONG transmission fluid in our car, causing the transmission to break down. How did he know? Honda's need to use special brand-specific transmission fluid that smells COMPLETELY different. After all was said and done we spent money here to get our car broken and spent another 2k trying to fix it and get where we needed to go. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I drive up from Lakeview (30min with traffic) to make sure this is the only mechanic shop that ever touches my car. I don't think it's a coincidence that I rarely need anything outside of routine oil changes. During my most recent experience I had a work conflict arise during my initial scheduled appointment and I missed my appointment. I called back a few days later to reschedule and received a warm greeting from the office manager who was happy to reschedule my appointment later that same day. Excellent service, trustworthy staff, and very fair prices. I made several special requests for my oil change and the staff continued to exceed my own level of attention to detail, where does that happen anymore? Unbelievable service, price, and quality. I will continue to rely on Garcia Muffler as my sole provider for auto services in the Chicago area until I no longer reside here. Thank you to every at GM! read more

This place is top notch. Brought my 2014 Grand Cherokee in for some exhaust work and let me say I am more than thrilled about the work these guys did. My previous exhaust system was crushed in an accident. I had purchased new mufflers and tips to be installed not knowing the wide selection they had. Their price to fabricate what I wanted was competitive to another exhaust shop I have gotten a quote from. In the end it was the rave reviews that helped me make the choice. I have to start by saying this is the only place I will take my cars. Been going here a while, and they are great, very competatively priced for the best work and very fast turn around. I went to them the first time to fix the hack job exhaust work Velasquez did, their welds are beautiful and they reinforced everything, they went back and painted the welds to protect from rust, and to look at it and how they positioned the dual exhaust, they are dead even and center, they look stock. Best work, they also do my oil changes and I never have to worry about going back and checking if things are tight, etc. Love this place, I'll be a life long customer. read more

I brought my car here to get an oil change for my car, bought my own oil and filter from the part store. All they had to do was to change the oil and filter. They got the job done in less than 15 mins which was fantastic but one thing they didn't do was resetting the maintenance light on my dash. read more

I'd replaced the battery before, so I tried that again... nothing. My (very mechanically inclined) husband tried too--still nothing. That kicked off the search for a replacement, and wow--what a frustrating experience. The dealership quoted me $600 to replace and program a new key. Automotive locksmiths were all over the place--$180, $250--and the whole process felt vague and transactional, like you couldn't get a straight answer without jumping through hoops. Then I found Avondale Auto Repair through the Costco Auto Program--and everything changed. Rick answered the phone, and within seconds I felt reassured. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. Instead of trying to sell me something, he explained the pros and cons--how aftermarket keys often don't last, and how they source directly from the dealer but can usually save customers about $100. No pressure. Just real, helpful information. When I came in, that same feeling continued. The shop itself is clean, bright, and welcoming--nothing like the typical auto repair environment. Nathan (Rick's brother-in-law) was at the front desk and immediately made us feel comfortable. Friendly, genuine, and incredibly helpful. Before recommending anything, he opened up my key and inspected it to confirm it wasn't just a battery issue. That alone told me everything--I wasn't being upsold. They were actually trying to help. Then Rick came back from lunch and did the same thing again, just to double check. I paid a deposit and they said they'd call once they got the key from the dealership. It took a few days. Even though they were short-staffed they week of my FOB order, Nathan handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He called three different dealerships to track down my key (since it was out of stock everywhere), coordinated the order, and made the whole process seamless. We used to have a go-to repair shop nearby, but after a change in ownership, it just hasn't been the same. Now, we've found our new place. There is an air conditioned waiting area that has water, coffee, Wifi, and a restroom. It's a comfortable location for services that take a little longer or if it's just generally a busier day. My car was running fine before the oil change, I thought maybe they didn't connect something back. I called the shop and they sent someone, Nicholas, right away. At first he couldn't find any wrong. He called his manager who suggested he reach out to two other managers. The other managers weren't available. After about 25 minutes of trying to get my car started he left and suggested I have the car towed to a shop and if what was wrong happened to be their fault they would work to cover the cost of the repair. Nicholas returned 5-10 minutes later. One of the other managers had reached out to him with a suggestion. The suggestion worked and my car was running just fine!! This business and their employee, Nicholas, came through for me!!

I've used these guys a few weeks ago for a repair to a factory exhaust and had great success, price was right and they were friendly. came back a few weeks later to have my own aftermarket exhaust put on and price was as quoted, they rewelded a part that needing correcting (me telling them i wanted it fixed), were friendly and had it done in a very timely manner. and I'm extremely picky and look over everything. very satisfied. will use these guys again in the future if needed. read more

Scheduled an appointment because I my exhaust had rusted through and you could hear my car down the street. The mechanic took my car in, put it up on the lift and show me what was going on. Within in 30 minutes, he was done and he showed me exactly what he did to fix the problem. Their customer service was excellent, and prices were more than fair. I drove in to find out what was wrong with my Chevy Traverse since it had been making the ugliest sounds. I was expecting to hear that it needs this and that work done and I expected I'd be hit with $400 bill. He took a look at it and fixed it within 15 minutes. This is the right shop to get what I wanted done right. I came in to get some advice on making my Challenger sound more like a muscle car that it truly is. The owner recommended flowmaster super 10's and i listened. Best decision I ever made as far as my car goes. I got the exact sound that I wanted within a few hours of being there.
