I have been looking for a barber shop since the pandemic was over. The barbershop I used to go to clothes during the pandemic and never open back. I was driving down Pico and saw this barbershop. I called them and they said they could take me. I went in and I had one of the best razor shaves. Although they don't really use hot towels he does use a towel to make your beard moist. And he gives one of the closest shaves no problem. I don't know my barber's name but he stands in the very back facing the door. He doesn't speak English so one of the other Barbers has to translate. And that's not a problem. They only take cash and the prices are very reasonable. I hope you give him a try if you need a shave. Can't speak to the haircut but I get my head shaved and my face shaved. I have no complaints read more

$15 for the worst haircut! Not just that, but I am either too much of a germaphobe or is it disgusting to have someone blow the hair off of you with their mouth? I wasn't happy with my cut and asked her to fade it in, so she messed it up more and chose to just to take my robe off saying that was all she could do. Not only was it unsanitary, but she cut me (albeit a minor cut, but imagine it was a child). On my way to pay a real barbershop to fix what she did. read more

JC took the time to hear what I wanted, offered suggestions, and we came to a to a mutual agreement on my beard trim and a cut. I was happy with the outcome. I've been a client with JC for almost 4 years now. To be honest, I was a bit reluctant at first to let him cut my hair. He's Latino, and not all barbers understand black hair ‍. From a recommendation, I hit him up and thought why not? He's local and seems like he has a handle on things. First cut was on point. No razor bumps after and a legit fade. If you are looking to get a great haircut at a affordable price, Garcia's Barber shop is the way to go. There prices vary depending on what type of hair style you decided to get, but the prices remain incredibly affordable. I went yesterday to get my haircut and was charged 13 dollars for a full haircut. I got a taper, line up, and a design for 13 bucks. It doesn't get any cheaper than that. Garcia's Barber Shop is located around the corner of Hoover and Venice. You can make an appointment with a barber or you can simply walk in and get attended. I recommend calling ahead and setting up an appointment, it saves a lot of time. The place was renovated just recently. It has a very modern and clean cut look. All the appliances are brand new, including seats, desks, TV's, and their is also some vending machines. The tile is always kept nice and shiny. It looks like a very well kept Barber shop. Compared to other shops were there seems to be cramped together. The shop is very spacious and is air conditioned at all times. The environment makes the costumer feel comfortable. Since the barber shop is kept very clean, their will be a nice and fresh smell. The gel they put on their customers after they finish has a very minty smell to it. It's pretty pointless to put gel, because you are going to shower, but nonetheless it is a nice gesture. The Barber chairs are also very comfortable to sit in. So as your barber is cutting your hair, you'll be sitting in a very cushioned and spacious seat. Which also leads me to the service. The barbers do a very great job. They take their time on each customer they serve. They are very careful when they use their equipment. As I have experienced with other barbershops, they seem to always be in a rush. As a result they are a bit rough on cutting your hair. I've been cut multiple times with other barbershops. In this barber shop it is different, they are very careful with the safety of the customer. As well as making sure the customer is satisfied with the haircut and the service they received. Since the barber shops have a couple flat screen TV's, you will mostly be hearing whatever they decide to put on the screen. Some times they let the customer choose something, which I find quite special to this barber shop. If you aren't hearing the television, you will most likely hear the barber talk to their customers. Like any other barbershop in Los Angeles, Barbers love to talk. Which is completely fine because they talk about topics that we as costumers can relate to. The only thing I would suggest for this shop, is for them to hire a couple more barbers. Since the shop is getting a bit more known, there is hardly time to make an appointment with a barber. If you do a walk in, you most likely aren't getting a haircut that day. Hiring a couple more people would help the shop more in terms of efficiency. Apart from that, this is a very great barber shop. I really recommend this shop, for those looking for great quality work for a reasonable price. 5/5 stars. read more

He was wearing a mask , had a quick introduction, took a seat started with great conversation and ended with great haircut . I found my new barbershop. I got a medium skin taper he was great , really good at his craft ! Lineup was on point everything was great , I would definitely recommend coming here telling him exactly what you want and he will deliver , overall great spot and it has history which is wonderful here in LA . JC is a great guy, he even gave me someone else's spit because he didn't show up. But I went to a barbershop for one reason, and that's a good cut which I didn't get. I showed him pictures made sure he know what I want and he said it's very easy for him. I also mentioned my hair will be very spiky if you cut too much just thin out. Within a few seconds one of the barbers (Danny)called my son up to one of the workstations to start working on him. Since we didn't know exactly what haircut would be best they offered us some suggestions. I felt very pleased with the level of customer service at this establishment.
