The tech came to downtown LA (dtla) without hesitation (which is very unusual).  We were impressed enough we provided their info to the buildings chat group and our property management company. After a power surge and outage in our area the motherboard of our 19 year old fridge was fried and our refrigerator wasn't working the day before my birthday party. We had purchased all the food and it was in the fridge. We noticed the issue after 7PM on Friday and couldn't find anyone to fix it. MICHAEL CAME TO THE RESCUE and worked on the motherboard that evening and when that didn't work he called his supplier first thing in the morning and came with his colleague to repair the fridge. My oven had already been worked on twice during the first year warranty, but the company that Home Depot sent was unable to fix the problem after two attempts, even though the oven was new at the time. Nick, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem and fixed it successfully on his first attempt. His work was very efficient and he could not have been more professional, courteous, or pleasant throughout the entire process. The second appliance was my washing machine, which presented a little more of a challenge because the necessary part was difficult to find, but Nick was able to locate the correct part and complete the repair really quickly. The three visits to work on both appliances included the initial evaluations, identifying and obtaining the correct parts, and completing repairs to both appliances. Considering the amount of time Nick spent working, and the fact that three separate visits were required, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. By today's standards it's worth repeating....the prices were extremely reasonable ! I highly recommend TJ Appliance Repair, and if you have the opportunity, I would recommend asking for Nick. I kept the parts from the machine that were supposedly repaired by Lifesaver. I was told that these parts looked so worn out that they were original parts (aka: never replaced). It makes me wonder what Lifesaver claims to have fixed last time they "repaired" the unit? I'm sure I will be speaking with Mike soon as I have reported the problem to the BBB.

So we hired a REAL repair technician (Emins Air Conditioning and Heating........who I can't give high enough praise) to come down. He replaced a couple sensors and the board with a NEW one. He pointed out a lot of extremely poor work that had already been done, shoddy wiring and scratched off ID stickers. Also pointed out that the compressor is bad and we'll be lucky to get a few more months out of it. Sweet. That's my experience with Lifesaver Appliance. He had a snake with a bristle brush and cleared out the duct from both sides. We realized my prior technician hadnt reset my laundry accordion doors properly, and the prior tech had forgotten to turn the gas back on. Ray ran multiple cycles and diagnosed a faulty ignition- sometimes on/off. After it was all done, he cleaned up and attached my door back in place. He was patient and thorough, we ran a small load if wet laundry while resetting everything and cleaning. Once he confirmed it all worked reliably, he was done. I appreciate his thoroughness and great attitude through a long afternoon.
