However, my experience was the complete opposite, I dropped off my boots Wednesday, he reassured they would be ready Saturday morning. I arrived Saturday around noon, my boots had not even been touched, then he proceeds to tell me give him five minutes, went to the back wiped them down with a rag and spray painted my boots, for $40. I came in to make a return and after scanning my receipt etc. she asks for my email and I say "I didn't use an email when I purchased" then in a passive aggressive tone she replies "what's your email" ignoring what I said. I gave her my email and then she asks for my phone number, I say "why do you need my phone number" she replies "what's your number" passive aggressive and again ignoring what I asked. I don't like going back n forth with workers or give a hard time so I gave it to her. She then gives me my receipt and says " thank you" I take it and say " you too ". About 2 minutes later, I get a "welcome to the club" from dr.martens in my email. She signed me up without asking me and without acknowledging what I was asking during the process. That is unacceptable, I shouldn't be signed up without my consent.

I requested a chargeback because it just wasn't worth the hassle. I have no doubt that these guys run a great store, but their online fulfillment needs serious work. According to their website, you're supposed to contact them if you don't receive a package within 7 days. I placed an order on August 2. On August 10 I tried contacting the store by email and phone. On August 11 I DM'd their Instagram account to see if they'd respond there. It is now late on August 12 and I have yet to receive a reply anywhere. I do not mind waiting longer than 7 days for a package, but I would just like some confirmation of why it is taking longer than expected. Unfortunately, after reading other reviews I should expect to be disappointed. This is upsetting because this was not a small order, I spent +$250 because this seems like a trustworthy business.
