I've asked for two different services here: 1) my shoe was slightly big, and so the owner offered a cushion pad that I can easily slide inside to create a more secure fit; 2) I needed a bigger readjustment, so the owner used his sewing machine to cut and reattach the straps, along with some padding. All times, I was very satisfied with the service, friendly encounter, and how the shoes fit. He's a true craftsman who really knows his trade and always has a solution or just about any issue you bring him, whether it involves shoes, leather, or a repair you thought might not even be possible.

He is good about making recommendations to not repair if he doesn't deem it worth the cost. It wasn't my favorite spot and I won't return, but maybe you'll have better luck.

I came in to make a return and after scanning my receipt etc. she asks for my email and I say "I didn't use an email when I purchased" then in a passive aggressive tone she replies "what's your email" ignoring what I said. I gave her my email and then she asks for my phone number, I say "why do you need my phone number" she replies "what's your number" passive aggressive and again ignoring what I asked. I don't like going back n forth with workers or give a hard time so I gave it to her. She then gives me my receipt and says " thank you" I take it and say " you too ". About 2 minutes later, I get a "welcome to the club" from dr.martens in my email. She signed me up without asking me and without acknowledging what I was asking during the process. That is unacceptable, I shouldn't be signed up without my consent.
