I wanted to get estimates on removing a tree near my front door. So I reached out to about five vendors. One quickly responded that I was outside of their service area. Others never responded or said they would go by and offer and estimate. One nursery I visited sent an estimator who ignored related landscaping requests and only gave an estimate on tree removal and cleanup ($1,300). They never provided the additional estimates requested and made excuses. Garcia's sent someone out within a couple of days of making contact. They said the removal cost would be $700, but offered a discount because it was early in the season ($550). I accepted the offer. I didn't hear back about scheduling the removal for a couple of weeks (they said because of rain delays they said). Soon after, the work was completed. No mess or scraps were left behind and they didn't even ask for payment until checking on my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. Mr. Garcia gave me the best estimate for removing a couple of trees. His team arrived before the scheduled time and worked all day! They took care to ask the neighbor (the townhouse beside me) to move their deck furniture, and then they got to work. In a few hours they had both trees down. Each was over 20 feet tall. They mulched it in one truck, and had a stump grinder with them too that ground every bit of that stump down to ground level. In the pic, there were 3 trees clustered where you see only one. You can't even tell there were ever other trees there! I worried whether they were going to leave a mound of mulch, but they didn't. They removed it all, blew off the patio and even removed some seedlings that had popped up from falling seeds. The sidewalks, my front door mat, everything left pristine. I am REALLY PLEASED with this company's work. read more

UPDATE: The manager, George, contacted me and was wonderful about resolving the issues. I called the office and first spoke to the secretary, who was very defensive and challenged my version of what had happened. However, George called me later that day to smooth things over. He actually listened to what I had to say, apologized for the problems we experienced, and explained the issues the company had with the broken stump grinder. The following day, he came out to our house to give us a partial refund on the stump grinding and to return the $30 in cash that my parents gave the workers. He also gave us a 20% discount on any future tree work with the company. George clearly knows how to make things right with customers and shows that ensuring good customer service is his top priority. My husband contacted Garcias Tree Experts to remove a leaning tree from our backyard and grind up the stump. It was initially a positive experience. They came out to give us a quote in 24 hours and were quick to answer our questions. On September 1, they came to remove the tree. Before leaving, the workers said that the stump grinders would return to finish the job later that week. We did not hear from them until someone called on September 14 (two weeks later) to tell us that they would come the following week to grind the stump. The following week, no one called. My husband finally emailed them on September 27, nearly a month after they came to remove the tree, even though the contract said that all work would be completed within 15 days. We finally received an email response 3 days later with an apology and explanation that there was a problem with their stump grinder. On October 3, they showed up to grind the stump without letting us know in advance. There was an additional issue, possibly due to language barriers, when the workers spoke to my parents who were at the house (and who are not the property owners and not on the contract with Garcias) and offered to do work outside of the contract and remove other tree roots and branches in the yard for an extra $30 in cash. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with Garcia's. They were always friendly and helpful over the phone. They were prompt to swing by our house, look at our doomed tree and provide an estimate. They were super fast at faxing over a copy of their insurance, and they have a great reputation with the Better Business Bureau. They showed up right on time and started hacking away -- mainly one guy roped up in the tree with a chain saw, and a bunch of guys clearing branches to the chipper. The whole tree was down in about two and a half hours. The trunk sections were hauled away within a few business days. We chose Garcia's initially because they provided the best price and they checked out as a reputable business. But if/when we need any more assistance with trees, I will call them back because they did a really good job and they run a great business. read more

They are absolutely wonderful!! Quick estimates and quick service!! I highly recommend!! I scheduled an estimate in less than 24hours, and then they contacted me a few hours after the estimate with scheduling options as early as the next day!! I was really impressed!! Then they gave me a service window, and when the crew arrived they got the work done very seamlessly and quickly!! They were done within 30min! I had a medium size tree removed and a pruning of a large pine tree in the back. And to top it off their prices were very reasonable! Customer service was excellent as well, it is a family owned business and the two young ladies I spoke with were very very pleasant and helpful!! Don't go with this company if you want a receipt for your payment. Garcias did a decent job cutting down a few dead trees but rushed at the end and said they'd send me a receipt later. (Not too rushed to accept the payment though.) I need a receipt for my records and have requested my receipt numerous times with no luck. read more

I'm new at writing reviews but this one I had to write first of all the company was outstanding with the home Estimate and I was please to know they do financing which was a big plus for me as I'm am low income as we got to the day of cutting my big till tree down they where on point with the time of arrival they started from the top and work down the big tree piece by piece tie off and lowered the branches down and time for clean up did and outstanding job on clean up overall they have my 5 star rating so for those of you looking to concur a big tree job don't hesitate in calling this company thanks again guy's great job well done. read more

They are friendly and price match which is great! I'm sure they do great work, HOWEVER, they claim they are fully insured and they are NOT. Their general liability insurance would have expired after I scheduled my appointment and they cancelled their workers comp insurance. Just know the risk if you hire while they have no insurance. read more

We had a very large tree leaning toward our deck, fence and corner of our house. Garcia's Tree representative showed up on time and gave us an estimate. We decided to go with them after getting other reviewing other estimates (and waiting for some companies that never showed up to the appointment). We called to schedule and they were able to get to us within 2 days. The crew of 3 was efficient and cleaned up after them selves. We didn't need the stump ground as the tree bordered the wooded area by our home, but the crew did cut the stump down very low so that it is hardly visible. I thought cutting down a huge tulip poplar over power lines was going to be very costly. It was not. Garcia's crew showed up promptly and presented a certificate of insurance. They were fully equipped, sufficiently automated, and all dressed in company uniforms. In half a day, the tree was down and sliced and all of the limbs had been ground up and hauled away. I was told by the foreman that someone would be back the following evening to collect the enormous slices of trunk. One man came the next day with a contraption that picked up everything and dropped it into a closed truck bed. Fast, efficient, safe, reasonably priced, and they do a thorough job of clean-up. I can't say enough about this company. I had 1 large tree, 5 small trees, and a stump that all had to be removed. They responded promptly, set up an appointment, and gave me a thorough estimate. They were able to schedule me within a very short period of time and arrived on time. The coned off the street and worked quickly and professionally. Initially, there were concerns about getting the stump grinder into my yard. I live in area where my front lawn is about 4 feet off of the ground. They brought the stump grinder through the alley and were able to remove a section of the fence to get the stump grinder into the yard. Of course, they put the section back in perfect condition and finished the job. Most companies would have said that they could not grind the stumps, but Garcia Tree Experts found a solution and made it work. I was very pleased with their professionalism and care that they gave the job. They cleaned up the yard and left everything in great condition. My neighbors were so impressed with the work that two of them asked the gentlemen for their cards to get work done. Very poor customer service; owner wouldn't call me back. I verified the work the week before and specifically asked if we needed a bigger crane than the one they had- they said no. Then they showed up without any crane- just 4 guys, and when I called, the secretary told me they needed a bigger crane, and that would cost another $4000. No apologies. read more

WOW. After years trying to find a company to remove a massive Maple tree in my backyard, I was lucky enough to find Garcia's. The HUGE tree in my small backyard was hard to access, so they only had limited access with a crane, meaning most of the removal was done by hand. Other companies either cost way too much or lacked the equipment to do the job. A couple of companies agreed to do the job, only to no-show or decline after their work crew faced the monster tree up close. Not only did Garcia's give me the lowest estimate, their crew showed up on time and completed the job in one day. The guys were polite and professional.
